As someone who grew up on the supercars of the late 80s and early 90s, and a huge motorsport fan, I have to say this is one of the most exciting and interesting cars to come out since the time of the McLaren F1 and F50. Great to see an entirely new company come up with something like this out of a passion for cars and racing and be successful.
You cannot help but be impressed by their efforts and warmed by their personal stories. It's a rare opportunity to have more than 5 minutes of engaging interview time, so thanks for creating this.
What a gorgeous car... I love how much attention to detail they put into the design elements. As an artist myself, I can really appreciate the stellar design of this thing.
This is one of the nicest stories of father and sons I have ever watched, I am the same age and done the same things (RC planes, Motorised bicycles, just hooked on engineering) these guys have took Dads engineering skills and with passion and hard work made a machine which is awesome(not a word I use a lot) hopefully in 2070 youtubers like you and I will look at this and think these guys were just like the Wright Brothers....Had a vision, and made it reality.Good Luck Guys.
I don't see how you could ever improve on this car. It is perfection. As someone who loves motorcycle racing, sci-fi and cars, it looks like a CBR-600 mated with an f1 car in the mass effect universe. I hope this style and type of car never goes away, and that these guys are extremely proud of their achievement.
This is a fantastic film XCar. I love the Mono but knew little of its 'story', and nothing of these lads. Two brothers with an amazing Dad, all with a love of and passion for cars and building things, create what I believe is an iconic jewel in the motoring world. Chapmanesque in its execution and fulfilling a style that the greatest auto designers must envy. Thank you for giving us this film of more than 10 min length and showing the heart and head that went into this gem shine through.
STILL STUNNING. I'm 43 and still have never bought a new car, indeed would've told you a few years ago it'd be likely I never would do. What I can tell you today however, unless market forces go crazy and the boys here start venturing their pricing into total ridiculous-land just because everyone else is and therefore perceived value requires they keep pace, is that my first new car is going to be a BAC MONO.This film was great and tip of the hat to Xcar as well for another British product actually making good on the promise of new technologies.
This was amazing, thank you guys! I really like what those brothers have done and really hope BAC keeps getting bigger and more successful. Does anyone know how many cars they've sold?
Not only an example of passion in design, as much as a fathers love shared with his sons.. the Briggs brothers lives were clearly influenced by the love of motorsports their father had, along with his love for them. Love is the answer people.! Also what an awesome car.
"Why is this car faster than that car?" I've experienced the same thing, asked the same question to my dad once, except it was a Skyline vs an NSX in a drag race.
excellent video thank you. Ive watched it since you published it and i dont know how many times ive watched this but figure it's time i say thanks haha. Ayrton Senna ftw!
Damn, what a great car after so much time. I hope Neil and Ian dont get pissed if my firts working prototype for a bespoke, road legal single seater is designed as the BAC Mono. Cuz I will try my best to make it as similar as possible. They really got to taste automotive design perfection with the Mono.
When I first saw this car I didnt really think much of it. It was kind of just a "meh" feeling about it. But now I realize that this car is all about the drive, and I want one so badly. I just wish that I could afford it, and that it would come with an H pattern gearbox
This is by far my favourite video from you. Very informative and with insight to fascinating topics. Some of your videos appears to me as some desperate advertisment in comparison. Sorry for the criticism, but I was getting bored with your channel and now it's nice to see some variety to it.
i'm building something similar.. never had a dad & my brother doesn't even know what torque is & not even remotely interested in my build 😂 i'm -jealous- envious lol 👍

It's because of people like that we have special things in our lives!
a life driven by passion...absolutely awesome
That POV shot from 0:46 onwards is amazing!
Congrats XCAR, this is probably the best interview you've done yet. Those 2 are amazing.
What a gorgeous car... I love how much attention to detail they put into the design elements. As an artist myself, I can really appreciate the stellar design of this thing.
Dad taught us to do it right! Thanks Pops! Yer boys are rockin' this World.

This video motivates me to push for what I want in life!

Wonderful video! Love the passion!

Thank you for this great video. Very inspiring, educational and entertaining. No doubt the Mono will be a great succes and it is completely deserved.
I love how instead of form following function or function following form they did form is function.

Top notch video. Incredible story. The dedication is amazing.
Really nice video, could listen to them for ages. Part of me just wants to hear them say "You know nothing, Jon Snow" though.
Another great interview. Lovely chaps!!
Truly inspiring - great video XCAR!!!
what a great story of these guys!... and the result is that amazing car. Well done!
At 3:26 the carbon body panels look like a starfighter from star wars.
+Braeden Hamson There are no carbon body panels at 3:26.
+Artem Golubenko 4:26
Wow guys... this is autmotive passion at its best. Thank you.
You are a great team with lots of talent.

Great story, cool car.
The bare chassis at the beginning....triangulation, so sexy.
Shear Brilliance . I wonder if they'll take a debit card ?
If I could afford it (and you could register it in Australia) I would buy your car.
Great thanks a lot.
And I love the Mono ;D
awesome video !!!
I will someday own a Mono!
You have it yet?
@@chromolitho Nope, I am very v=far away... but working on it.
WoW, what an amazing origin story.
It's one of the cars I've wanted since laying my eyes on it.
These guys get it. Finally.
These guys had the greatest dad!😁

But, does it feel, run and go - and for how much. Service program?
What Uni degree could they have got to set up something like BAC ?
Where to buy this car?
It's not fair, Australia misses out on so many great cars. :( mostly fun ones (This, Ariel Atom, KTM Crossbow etc)
NICE CAR :D
Wait, no monocoque construction?
*WHY?*
What a great car.
These cars are soooo nice! I'd better get saving. lol
i think most of the super cars should be build this way. Single seat, under 500kg, RWD and engine in the middle.
nicee
i'm building something similar..
never had a dad & my brother doesn't even know what torque is & not even remotely interested in my build 😂 i'm -jealous- envious lol 👍
it does make u believe that we humans are blessed ..not by god..but by ourselves!!
made in liverpool
fore you jalo
Is this street Legal ?
yep
now they just have to make a 2 seater to rival lotus
If they do, its form should be like a fighter jet where the pilots sit in a line.
that would be pretty sweet!
Autobots................Transform!
Not a lambo or a ferrari, this is what you get if yoh TRULY care about pure, unadulterated driving pleasure
x
Mmmmmmmm...if I win the lottery the I rest thing I'm gonna do is buy one of these and throw a 26b in it....
first!
Sadly if they want to be on the supercar market, they need another seat. Supercars is (among other things) about sharing the experience.
meh..... overpriced go kart
