Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Hector is going to be running three Spoon engines and on top of that, he just went into Harry’s and bought three T66 turbos with nos and a motec exhaust system
My 1st ride was a '93 Mazda MX-3. I had the same exact color (teal green) and had similar wheels to the Enkei with Altezza tail lights and let me tell you, those black tail lights goes well with that color so you guys are honestly reviving the '90s tuner life! 👍
I myself have a 94 eg sedan with a b18b1 swap I did with a friend in his driveway! Every single thing you guys have done to this civic minus the front lip is exactly what I want and aim to do to mine! I need to go through my suspension bushings and refurbished my ksport coil overs! I'm enjoying this series a little too much and I hope your new clutch issue is easy like adjusting the pedal. I've been there before
Man, this car is set up perfectly! Who doesn't love a nice classic Honda build? I absolutely love the nostalgia and more affordable/reasonable car builds.
I had bronze enkei 92s in 16x7 on my black 95 dx coupe b20b build I did in 05. Looked good next to my rosewood 92 accord coupe with its f22 turbo and it’s black bbs mesh. Miss those old Hondas well done guys. Keep it coming.
Im really loving this build! I recently picked up my own minty Civic sedan from Vancouver Island. MIne is a 98! mine will be getting a K20A from a 06 Euro R.
You guys are killing it! Ive been loving the Honda content as of late. I look forward to your uploads every Saturday morning like a kid watching the morning cartoons. Keep up the good work fellas. And DP, I appreciate your openess during the Better Help ad.
Man this thing's looking so good!! Great pitch for the sponsor. Love the vulnerability. Fluid film is one of my favorite fluids for working on cars as well as WD-40 for cleaning all my hand tools and shining anything up as well as brake clean for getting that grime!! It was a bittersweet day for me today as I sold my 1991 5 spd DB1. Was considering asking you guys if you wanted it haha. Another good candidate from here in BC
Loving the build. Everything looks pretty period except for the front lip but it still . looking good. For period correct for front lips it was usually either Erebuni, Wingswest, or even Stillen. I am loving the Konig Villians. This was my all time favorite wheel back in the 90s. Good job guys.

Painting drums was corny in the 90s too! :-) Love this time capsule build you went with- makes me feel really old but it brings me back to my high school days of building these cars when they were still relatively new. Wheels for a sedan with that style wing I’d go 16” TSW Hockenheim, Imola, or Evo. Get that touring car vibe.
My first set of wheels for 94 excel were enkie rpo-1 15 x 7. Hell yeah!!! I feel ya with the kiddo situation. We are kinda in the same, but different boat.
Love it! Period correct is badass! Also Dave that’s awesome you’re able to talk about that, hope you guys both have a happy holiday with your families!
I like that you guys are honest when shi$ don't go right. Not like the other guys who make task look so easy, but we all run into a few bumps on the road when building our projects. I hope you guys figure out the transmission issue. 🤘🚗
Swapping clusters brings back a fun memory. A friend had a similar Civic and we were trying to put a big tach in it. After trying for hours to get it to work we read on the forum it's as easy as a cluster swap.
Good choice on the Villains and Monte Carlo. I had some Villains back in '91 on my '91 EF sedan back when the import scene was just starting out. I still have an old Monte Carlo on my Forester. Love it and it doesn't get old.
My first wheels on my 91 accord were Konig Villains. Mine were 17x7.5 and came with a polished lip and center. They werent pictured as such when i ordered them. And i never saw another car with those wheels. My 91 accord was charcoal gray lowered on Neuspeed race springs with a supra wing on it. To top it off i had a yellow 6' long Neuspeed sticker across the hood and down the drivers fender. Where i live the SC scene was in its infancy at the time and my car was just wild. The first of its kind. People thought my car was fast as it had a fabricated exhaust and a Apex i 4" fart can on it. Eventually i upgraded to Tokico blues also.
@speedacademy I decided to do the same thing to my ek, instead of a k swap. I ordered the whole hybrid racing catalog for the GSR engine. I'm so excited! Old school VTEC yo!
Nice Civic build, definitely like how it turned out. There are many great 90s style wheels out there from different brands, and another set of wheels that I think could look good for future Honda/Acura builds could be ones like the 5zigen FN01R-C.
I really miss a lot from my GSR swap EH5 Civic, which I left back in my home country. If things go well for me here in Ontario I'll definitely going to import it here. Thank you for this series.
Sweet build! I personally prefer a more OE look body wise, but I understand what you guys are going for. The gauge cluster is out of a JDM EG6 or EG9 SiR. 8250 RPM redline on the JDM B16A2 (if manual transmission). Looking forward to seeing some driving content, or maybe at Cars and Coffee!
ya, the meter cluster should from a civic eg9 sir which got a b16a2 engine and the redline is around 8200. I'm from Malaysia, so glad to see ur videos caz i also own a civic eg sedan with the b16a2 engine with b16b head and planning to swap a b18cr in it.
The 16"s are by far the best. In the UK those wheels where called League Integral and were very common in the late 90's and early 2000's. If I'd that Honda on a lift, it looks like it needs a good wash underneath followed by a proper protection to persevere it.
Need integra/b series shift linkage, to fix that lockout. The only thing the sedan shares in common with the coupe is the rear bumper and trunk, thusly the lights as well. As for the front end, fenders, hood, bumper, core support etc, it all has to be sedan, the coupe and hatch parts will not fit without heavily modifying them as you found out with the corner lights. Yes its plug and play for the most part but the pinouts are a bit different for the ecu. Youre throwing codes 20 and 23 indicated by the flashes of the cel, code 20 is ELD and code 23 is false knock, youll have to repin those two components. If youre on Hondata, you can go into the settings disabling both, neither having a negative effect on the engine or tune itself
205/45/16 is the true proper size for classic Hondas and integra. That's what I run on my Accent, looks way better than 205/50/15. I might have to buy those wheels from you when you're done

thanks man, parenting is the hardest and most rewarding job ever, hope you're enjoying the journey.
It might just be because I'm a middle millennial, but a late '90s Honda tastefully modified looks amazing. Your build looks sharp!
DP, thanks for sharing your story! I am a father of a special needs kido also. Keep up the great work.

You can tell Pete is a real og in the tuner scene
And Dave used to race Hondas professionally.
I have a 1993 Civic Coupe Si with a B18C swap (JDM GSR). Owned since new. This series has been fun. Thanks!
Wings West body kits!!! Bro! That’s bringing back memories!!! Love this build! Bringing back the feels from my 1995 Civic EX coupe I had from 2001-04!
Period correct would be some 17 inch racing hart wheels
Motegi MR7
Nah… 17s were really rare back then. 16x7 Racing Hart Type C was a really sick set-up. Other than that it was all about 15x6.5 or 15x7s.
Pete bringing up his 1g Laser 😢😢 pleaseeeee do a DSM build, and or a Volvo 5 cylinder ❤❤❤❤
Nothing beats the sound of a Volvo 5 cylinder with exhaust. They should try a C30. Better yet, wagon, come on Pete!!
Konig Villans!!! Literally the very first wheels I ever bought for my Integra back in high school….. love it!
As someone with diagnosed MDD and GAD (depression/anxiety), I really, REALLY appreciate this shout out for mental health.
I will never forget those coilovers, they rattled ALL my fillings out in my Civic Si
Oem ex/si lip or c-west front lip. First molding lip don’t flow with the style of build. Very fun build you guys did!
Could have went with an OEM Honda wheel like an Si, or GSR blade. Would of had to steal them for it to be truly period correct 😜Love this content!
This is beyond true 😅
hey they still do those with new hondas
96 GSR wheels with the center cap removed! 😂
@@skyec8324sunflowers or blades would look nice with that color
I got gsr swirlies just waiting for tires
I had a 94 ex sedan late 2000s and this sure brings back memories. Loving it!
If that wing flies off when V-tec hits, its period correct

Keep them honda contents coming. 🙌
So many memories unlocked. Def the white wheels
working on the car while doing your ad read made that the easiest ad to sit through I've ever seen on TH-cam👍
Love this build! I think that the wing and lip are very fitting for the style you were going for.
Thanks better help for keeping these guys paid so I can live vicariously through these videos.
I had a set of Konig Villians in 16x7 painted white on my 99 Civic Si. A tuner classic!! Gorgeous build!!!
Im really loving this build! I recently picked up my own minty Civic sedan from Vancouver Island. MIne is a 98! mine will be getting a K20A from a 06 Euro R.
That eg is actually quite clean, genuinely have one of this.Used to have a beat up one and it was a blast to drive.
the teen me is screaming! if I had this back then with a b series too, dream car
Enjoying this build. My first car was a Plymouth Laser too.
15:28 If I recall the coupes and HB share hoods/fenders while the sedans had a different size.
Great builds. Love all the content. Thanks guys.

Agree 1000% Monte Carlo is also my all time favorite since my EF in the mid 90s even until 2024 haha

Finely one Honda civic eg sedan ! I have one eg9 vti I’m Portugal and I love it ! Good project! Front and back breaks some bars and be happy 😜😅
Love this car!! And the channel!!
The rear spoiler reminds me of the 90s BTCC cars. Probably the best era of BTCC.

i searched that model number and nothing came up. is that really what they are called? Im trying to find these wheels, please help!
@ lol. Read it again. Sayitaintso
Enkei's look the best by far
i agree. do you know what model they are? I cant find them.
This looks sweet, especially with the OEM lights. Hopefully not too stiff because I’d be seen in this everyday
