Fox Shows only big catfish in the us is the blue catfish. And they aren't even that common. Most people catch catfish that average only 2-8lbs

Why do Americans had to fillet all the fish until it's boneless? Catfish best grilled as whole, just have to gut it and clean it's skin from slime.

Im planning on starting my own youtube channel soon were i go into the wilderness over hear in Australia in search of anything awesome, deadly, rare, cute, creepy or just plain weirded. So pretty much anything i can find. Species i plan to feature on the channel will include blue ringed octopus, stone fish, sea turtles, goanas, death-adders, mulga snakes, rock walabys, osprey and lets not forget about the four amazing shark videos i have planned. And don't worry. Very few people die from these creatures( or at least not as many as car crashes, horse riding acidents or being sung by European honey bees.) Any tips in wildlife presentation/filmmaking?

Miller Wilson thanks mate for the reply. I think what i will likely do is crouch down next to them ( say around 2 feet) or follow and talk about them). But with pretty much every animal that isn't protected i will try to handle. I will also hopefully go out with dpaw ( department of parks and wildlife) to find some of the creatures. My first video will be about the perentie and my second about swimming with critically endangered sea turtles ( all the income from the latter will be donated to sea turtle conservation) after that i have some big things planned which i don't want to give away. In the U.S. we have a fork tailed catfish species called a channel cat. Almost identical .
In fact, yours was so similar, I'm not convinced you didn't catch an invasive channel cat

You need to skin them, the skin is full of bacteria. Also catfish also eat catfish because I have caught big fork tails on 3 inch long catfish fillets or steaks.

For catfish that size, you don't even need to fillet. Just cut off head, cut out guts, and pull the skin off. They're delicious fried whole

for filleting the catfish. get some pliers, scissors, and a hammer. First of all, hit the catfish on the head with the hammer until its dead, then cut around the head bone, and around the dorsal fin. from there, you pull the skin off with the pliers and POW. MEAT

If you catch catfish again neck it straight away and clean slime off . Put coconut milk a tea spoon of vinegar pepper salt garlic ginger and chilly mix well put in a heated pan along with Skinned fillets cook till thickens then simmer until your happy with constancy serve with Jasmine rice
