Since you can release Bashkiria from either Nogai or Kazan, whichever you choose, you should take your provinces from the other one, too.

You actually could have released Gascony from just the province of Rouergue! Gascony's primary culture (Gascon) is in the same culture group (French) as that of the province of Rouergue (Occitan); the rule is that the province cannot be from a different culture group than the primary culture of the nation to be released.
An example of this is that you cannot release Iraq from just the province of Hisn Kayfa, since the province is Kurdish, from the Iranian culture group, and Mashriqi Iraq requires a fellow Levantine-cultured province to be released. Meanwhile, you can (and usually should) release nearby Syria from a province with a non-Syrian Levantine culture (like Bedouin or Mashriqi) to use the cores to reconquer Syria proper from the Mamluks.
Hey RH can you do a guide for majapahit 1.34? Most guides for it are pretty outdated

A-Z and releasables really are the best kind of EU4 content. Sort of becomes a grand tour of everything the game has to offer in terms of different regions and flavour mechanics. It makes every video feel fresh and original because there's always some interesting challenge
It also highlights some insane and lesser known mechanics.

I think it would be fine for Redhawk to form a formable nation at the end of the playthrough if it feels fitting. It gives the reward of achieving something while also not abusing the formable nations better ideas
Watching you has now got me saying "forgor" instead of "forgot", and as linguistics student, I don't know what to make of it.
Although "zero to hero" would have been a good name for a series, I like "Releaseables" more, as it basically explains the series in 1 simple word, it's releaseables, you know what to expect from the start. You chose wisely.
I'm waiting for smolensk, probably the most interesting releasable nation! Too bad we most likely won't ever see them...
zaporozhie is also great, they get a unique gov form. i once played a zaporozhie > poland for polish ideas + hetmanate gov reform > ruthenia for larp purposes, very fun

Really good video A-Z needs to catch up shows how much RNG dictates video quality.
If you are still failing as Dali in China, maybe try nation ruining the Ming since it seems imporisble otherwise. If it's still impossible, try giving dali more provinces from ming or something else. I'd rather you play as Dali and break the rules of Relesables, then just skip them.

the problem i find with playing releasable nations is half the time you end up just becoming the nation you were released from and its kinda like wait why didnt i just stay with the original nation
Sometimes it’s fun to RP as a rebelling duke and it’s usually a challenging run so it’s more a test of skill than anything
This campaign may not have been painful for Hawk, but watching it was painful for me. Why? Because he went 'zero to hero', while I started a Granada campaign today and can't get it rolling.
Castille, Aragon and Portugal are all allied to each other. I'm allied to Morocco and Tunis. The campaign has been going for over 20 years and all I did was take 3 provinces from Tlemcen (Tunis and Morocco took the rest). I'm poor af and behind on tech due to the 1/1/0 starting ruler. I am also allied to the Ottomans, so I'm safe defensively, but they won't help me against the Spanish, cause they're constantly in debt. I'm just wasnting time while my enemies grow stronger. Pain.
