The end of Summer, I was always sad to send my girl back, but she always enjoyed getting to see all of her friends again. Little Emily sounds all grown up now, I remember when it was Audrey up on the counter helping you cook now the helper role has been passed down and she's doing a great job. How fun to lose her tooth and get a little something from the tooth fairy. The pool and the yard look amazing, I bet you're all looking forward to having the whole summer next year to enjoy it. Happy Birthday to Dave, your lasagna looked fabulous as did the Ice-cream cake, way better than the pizza he told would be fine. I make lasagna in much the same way, my mom always used cottage cheese instead of ricotta and we actually prefer it that way now too. I don't make it very often just because we don't eat enough of it, and my daughter and her husband don't really care for red sauce, so I don't make it for them. I do think I'm going to try and make some lasagna roll ups but instead of noodles I'm going to use thin zucchini slices, better for the hubs and I and we can make a smaller amount. We've been babysitting for the Mackenzie quite a bit, it brings such joy to our days. She is growing up so quickly almost 3 months now, time sure flies. Thanks for sharing the time with us, I always love seeing a new post from you.
Thanks, Tania. The lasagna and the cake were both delicious, but next time I'll use caramel sauce on the cake. Emily (well all four of them) is growing so quick, I can see it happening before by eyes!! Lasagna roll ups sound delicious! You must be over the moon when you get to babysit, and I love her name!!! Have a wonderful weekend! 😊
Thanks, Dana. They had a great first day back. I'm a little later posting this video, so they've been back a week now. But so far they're enjoying it. Have a wonderful weekend. 😊
