I fixed this by changing the power supply plug. It was still sourcing 12V but for some reason when plugged into the system it drops a lot, so changed the charger. This fixed the issue.
I'm a cctv engineer and that sounds like the record settings are wrong. The drive should overwrite when full. So you loose the oldest recordings . Meaning you always have 3 weeks of record (or whatever the drive holds depending on size). If it's not set to that it will beep again when full.

I have a Swann DVR8-4680 - (Out of warranty) - it keep showing a "Auto Adjust" blue box - going blank screen and repeat - NON STOP- How the hell do you fix that problem - i CANNOT stop it so system now USLESS !
The install wizard came on for 10 seconds then the screen went blank. The power light is still on but cant get any picture on tv via HDMI 1,2 or even tried VGA lead. No picture at all but power light and DVR light are still on. Cheap piece of crap

I bought a new power supply, but was still the same.
Changed the power supply for the DVR with the one for the cameras and that has cured my issue.
That was really useful. The beeping was driving my bonkers. Thank you so much.

Same problem, opened the hard drive to check if the arm was stuck but it wasn't and not getting anything on the screen.

@@ayndes2160 the same here took it to hawkeyes cctv they checked it on there power supply and that was the problem £15 good has new

Try a new power adapter, changed mine all now working, second time I’ve done this in 5 years!
