In fact I was so sure of myself that I looked up your restaurant to see if it was on the menu and listed as such! Wasn't sure what town, so no luck finding the exact, but either way, I know that type of restaurant and that look definitely did not equal American. Nate will be the first to admit he is not a food aficionado, no offense to him or anything, it's just what he said! He may be more used to a firmer cheese blend, I'm guessing, I could be wrong. My Dad is from the Scranton area. This video was awesome. My Mom used to drive my sisters and me from Williamsport to Winter Haven to spend time with our family and some time at WDW. As much as I adore Epcot, even stopping for a hot minute at South of the Border was awesome. Thank you for this post - so many memories!

When we drove down from Toronto we took the 79, to 71, through the mountains and then 95. Took about 21 hours. Did this about 10 times with our cocker spaniel and daughter in the back seat. Now in our 60's we fly down. Coming down to the Poly in August for 16 days. Great video, as always. You and Gracie are the best.
Nate what a great video! You have bought back so many memories of my yearly trips to Miami from New Jersey. My dad drove his station wagon and loaded up the car with three kids my mom my grandparents on my mom's side and my grandmother on my dad's side. The trips were hell but the memories we made along the way are priceless. My sisters and I still laugh and reminisce on our yearly trips down 95 South. Out of all your videos I truly truly truly love this one and I love all your videos. Seeing Pedro's, South of the border, priceless. There was a little motel that we stayed at back when I was about 7 years old on the highway called Queen Annie either in North Carolina or South Carolina. It was our first hotel ever. I remember when my dad was loading up the car the next morning to head to Florida we locked the door by mistake and my little sister was still in the room. She was too small to open the door and back in the day there were no cell phones we had no one to call to open the door so we had to call the police. Just one of the priceless crazy memories that we have of our trips to Florida. My sister was fine it was no more than half an hour that she was in the room by herself but man the memories last a lifetime. Thank you so much for bringing me back to memory Lane down 95 South lol.

If I can’t take her with me I choose to stay home a lot. Needless to say I don’t go many places. I really enjoyed your videos with your sister Bonnie and your Mom. I’m glad you were able to take Gracey with you.

We made that trip a year ago when we moved to Florida from Pennsylvania. It was a long trip but we made it in 2 days. Glad you had fun and shared your adventures with us.

I definitely don't miss the drive from Pennsylvania to Florida, glad Gracie was with you! The last time we did that was moving to Tampa with our lab and 3 cats 3 years ago! Great to see the drive though and glad you and Gracie arrived back safely!

We road-tripped to FL last November and stopped in that same visitor's center. My husband actually got some orange juice, too! We drove from New Mexico though and WDW was our destination. I absolutely loved this road trip video. Thank you for taking us along.

I can't thank-you enough ,taking the time to bring us along to places I've never been to. My world has expanded!!! I have been to South of the Border,though,not for about three or four years. The food in the restaurant was always good,most items made from scratch by a cook who had been there about 25,30 years. I know there's an expectation the food couldn't possibly be good,but it really was,with a really nice salad bar. Thanks for this great road trip!!!

Love, love, love this video! My husband and I took a road trip to Orlando from Missouri with our Boston Terrier last month. It was such a good trip. We stayed at two of the pet friendly Disney resorts. Port Orleans and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Daisy the Wonder Dog loved the golf cart at Fort Wilderness. She is now as addicted to Disney as we are! Thanks for taking us along on your journey!!
Our family drives down to Disney from NY's Finger Lakes region each year. I loved watching you basically do our usual trek! We leave soon and this video is just what I needed. Thanks again Nate for your positive attitude and great videos!
We have family in Canandaigua, NY & we live in FL. We’ve taken a similar route to Nate’s when we drive. We love the Finger Lakes region, especially Skaneateles, NY.

Hi, this was a nice trip. Happy that you got to see your family and glad Gracie was able to go. She's so beautiful and sweet. I know what it's like to go on a road trip. When we go to Florida vacation once every 3 years for the past 10 years. We drove from Tennessee around 14 hour trip. However, we always stay one night in Troy Alabama, then head back out. We don't drive at night to dangerous these days. Plus, we had 2 Service Dogs with us and they needed a rest out of car. We don't drive on Interstate, we take old highways, less traffic. I'm watching your vlog now hope it was a nice trip for y'all. Thanks for sharing. Be Safe Take Care

That Drive has become one of my favorite things about going to Disney. I am in Philly so its 16-18 hours (traffic pending) and This was a great video!! I flew the last 2 times I was down there ( My daughter and I got to meet you and the WDW couple right outside of Memento Mori's in May 2021) This brought back some Nostalgia and I needed it!!! I've noticed how you pronounce mountain, among other words, and I love it. It's unique to hear words pronounced differently in different parts of the country. I'm a native Californian and people on the east coast can usually tell exactly where I'm from by my speech patterns lol. Gas prices look beautiful everywhere you stopped.... Did Gracie stay on her own bed all night in the hotel? Awesome score on those Disney posters!
We have done and still do the !-95 drive as we bring our Molly (little dog) with us but this Video gives us the desire to slow down and make some off road stops to see and experience the real America. You opened our eyes to some new adventures. Will definitely try the hot tamale and ginger alert Pedro's South of the Border as well as the Gettysburg dinner. And for those who have never been to Buc-ees well that is a whole other experience! Thanks Nate! God Bless.

Driving straight 18 hours is not fun but splitting it up was one of the best decisions I have ever made I took my time and paid attention to all of the places I went through and I loved it

I was so happy to see you with your family in PA. I get it though! We are outside of Allentown, PA and moving to Florida at the end of August…2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 kiddos and I! I loved watching this video and your passion for, “stopping to enjoy the small things” in life on your way down. You are truly an inspiration! We are going to take our time as well. I literally booked six different cabins at KOA campgrounds along 81 and 95 on the way down to take it slowly 🙃. Road trip! Hi Nate! I LOVE road trips, diners and history. Like you I enjoy the journey and love to stop and explore. Gracey is a sweetie and awesome travel companion. I've taken 95 countless times from S.C.. to D.C. and back again being I'm a native Washingtonian. When you passed Kings Dominion I was all too familiar being I grew up going there. Also, South of the Border is a fun place to stop. Back in 1979 we stopped there for the night in route to Walt Disney World. I'll never forget the excitement of that place. It's hey day is gone but there's still a little fun left. Anyway, I'm glad you saw your family and made it safely back to Florida.
Nate, loved your road trip. Brought me back to my neck of the world. Camped every year in Gettysburg, have family in Western Maryland and Roanoke Rapids NC. My mom was born in Littleton NC. Both my husband and mother-in-law worked at South of the Border back in the 70’s. Now live in North Charleston SC so used to making the trip up and down I-95. Thanks for taking me along!

We road-tripped to FL last November and stopped in that same visitor's center. My husband actually got some orange juice, too! We drove from New Mexico though and WDW was our destination. I absolutely loved this road trip video. Thank you for taking us along.

I can't thank-you enough ,taking the time to bring us along to places I've never been to. My world has expanded!!! I have been to South of the Border,though,not for about three or four years. The food in the restaurant was always good,most items made from scratch by a cook who had been there about 25,30 years. I know there's an expectation the food couldn't possibly be good,but it really was,with a really nice salad bar. Thanks for this great road trip!!!

Love, love, love this video! My husband and I took a road trip to Orlando from Missouri with our Boston Terrier last month. It was such a good trip. We stayed at two of the pet friendly Disney resorts. Port Orleans and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness. Daisy the Wonder Dog loved the golf cart at Fort Wilderness. She is now as addicted to Disney as we are! Thanks for taking us along on your journey!!

We have family in Canandaigua, NY & we live in FL. We’ve taken a similar route to Nate’s when we drive. We love the Finger Lakes region, especially Skaneateles, NY.
I grew up in Elmira and did the drive 3 times with my family. Only I wasn't old enough to drive then!

Hi, this was a nice trip. Happy that you got to see your family and glad Gracie was able to go. She's so beautiful and sweet. I know what it's like to go on a road trip. When we go to Florida vacation once every 3 years for the past 10 years. We drove from Tennessee around 14 hour trip. However, we always stay one night in Troy Alabama, then head back out. We don't drive at night to dangerous these days. Plus, we had 2 Service Dogs with us and they needed a rest out of car. We don't drive on Interstate, we take old highways, less traffic. I'm watching your vlog now hope it was a nice trip for y'all. Thanks for sharing. Be Safe Take Care

That Drive has become one of my favorite things about going to Disney. I am in Philly so its 16-18 hours (traffic pending) and This was a great video!! I flew the last 2 times I was down there ( My daughter and I got to meet you and the WDW couple right outside of Memento Mori's in May 2021) This brought back some Nostalgia and I needed it!!! I've noticed how you pronounce mountain, among other words, and I love it. It's unique to hear words pronounced differently in different parts of the country. I'm a native Californian and people on the east coast can usually tell exactly where I'm from by my speech patterns lol. Gas prices look beautiful everywhere you stopped....

We have done and still do the !-95 drive as we bring our Molly (little dog) with us but this Video gives us the desire to slow down and make some off road stops to see and experience the real America. You opened our eyes to some new adventures. Will definitely try the hot tamale and ginger alert Pedro's South of the Border as well as the Gettysburg dinner. And for those who have never been to Buc-ees well that is a whole other experience! Thanks Nate! God Bless.

Driving straight 18 hours is not fun but splitting it up was one of the best decisions I have ever made I took my time and paid attention to all of the places I went through and I loved it

I was so happy to see you with your family in PA. I get it though! We are outside of Allentown, PA and moving to Florida at the end of August…2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 kiddos and I! I loved watching this video and your passion for, “stopping to enjoy the small things” in life on your way down. You are truly an inspiration! We are going to take our time as well. I literally booked six different cabins at KOA campgrounds along 81 and 95 on the way down to take it slowly 🙃. Road trip! I will definitely keep my eyes out for some of the things that you crossed along during the way!

Hi Nate! I LOVE road trips, diners and history. Like you I enjoy the journey and love to stop and explore. Gracey is a sweetie and awesome travel companion. I've taken 95 countless times from S.C.. to D.C. and back again being I'm a native Washingtonian. When you passed Kings Dominion I was all too familiar being I grew up going there. Also, South of the Border is a fun place to stop. Back in 1979 we stopped there for the night in route to Walt Disney World. I'll never forget the excitement of that place. It's hey day is gone but there's still a little fun left. Anyway, I'm glad you saw your family and made it safely back to Florida.

Nate, loved your road trip. Brought me back to my neck of the world. Camped every year in Gettysburg, have family in Western Maryland and Roanoke Rapids NC. My mom was born in Littleton NC. Both my husband and mother-in-law worked at South of the Border back in the 70’s. Now live in North Charleston SC so used to making the trip up and down I-95. Thanks for taking me along!
