Seun, I am glad you are learning to embrace your journey even through the uncertainty. Your relationship is growing with God. When we don’t have all the answers, it doesn’t make sense, but we let God guide and lead us, he will align things for us. I have learned in those situations that “ask and you shall receive” works. I make it a purpose in those times to ask God for discernment and for signs that I am headed in the right direction. It’s definitely about faith and trust. I too questioned if this was my purpose. I was willing to give up something I love so much in order to make sure I was following God’s will in my life. I can humbly say that after praying, I had so many patients thank me for my work and literally tell me I “was born to do this.” It was all confirmation from God in my eyes. They wouldn’t have ever known those intimate details, that I was questioning myself, and willing to walk away from something I truly have a passion for. God’s timing is everything and everyone’s journey is different. Our experiences makes our faith, bond, and trust grow more with our creator. The more I learn in the medical field, I realize he is everywhere.

Lately I have been worrying so much about people trying to understand me when in reality, God truly knows how I feel in every perspective! This really encouraged me to keep going and not give up! I'm so glad the Lord led you to take a year off! It really shows that we just need to surrender our plans to Him and allow God to be in charge, just like it says in Proverbs 19:21, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails". We have to remeber Jesus Himself was hated and misunderstood by many, and when we just objectively examine his actions and words He didn’t do or say anything wrong. It was lack of understanding that that fueled the animosity towards Him during his ministry. So I try to tell myself that. That even Jesus (son of God) had people who didn’t understand Him, how much more me?
@@SeunSpeaks Wow that’s really true! I did not consider that at all! No wonder He is great at understanding us and being our Advocate, that He is for us and not against us! It really helps to remember that Jesus was misunderstood and as you said, not everyone will understand so I shouldn’t stress myself to try to get everyone to understand!

Do you follow MD PHD and Me? I believe she took a year off from her program at Stanford Medical schools, so you have to do what works for you.
