    I love waking up before everyone else. It really sets a good tone for the day.

      Haha...I won't say I love it, but it is good for my routine. :)

    I totally agree with you about just jumping in without an idea of what you want your day to look like, could end very badly… a basic framework is key!

    We have a flow and ours is very loose and we love it that way!!! This year we adopted another teen athlete that works with us!!! We started homeschooling one and ended up adopting him after what was happening and we ended up with a 2nd extra teenager!!! It’s worth it but it’s not been easy!!! My kids won’t make their beds and I don’t care!!! We sometimes start with Bible but it depends upon my teenagers schedules!!! We love TGTB nature readers!!! I’m Doing beginner German with the 2 adopted teenagers!!!

    Book ending your day with Family subjects sounds nice. 😊 I think the Mom morning routine is SUPER important to start the day off right! 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing!

    I love having time to myself in the morning. Right now it’s hard with the baby to wake up early but I really miss that. It’s such a good idea to give the kids a check off list!

      Babies definitely make that a challenge. ...and the checkoff list has worked great so far!

    Loved learning more about your routine! You’re right, all of the things we have to take care of during the day are so interconnected.

      Yes, it's so hard to completely section out one piece from the rest.

    New subscriber. Im in the collab too. Our routine isnt time sensitive because of various appointments and such is can be different every day.

    • @journeyinthehome
      @journeyinthehome  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I get that. Currently our schedule doesn't have a lot of appointments or extras so I can be more time particular.

    I admire your discipline to get up so early! We rarely start school before 9:30, because our mornings start out pretty slow… 🤭

      I don't know if it's so much discipline as that Ryan's alarm goes off so early. :) If he worked from home or later it'd probably be a much different story. I looove sleeping in.

    Yes so important to have a routine/flow of your day. Kindergarten year was figuring it out tho! 1st grade, this year, is definitely better!

      I'm sure each year you get more familiar with what works for you.
