350 isn't small, 700 is big.😁 I ride a little 250 Timberwolf and love it. It climbs all the hills and hits the mud like a champ. Let's see you build that Warrior back up to nice condition! 👍👍
I cannot believe it Can you make that thing become the first 500 horsepower Yamaha ATV I recommend installing a ignition cut from the seat so if you come off it you don’t have to go chasing it down the field Damn it would be funny if it did run away and you are not on it or you can’t shut it off over some strange mysterious issue! Just avoid that Ike at all costs none of you want to be chasing a ATV across a 5 mile field or something else going terribly wrong
Charles is a lot smarter than he puts off. He asks them if he is using the right words, steers them into ideas so they can feel good about the idea, and he dosen't want to take credit. He seems like he doesn't want to come off as pretentious which also means that he is socially aware... maybe I'm blowing smoke because I don't really know lol. Anyways, good addition to the channel. I'm coming back after a couple of years.
I bought one of those brand new back in 1989. I had so much fun with it. In 1989 I believe I paid around $3,500 or in that area. It was one of the few sport quads that had a reverse gear at the time. Now you need to find yourself a Banshee!
Yep, I started with a Warrior then moved to a Banshee. Whole new world of power. Loved the strong low end of the Warrior but the Banshee’s top end was addicting. Both great iconic quads that any quad enthusiast should get some seat time on. There both just great.
Good to see another quad on the channel! I have an idea for your Grand Prix, you could add a short cut to the track that would maybe cut a corner. But if you take this short cut, you have to either deal with a small dirt jump, or a mud hole, or both, which adds risk to the short cut. You couldn’t use it for time trials, but if you guys ever race head to head, it would make passing more interesting! Great video gentlemen!
Great idea°°• I love it guys for a head to head race. But for safety sakes, only 1 going through at a time.If a jump is in the mix,it should be before getting back on to the regular track, mud hole just before the track....jus sayn.
I've had a 95 warrior since about 99. With minimal maintenance, it just keeps going. Great all around bike. Made a ski kit for the front and put some sand tires on the back, she even rips surprisingly good in the snow!
You guys having that new work shop brings the old vibes of when u guys worked at your parents garage but with more amazing builds it's so nice to see u guys grow love the videos keep it up 💯💯
We have a 87 worrior... they are strong trail machines great gear ratio for trails. Good power.. we put extended a arms and rear spacers makes a huge difference on control
I owned a '98 Warrior. It was one of the best 4wheelers I've ever ridden. They are great in the hills, being a four-stroke, you can lug them around or ride them full out. I decided on one of these instead of a Banshee because the Banshee doesn't like to go slow or be lugged. This brings back great memories.
The power of hydraulics never ceases to amaze me. Gotta love those tricks. Especially when they end up working out. It's like using bubblegum to seal hydraulic fittings. I've seen it hold 5000psi once on a sheepfoot roller. To say I was impressed was an understatement. Continue the good work guys!
I love my warrior. Reliable, quick, tons of torque, the only thing that would make it better is a taller seat. I love the electric start with pull start backup too, mines a 96 but apparently there was a mod to add the original warrior pull start to the newer generation It was awesome to see the transformation on this thing!
I took my seat to an auto and boat upholstery shop and had the guy raise the foam about 1.5-2”. Turned out amazing and looks factory. Really helped with my sore knees and back I’d have after riding.
you can tell Charls is from the school of "Just Freakin' Send It", the quad sounds good guys, cant wait to see what y'all do in the future as charles said "i cant wait untill you can trust it"
My dad bought a warrior brand new in 87, which is the first year that these came out. He passed it down to me and, one engine rebuild later, it's still strong as ever.
I'm happy to see you guys decided to save it instead of cutting it up for parts. Also, don't listen to the negative people who say the Warrior's are slow. Not every quad needs to keep pace with a Banshee. Especially a bike like this that can sneak in and out of trees better than a faster machine can. You don't need to do a buck-20 to have fun. I used to have a Blaster in my later years of high school and it was a great little quad. I've been wanting to get my hands on another one for the longest time just for ripping around the trails. Your Warrior in its' current physical condition would most likely be going for about $1,200.00 in my area. I've seen them going for about $2,500 - $3,000.00 in mint condition especially now with the sudden demand for atv's due to the lock-downs. People who have never looked at an atv before have gotten into riding them as a means for getting out of their houses. Which is nice, more atv riders the better as far as I'm concerned. :)
I knew this thing would run good. The dg pipe is a great aftermarket pipe usally found on the atcs you guys have. That quad should rip pretty good sounds nice and healthy. Also fyi. 700s are fuel injected
Theres 2 things I remember from my warrior. The extremely heavy clutch, and the vibrations. The thing would hum so violently in the mid to high range that my hands would swell within 15 to 20 minutes. This is coming from someone who commutes on an XR650L dual sport and spends hours with a 400ex pegged out at the dunes
Hoping to get the Warrior I’ve been working on up and running this weekend! Fingers crossed all that’s left to do is clean the carb and some fresh gas!

Awesome save, guys! I'm looking forward to seeing that thing go flat out once you've got it all fixed up, and a showdown vs. the Yard Dart will be awesome!
I’ve got an idea that I would have done by now if I had the equipment😂 Take a old engine from a bike/4 wheeler, remove all of the engine components as well as the trans side cover. Cut out a metal plate, bolt it down with a gasket where the cylinder barrels used to be. Here’s the trickiest part, you need an engine that doesn’t have any parts sticking out past the mating surface on the crankcase since you’re going to need a thick piece of metal that bolts down flush to the crankcase. But first, machine a hole into that plate that is perfectly aligned with the existing crank bearing for the custom shaft to go into. The shaft has to be sealed just like a predator 212, may have to get a bearing and oil seal custom made. Also, the crankshaft that was taken out of it most likely had a drive gear instead of the clutch drive so it has to be pressed on that input shaft. May have to ensure that the trans operating temps aren’t high. Just kidding it’ll be fine, right? Lastly, install a sprocket on the custom input shaft and one on the crankshaft of a honda clone “or whatever you want” put on both chains and i believe that’s it. I’ve only seen one of these in person at a antique engine show. Apparently it came off a 2 stroke dirt bike and he paired it with a older briggs. I’ve only been able to find 2 videos on youtube of guys showing how they made theirs. If there’s anybody that can make one it’s definitely cars and cameras, because anybody can slap a lifan 200 on their kart or mini bike, and nobody makes a stand alone transmission besides harley-davidson, but they’re very expensive:( If y’all end up making one, surely someone with the right facilities will watch it and begin making them? Who knows. I’d love to see y’all make one and it’d be a one of a kind
John remove the baffle from the "Dollar General" and wrap in with a real dense packing material that will take away most of the noise without any restriction or loss of power. I would also like to say I have been watching you guys for a couple years now, and the quality of work you guys do is for the most part outstanding. The only thing I see that you need is a engine tuner because some of your projects leave a lot of power on the table. Kudos to you guys for all your great content!!!
Once you get your tires fixed try something out. Install your rear wheels on flipped inside out an you will gain a wider stance. You can do the front the same way but you have to remove the factory valve stem and install a new (stubby) in the hole BACKWARDS! on the other side of the rim.. 6 o'clock from the original stem.. if you don't it won't clear the caliper. drill a half inch hole an install another new valve stem correctly so you can fill your tires. I have done this more than once and it will drastically change your turning stability! Don't forget to cap the backwards valve stem so you won't loose air pressure. Trust me. If you getting new tires do this at that point and you will not regret it! That machine will act like a whole different wild animal that will handle so much better! Luv the channel. Good buy on the yammerhammer. Keep on trucking guys!

First time dropping a comment since becoming a subscriber, so I hope you guys do more ATV content. Can't wait to see this beast completed and I'm sure this will be the grand prix top dog.
DG is a good brand, Charles. That one looks wide open and you can buy round plates that bolt over the end of the pipe to guiet it down if you want. Just google it. The warrior is a beast. I had a Honda 250X and i had to race a warrior once and I couldn't hang with him so i got second place!
Had a 1990 over 10 years ago that I traded for a 97 banshee plus $500. Last fall I picked up a 2003 warrior. They are bullet proof for sure. Great all around quad.
Dude i wish i could come rip that around the cars and cameras grand prix. I swear id put an incredible time up on the board! My old 01' yamaha warrior got stolen a few years back. Keep up the good work guys!
I have this exact bike. I need a rear shock and put the exhaust back to together. Been sitting for like over 5 years now. These are awesome. I love them so much. I Need to get mine running. Watching y'all ride this one makes me nostalgic.
Those wires on the clutch lever can be bypassed by splicing them and then tie them together. Great quad an a steal for 50! Sounds like it’s running good!
Front and rear tires, and brakes.2" wheel spacers for the front,so it's more stable, and you'll be in the top 5.Plus you'll have a great machine for all the Meets, and work about the property.
Nice Grab ! My thoughts on the master cylinder is, the piston is traveling too far, with no disc in the caliper and worn out pads. Just my 2 cents. Enjoy it :-)
I was skeptical if I’d still enjoy your content with the new shop bc I love backyard projects. But seeing stuff like this keeps me coming back for more! It’s awesome to see you guys growing!
I'm glad it sounds like you are going to keep it together now. I understand your first thoughts, but I'm glad it looks like it is going to work out to keep it together.
John , This is a very asteticly pleasing piece of machinery 😳 I love design and engineering and I believe you also shear this love with all one point three 🤪👍 " MILLION ' Subscribers !!!! I don't want to sound silly as I had visions of your new quad bike with a cars and camera touch , Mainly the seat . I was studying the bike in the footage and Charles was sitting very low because of the lack of a new seat . This is when I thought about a slim ,low seat like you have made so many times. I could honestly see the positive side of having a slim seat . The bike was drifting at times and it really caught my attention . Just the way I thought , 🙄 I've been told I shouldn't think too much 😊. I could just see that new L.E.D headlight and those special touches that you all " NAIL " every time . Great content guys ,. God bless you and your loved ones .🥺 ✨✨
i love scrap yard quads. my old boss years ago had a 250 Zuki that i got to run, i blasted around on that during lunch break for a long time before the transmission broke.
I've seen someone use the grease fitting method to clear a squib where a bullet was stuck in their rifle barrel and they couldn't get it out with a rod without destroying the rifling. When that sucker broke loose it was insanity of grease and a bullet flying thru the shop.
Dont worry too much John. Riding a quad without goofing up like Ike did is just another skill set like anything else. Ease into it. It’s all about the leaning and getting a good feel for the traction, whether you’re trying to keep traction or break traction at any given point. So many people think you just sit on it like a toilet and steer it wherever but that’s no good. You need to be actively shifting your weight left and right, even forward and backward constantly as turning radius and speed and terrain changes. And in some cases leaning a lot further than you’d think. Just like sport bikes, cars, airplanes, etc… to gain maneuverability you give up some stability, often in the form of shorter wheelbases, higher center of gravity, etc… you’ll find that raising your body up high, raising the center of gravity even further is desirable in some instances to get a tire or two off the ground and turn super tight or hop a downed tree or something. So there’s a reason for the higher CG. It’s obviously not a high speed cornering machine. It’ll be right at home in wooded trails though. Like anything else, hard cornering at high speeds means less tolerance of mistakes made, so slow before turning and accelerate through. Last second unplanned direction changes at high speeds and panic-braking in a turn are a big no-no just like with any other vehicle. Ease into it, but not so much that it gets boring :-)
I was laughing with the Dollar General comment. Brief history about DG Performance, Gary Harlow and Dan Hangsleven started the company in the seventies when Honda released the Elsenore. DG is still in business today, 39 years, and located in Anaheim, Ca. they now focus mainly on performance for ATV. Many years ago they had machine service, I had head work done for my RZ350 that was running their performance exhaust.
I had a 87 year model. Had the pull start option. I'm a smaller guy but changed sprockets around and In 6th gear mine would pull 65 to 70 mph. Boy she would scoot for the age
I love watching you guys, gives me inspiration coz I would like a good quad to drag wood out for my old parents fire. But where I live in the UK it is almost impossible to do unless you are a farmer.
I bought an 87 that someone tried to put a Chinese 5 speed ATV motor in. Took that put it on a dirt track kart. I am now finishing up a swap in the warrior. 89 Yamaha xt600 in the warrior.
I had two of the warriors years ago.Bought one brand new and someone stole it . Still have the title as a memory change front sprocket one tooth smaller and pipe and jet it make a tough machine to beat in the woods.
I enjoyed the 4 wheeler build. I'd like to see more of these rebuilds. Plus you guys just took a 50 dollar 4 wheeler and with a little bit of doctoring, if you guys were to sell it, you'd get way more than 50 for it. I actually think you could get well over a 1000 for it. Especially as smooth as it runs. Starter sounds good, motor sounds good, trans and clutch seems to be just fine. A little tweaking on breaks, wiring and the gas on and off which I would just bypass the old one and rig a new one and you've got a diamond in the rough. Hey if you guys want to let it go for a decent price, let me know. I'd be glad to take it off your hands and take it with pleasure. Great work guys. I've got my Sportsman for mudding but I really want something like this just to play around with in light sand and clay and very light mud. Plus I miss my manual drive 4 wheelers. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the automatic trans but it's just not the same as the old schools.
I have a raptor 350, the newer version of the warrior. Those things are exactly as you said, you can go all out in all 6 gears. I’d love to send some trails with y’all some day.
John and Isaacs! Charles to. Keep the warrior they are good machines if well maintained. I would love to see everything be out back to factory and make it a nice quad all the way around! Totally would be worth it
DG is a performance exhaust brand pretty high price actually they usually make older models exhaust I have an 1984 Yamaha it 200 in I got an exhaust system for it ran me a lot but that’s what it is if y’all where wondering
If you keep the rear tires @ say 5 to 8 lbs you can do wheelies with out standing on the rear bar plus even with that multi plug front tire it has low air pressure even if it went flat as long as you keep the speed up the tire will expand centrifugally
You gotta luv old 50 quidders most of the motorbikes of my youth where real cheap think i paid 50 for old ty175s and stuff like that in the 80s love yer channel great content fellas 🤘
Glad to see you guys got it running and yes there a ton of fun like this other guy commented there basically bullet proof engines and there fast and they have reverse and 5 gears of torque.put couple bucks in it and keep it the way it is and just have fun with it they deserve to stay running and they don't ride too bad either there pretty comfortable actually to ride..There kinda hard to find here running good id buy that thing in a second..git some headlights too..👍
Charles does not know what DG stands for? DG Performance! Getting Ahead Is No Longer A Pipe Dream! I grew up not far from where these pipes are manufactured, and I always thought DG stood for Doug Gurney, but can't seem to prove that. While doing the research I did discover they make 4 different "quiet core inserts" which your neighbors would like you to look into. (Okay, I made the neighbor part up.)
Yes put it up against Yard Dart ! More of anything guys is awesome! By the way , maybe John, an episode with your C10 , tell us what all has been done to it

First time dropping a comment since becoming a subscriber, so I hope you guys do more ATV content. Can't wait to see this beast completed and I'm sure this will be the grand prix top dog.
My first quad was a warrior. Awesome machines.
DG is a good brand, Charles. That one looks wide open and you can buy round plates that bolt over the end of the pipe to guiet it down if you want. Just google it. The warrior is a beast. I had a Honda 250X and i had to race a warrior once and I couldn't hang with him so i got second place!
I've got an '87 & '99. And they are still great quads! You will totally enjoy it!
Great to see another quad project. A full build on this in the future would be fun.
I'll be honest. I'm scared at the amount of work that takes place near John's truck. That truck needs it's own space
I think Ike knows all the tricks n tips....love u guys🤘🤙👌🤜🤛
Here's a little Eugene's back yard repair tip. Hot glue works great on holes in the air box and two might run very lean without it
i love scrap yard quads. my old boss years ago had a 250 Zuki that i got to run, i blasted around on that during lunch break for a long time before the transmission broke.
Awesome trick with the grease gun! They are also used to tighten trencher chains, so a caliper or master cylinder is child's play!!!
Charles was the BEEST INVESTMENT for "Car's and Camera's"!
Charles has always been around.
Love it going to watch you guys for life💯😎y’all boosted my opportunity and mindset to do what y’all do in life I love it😎
the 350 warrior runs the same sprockets as the 660 raptor does .. i have a 96 warrior and its a fun trail toy for sure
“Hellz Yeah DG Performance Exhaust Are Definitely Really Good I Love Em I Run That Exhaust On Both of My 4wheelers”
I've seen someone use the grease fitting method to clear a squib where a bullet was stuck in their rifle barrel and they couldn't get it out with a rod without destroying the rifling. When that sucker broke loose it was insanity of grease and a bullet flying thru the shop.
Love to see an actual quad on the channel, do a video redoing the plastics would love to see what u guys come up with
Man what a great deal you got. I’d pay 50 bucks for that any day
That tech tip is great. Same theory how you get crankshaft pilot bearings out.
I had a Suzuki 230s for a few years. Same deal with that, only 230cc's but surprisingly quick!
This one vs. the Yard Dart and the Murry Megawatt.
Whole new class of leaderboard.
I had a 87 year model. Had the pull start option. I'm a smaller guy but changed sprockets around and In 6th gear mine would pull 65 to 70 mph. Boy she would scoot for the age
Another great video guys. Unbelievable find John. This Old Man waiting to see how it does on the track. Love you guys. 🛵🧔💝💝💝
I have 3 or 4 different kind of automotive jack and none of them are better than a scissor jack and impact!!! Great job as always boys!
I love watching you guys, gives me inspiration coz I would like a good quad to drag wood out for my old parents fire. But where I live in the UK it is almost impossible to do unless you are a farmer.
Can't wait to see it all fixed up and ripping around the track. Should be interesting to see if it's actually the fastest hot lap yet.
miss my factory race honda 300ex that had a DG pipe on it and fully built that honda i had would do 80mph easy on dirt....good work guys
Ive been trying to get one started after sitting 3 years. Gonna try cleaning the carb next.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the automatic trans but it's just not the same as the old schools.
i have put an angle on the end of the muffler, like a macaroni so it shoots the sound down, helps allot with the sound
What started off as a parts bike has become the diamond in the rough, nice job boys!!
I have a raptor 350, the newer version of the warrior. Those things are exactly as you said, you can go all out in all 6 gears. I’d love to send some trails with y’all some day.
The best penetrating oil I have found and many different test with factory penetrants, acetone and transmission fluid is the best.
For sure after the button up on the 4 wheeler against the yard dart!!!
John and Isaacs! Charles to. Keep the warrior they are good machines if well maintained. I would love to see everything be out back to factory and make it a nice quad all the way around! Totally would be worth it
Hey, Charles, Ike, and John. This is James change your clutch cable should help with the stiff clutch lever
I just bought one for 300 and already had to dump 400$ extra in parts into it to get it to fire up I think you got a sweet deal at 50$ guys !
DG is a performance exhaust brand pretty high price actually they usually make older models exhaust I have an 1984 Yamaha it 200 in I got an exhaust system for it ran me a lot but that’s what it is if y’all where wondering
I miss my YZF350R the big brother to your warrior . Fun quads man your gonnalove it once it's all done .
Glad to see you guys got it running and yes there a ton of fun like this other guy commented there basically bullet proof engines and there fast and they have reverse and 5 gears of torque.put couple bucks in it and keep it the way it is and just have fun with it they deserve to stay running and they don't ride too bad either there pretty comfortable actually to ride..There kinda hard to find here running good id buy that thing in a second..git some headlights too..👍
I think you need two lists now. A top 5 for custom machines and top 5 for factory pre-built machines, such as this warrior.
By the way , maybe John, an episode with your C10 , tell us what all has been done to it
Engine on that thing is damned near bullet proof and based on the same platform as my 1980 SR250 exciter
Keep the valves adjusted and clean oil in it, you won't need another engine
I wish Ike and Charles could help rescue my 09 RZR800... NJ -> NC is a heck of a trip
Just slam those brake piston valves on the table on the end opposing the stuck piston......that usually frees them up
Man you scored a sweet deal. Wish I had your luck. That thing looks fun
Dg is just the brand of the exhaust they have been around since the early to mid 80s good pipes supper loud lol
Hell yeah man! You just need a seat, some headlights and maybe a little some tires, then you're set!
For future reference you can go to a part store and get a started solenoid for a 92-96 f150 and it’s the same as a lawn mower but way stronger
Anyone else watch that mouse jump out of the exhaust at 0:27 ?!? I watched it in slow mo 3 times to make sure I was seeing it right!
