@@RayanBayatiHD because they CANNOT refuse a demonstration, by Swedish constitutional law. The only time the Police are allowed to say no to a request for a demonstration is if they are unable to facilitate the protection of safety for all people present. And this does NOT include the risk of violence. It is more a question of time and location.
For example, they CAN refuse a request for a demonstration in the middle of a road or on the runway of an airfield. Then they can refuse the time and location requested.
But if the location (in this case, a public park close to the Embassy) is not directly unsuitable, they have to approve a permit. And try to make the best of it.
This is regardless of the message conveyed, as long as it does not break other Swedish laws. Which a burning of a book (however holy), or a flag (even the Swedish one) does NOT. It just is NOT illegal in Sweden to do this. THAT is what “freedom of expression” means.
But it still does not make it appropriate, tasteful, or respectful. Just not illegal. So they CANNOT punish him for it. Regardless how much anyone in Sweden want to (and there are MANY who vehemently disagree with him), he can’t be punished for what is not illegal.
I would say that one of the worst problems is that his message is something along the line of that “all Muslims are violent, unreasonable, religious fanatics”. Which technically toes the line of legality, as long as he does not imply any illegal actions by it. However incorrect and insane that statement is.
In Sweden, most take this for how pathetically retarded it is, and just ignore him.
But when this is picked up by Islamic media, the context is not fully conveyed (for many reasons). And these reactions that are the result, play into his message very well. He WANTS to polarize.

I don't see the burning of a book to mean anything positive in this situation, but it's true that the immigration in Sweden has gone WAY too far. And I'm afraid the situation will be the same in Finland soon. Also, religions coming outside Scandinavia shouldn't have too much space in our cultures. Hopefully people know what I mean by that. Unfortunately, Turkey has completely become a refugee country. While there are many Syrian and Iraqi refugees, there are also Ukrainian and Russian refugees. Russian and Ukrainian refugees live in almost half of a city in southern Turkey. They are orthodox Christians. We do not burn their holy book, the bible. I hope I was able to explain. We are the country that suffers the most in terms of refugees, but we still do not insult anyone's sacred values. We love the human for Allah. i actually think that we as muslims should not react so much on BS things like burning of our Holy Quran because we should not bring ourselves down to engage / react with /to things done by lunatics.
