Thanks so much. I didn't install this myself and didn't know the camera has it's own plug. Everything went down and I lost the video you just showed me what was wrong. I coudn't figure out where the extra adaptor came from. Got my video back thanks so much...
we cannot seem to get it connected to the app . Its saying failed to verify credentials,what would the problem be?

Okay. For anyone having this issue, here's the solution.. tag the cameras and both ends of the corresponding cord. (Put a tag number on camera 1 and tag both ends of the cord you've assigned to it also with a #1.) I used tape. Next put an underline under the tag number at the end of the cord that will be plugged into the splitter near the DVR. This will be the red connector with a male end. After you tag all the cameras and both ends of all the cords it will help you for the initial set up and also for later if you should disconnect them and have to reconnect them. This is my second time to have this system. I made it easy this time. 👍

You have connected to all the DVR, I want to know where does the blue Ethernet port wire go from there? My router only has one connection point (blue) but does have the same connections in yellow. Can I use this instead seeing that I cannot remove the existing cable??? Thanks.
Hi. Great intro for Swann. I have an older version, was working then screen went black. 2 x screens with this message “input -d” … we had bought new cable but same msg on both screens. What do you think it could be?
Finally I found out the power set up...Try it using 1- 12v. adapter insted of two. Ezviz did not tell me it takes 2. THANX ! looked everyware..
Hi . Great vid. Question . Are the bnc cables waterproof if they are outside . I would need to run all cables outside then drill a hole in my living room for all cables to come in .
No BNC cables aren't waterproof if they are outside ??????

I know this is about another system but are these cables the same for a Swann 4k system and do you have to connect it to the internet ?
I just got a swann system. Do you know if Vivint security system is compatible to this? Maybe use same wiring from Vivint cameras?

If your tv has HDMI input you can use that.

Can someone please answer me this... after the unplug the cameras do they still record or still work & if it does how long does it record for
they will still record to your hard drive but because you have disconnected cameras they won't be no signal picture it will record blank

Can you hook different types of Swann cameras like I have a swann Sercurty in a box and the cameras are black I ordered new cameras that are white and different shape and the models are Totally different and do t seem to connect am I doing something wrong or are the non Compatible
You can use different cameras but they need to be compatible. There is a compatible list you can check it out. Just Google Swann camera compatibility and you will see it.

Milagros Colon-Serrano no you dont need the internet unless you want to view the cameras when out and about. Having the internet makes things easier.
Why does my monitor goes dark at night or 7:00pm?
I just bought a swann nvr it's way more easier to setup all I need to do is plug in a ethernet cable to the camera.
Hi there, great video. I have the exact same system. Unfortunately not a tech-guy so I'm running into a small problem.
I heard that I cannot set any of the cameras up and watch footage in "live view." I was told I'm only able to play back the footage when I want to see it.
But how about if somebody is knocking on my front door, and I want to view it "live" to see who's at my front door? Am I not able to do that?
Also, in order to get the setup wizard for my system, I need to download the program on my computer correct?
Hope to get an answer from someone.

that could be a power drop from your cameras buddy No Signal also check your BNC wiring & then your splitter cables buy a new splitter power pack

Anyone know how to get the manual.. Been on the Swann site and won't let my download te manual. I Highlighted to constant record and now don't know remember how to put it back to motion. Guy installed it for me and getting ticked off. I need the bill to register the warranty info on line. Some reason doesn't want me to have the bill . I was going to add on more cameras but about to dump him if I have to get someone out to visit. Do you have a video how to highlight and the recording setting? Motion and constant record shutting off when you want. Thanks

You dont need an internet connection. If the Wi-Fi connect to the same network it still works. Otherwise if your neighbors Wi-Fi has an internet connection it will works too.

This is why I don't like some of Swann videos, because the uploaders are switching the comments off. So, they get a thumb down (dislike👎) and no way I will subscribe to these waste-of-time characters. What if I want to ask a question, a question such as why the on-screen keyboard is different to my Swann Professional Series NVR keyboard? So, I have to search for other Swann videos with open comments. Why they shut the comments on their video I am yet to find out. What are they afraid of. I mean, if they want to upload a video about a security system and then they switch comments off, why bother posting the video? No wonder I don't touch the 'Like'👍 thumbnail, more the dislike thumbnail when some video piss me off 😡👎
if you use VGA for 1080p you will get a crap recording picture quality will not be good
so if you use HDMI into DVR & then into tv you will get 100% better picture quality Digtial instead of Analog

For the DVR, you need to buy an external mic.
who knows why I can see the camera on my smart phone android 5.0 and I can't see on my tablet Samsung 5.1.1 , I download the same application , the same id , user name , same pw …..I use the same wi fi ……..only once worked for few second from different wifi why doesn't work ? Is problem of speed of internet ? I have 10 mb . I call the Swann technical supporter , I did the same question , from Swann teleoperator he could see my camera my place , it is on line …..he reccomend to look the app better tester qyu4r , I didn't find it . I hope someone can help me to resolve my problem , Thank you

Full of flaws.
Full of blur problems and you need a magnifying glass to see the mouse cursor on the screen.
Their customer support is a joke to, yougive them your phone number all the time and one still goes the repetative process of having totell them your model number etc etc etc.
They have caused me alot of stress with their model DVR8-4780.
You can change the screen resolution inside settings to make the picture bigger and you can see better. With blur issue have you check the cable connected properly.
I had 2 HARD DRIVES, “CRASH” within one year of installation. It was not on this particular hard drive, but it was a Swann Home security product. Beware, read the reviews! For me... money wasted.
Buy a Seagate Skyhawk hardrive
