Great video. Always good to be reminded of the tricks the girls play. My best piece of advice for newbies. Tell the girls this is your 10th trip. They can sniff out someone who is naive, but if they think you have some experience they'll only take an arm and a leg, instead of swallowing you whole.
Definite words of wisdom even for those who have made the trip a few times. Understanding how the losing face system works and what pisses a Thai lady off versus what she will be 'okay' with is important. For me I just normally tell any girl that tries to follow me inside to my seat or who makes an immediate beeline to my table that I am just drinking alone (or with friends) for now and just wants to get the vibe of the place. For the most part they except that, but sometimes the mamasans can get way too aggressive and keep bringing girls over no matter what I say. For those situations I just politely ask to pay the bill and move on.

Rule 1, you are a customer , everyone who "works" in an entertainment area such as Phuket / Pattaya has gone there to earn money , they could work in a factory or a 7-11 but they choose not to do so, their job is to extract as much money as possible from you, Rule 2, you are a customer , Rule 3 ,enjoy being a customer . :)
Just like when you go to a restaurant & the waiter/ waitress smiles at you and commends you on your choice of meal/ wine. Etc. They are there to earn a living and are friendly & complimentary to you because they are hoping for a decent tip when it comes to the bill. I haven’t met anyone yet who has left a restaurant thinking they had a "connection " with their waiter / waitress…😂
Every time I hit them with a "Mai Mie Satang Krap" (ไม่มีสตางค์ครับ), they can't help but laugh and instantly drop their sales pitch. Guess telling them I'm "completely broke... down to the tiniest coin" really does the trick! 😂
Yes never ask Thais for direction. Brings back a distant memory trying to get to my in-laws house in small town 70 km from Pattaya on motorbike. It took us 5 hours and many wrong turns and direction. A lot of great advice in your videos
Went to Bangkok in 2001 and had a good time, only hassle was a girl who came for the night but wanted to leave after 2 hours. Main ripoffs I found at the time were high Tuktuk charges to take you even short distances if they saw you had a girl with you. Presume the environment has changed since then so need to treat myself as a beginner if I manage to visit again soon so thanks for the tips.

The next couple of years will be interesting for Pattaya. With the new and proposed tax laws, there are not going to be as many ex pats around for low season. And with the new ETA system, supposedly being launched in December, its probably going to cut back on border runs and short stay tourism.
I don't think much will change and the tax regulations won't really impact long term visitors to the point where they choose to leave. Right now there seems to be a lot of speculation on how these laws will be enforced and how much tax you will actually have to pay. The 60 day visa on arrival is going to massively cut down on the border runs required.
@@markadler8968 The ETA system would make border runs a thing of the past. Its a pre approval system, so if you have used up your runs for the year they'll just deny before you get on the plane. And it will be required to apply every time you want to enter the country so it effects land crossings too. As for the tax, it depends. If the proposal to tax all income becomes law, then it'll have a huge effect. Some would be on the hook for thousands.
Two sentences come to mind about having fun time with bar girls in Thailand. 1. She is not yours it is just your turn & 2. You can take the girl out of the bar but you cannot take the bar out the girl.

Go go bars and other beer bars will try and squeeze all your money! Stick with freelancers and Gentleman's Clubs. What's incorrect about what this guy (speaker) is saying about young women not going with older men is that before drinks weren't pushed as much, so there was more incentive to go home with any guy. Now all the go go bars and similar establishment's will squeeze you for as many drinks, lifting the girls salaries without having to leave the bar.
@@fredricktomasson Word of advice for someone who isn't experienced with freelancers. Never pay them first, pay after services are rendered. Always talk/discuss/negotiate what services you want and what price you are willing to pay. Always remember that it's Asia (Thailand) and negotiating is common, as these women will tend to start a little high. Ex. 2,000 Baht or more, but can be negotiated to well under 1,500 if you know the game and are decent looking.
Great advice but most newbies won’t follow it on their 1st trip as it’s very overwhelming the 1st time. It takes most a few times before they get it and become disciplined to your advice. As for the girls I’m 53 and prefer ladies in their 30’s to early 40’s plenty of lookers in that age range.
If you got money and you take care of yourself, Keep looking good and you can get any girl you want , I am 54 and I get early 20’s all day long. If you want to have a good sleep alone start with Soi 6 or a GC in the late afternoon, then move to a few bars on Soi 7 or Soi Buakhao or Soi Pothole and then end on Walking Street or Soi Diamond. After such a day you might need some sleep alone 😂

Ive certainly been swarmed several times. It's annoying. Now my biggest issue is going into a bar where I have spent time with multiple girls. As far as them solely being after the money, they are human, so treat them kindly and with grace. There are some girls here who I think are genuinely happy to see me. Other ;-)) the first few nights by going too hard on the go go train. It's a rip OFF...Also Bros...dont pay more than 3k for LT. 2...even 1 is possible.... indy chicks fill every corner of the city. The go go niners will "go" for LT for 4 if they do like you. The gist is: the less we all insist on paying...the less they make us pay. The customer should determine the market I say.

It is because the malls over there usually don't contain a certain violent subset of the population and if they do they never get out of line because the Thais refuse to tolerate any of their BS. There's something in the water or somtam fish sauce in Thailand that clouds mens' minds. I would never go into a LTR or contemplate marriage with a sw,bg, or pro in my country or anywhere else but ... Thailand is a whole other story. "She's different".

3 day rule isn't for me. I'm not against ST fun, but to me the longer I am with a lady, the better time I have. Each to their own I guess, and I am quite capable of compartmentalising my emotions. What's incorrect about what this guy (speaker) is saying about young women not going with older men is that before drinks weren't pushed as much, so there was more incentive to go home with any guy. Now all the go go bars and similar establishment's will squeeze you for as many drinks, lifting the girls salaries without having to leave the bar.

@@fredricktomasson Word of advice for someone who isn't experienced with freelancers. Never pay them first, pay after services are rendered. Always talk/discuss/negotiate what services you want and what price you are willing to pay. Always remember that it's Asia (Thailand) and negotiating is common, as these women will tend to start a little high. Ex. 2,000 Baht or more, but can be negotiated to well under 1,500 if you know the game and are decent looking.
Great advice but most newbies won’t follow it on their 1st trip as it’s very overwhelming the 1st time. It takes most a few times before they get it and become disciplined to your advice. As for the girls I’m 53 and prefer ladies in their 30’s to early 40’s plenty of lookers in that age range.

Some bars and bargirls are really worth the lady drinks even without taking them out, f.e. some bars on Soi Diamond. If you want to have a good sleep alone start with Soi 6 or a GC in the late afternoon, then move to a few bars on Soi 7 or Soi Buakhao or Soi Pothole and then end on Walking Street or Soi Diamond. After such a day you might need some sleep alone 😂

Ive certainly been swarmed several times. It's annoying. Now my biggest issue is going into a bar where I have spent time with multiple girls. As far as them solely being after the money, they are human, so treat them kindly and with grace. There are some girls here who I think are genuinely happy to see me. Prices do change in the year, More customers Nov to April in Hi Season, so they try to get more. Best value is mid Lo Season about Aug and Sept.

It may be wise to do the go go circuit your last two or three nights. Many a mate of mine have blown most of their wad (financial and! Other ;-)) the first few nights by going too hard on the go go train. It's a rip OFF...Also Bros...dont pay more than 3k for LT. 2...even 1 is possible.... indy chicks fill every corner of the city. The go go niners will "go" for LT for 4 if they do like you. The gist is: the less we all insist on paying...the less they make us pay. The customer should determine the market I say.

It is because the malls over there usually don't contain a certain violent subset of the population and if they do they never get out of line because the Thais refuse to tolerate any of their BS. Who said I told her "rudely to go away"? I was 25 yo when I visited Thailand for the first time in 1987...Again I can speak, read and write Thai, somewhat. I've a plenty of Thai friends. I can therefore say that Thai culture is not totally unknown to me.
But like everyone else, Thais are individuals who can each react in their own way, even if they ultimately share the same culture.
I have friends who POLITELY refused the invitation of two girls who wanted to sit at their table, and the girls took it very badly.

Age is a weird one, I got into really good shape and paid alot more attention to my health and appearance and had a very different experience, even if I had become nearly a decade older, lets be honest: most guys in Pattaya are not doing themselves any favors, its just alot easier for a young guy to get away with it.
Even with the 35+ women the service one gets is totally different based on physique, how you dress, where you live etc, women are women.

They only have 1 room at the very end with a big ocean view that my wife likes. The fact the A/C cuts off when you leave the room is crazy though?
