Yes i agree for Caps they are still in the bubble if they are pretty healthy.
Jets are interesting because imo they can be bubble if they are able to keep Hellebuyck and Scheifele. If they don't sign new contracts then they could be rebuilding if the return is not great or they could end up being tanking team after this season if Hellebuyck and Scheifele just walk in the summer😂
Honestly overall pretty weak rankings, penguins contenders, Canucks are definitely bubble if not playoff lock,panthers regressing,LA kings goaltending is terrible,Tampa is going to have an abysmal team 1 injury and to the defence and they ain’t making it,Devils defence got worst I’d say bubble,and Minnesota looks like they should be tanking/rebuilding

I definitely think the Wings are between bubble and playoff lock, not bubble and rebuild. We almost skated in the playoffs last year with injuries but fell apart at the end. We definitely upgraded defensively and offensively. The only issue is goaltending still. But, I guarantee we will make the playoffs this season. IDK my 2 cents.

Philly is rebuilding but they are not tanking, that roster isn’t a playoff roster but they’re much better than San Jose, Chicago, Anaheim, Canadiens, yotes, and Nashville. The defense is what will weigh them down a bit but they’re an 80 ish point team
They didnt really make much changes from last yr. Will coots even be back this season? Lost Provorov, teams kinda just bad lol. Harts good though
@@shayneletendre9451 they already have some young talent, they added veteran depth in Hathaway and staal, took a chance on poehling and are getting coots and Atkinson back, at the very least they will be about the same as last year but I’m going to say they get to the 80 point mark, either way their roster isn’t awful for a rebuilding team

yeah to be fair we hadn't earned it by recent performances. I'm not shocked by how well they have played this year though. Their roster has been infinitely better the last few years than their results.

Predicting playoff locks in the East is so hard this season with how many teams have a roster on paper thats good enough to make it into the postseason
I dont know why you think the pacific is so bad. You have 2 of the teams at cup contenders and another as a playoff lock. Having the Canucks and Ducks in the same tier is ridiculous. Canucks finished 25 points higher then the Ducks last year and that was with the league's worst pk and Demko out for half the year.

Canucks rebuilding aged poorly
Florida down 1 tier and Vancouver up one tier are the changes I would make. Moving Detroit down 1 tier would also make sense but I think it's fair to have them in either tier. I would also move Minnesota up a tier but I can understand keeping them in that tier too.

Smith not being in Vegas anymore doesn't impact the top-6. Howden was on that 2nd line the entire playoff run. They just need to address Karlsson's wings, they have players competing for those two spots.

The Pacific is not a bad divison
Anaheim and San Jose are both pretty bad. Calgary, Van, and Seattle are all like mediocre. The 2 east divisions are the best, then Pacific, then Central to be fair
@@TacTixHD The pacific division had 4 one hundred point teams while the metro had 3. Also considering the Kraken had 100 points and made it to the second round last year I would say they are better than "mediocre". The flames would have made the playoffs if they were in the metro. I think the pacific is the second best division in the league.
I feel like it is so hard to guess how the Sabres will be next year. Because they have the chance to be amazing and top of the Atlantic. But also have the chance to be bottom of the Atlantic division. (As a Sabres fan)

Western conference weak???? Pacific division weak???? Come on now. You said yourself when talking about Florida - Calgary actually had more points than they did but didn't make the playoffs. Colorado, Dallas, Vegas, and EDM are all elite cup contenders. LA close behind that group IMO. Then you have some other really solid teams like Minnesota, Seattle, Calgary (if they bounce back).... Can we stop with this narrative that the western conference is vastly inferior to the eastern conference?? It's not.
I think it's the fact that you've got Ana, SJ, Chi, Arz, Nashville who will most likely all be bottom teams this year. In the East you have Philly and Montreal. Top end in west you could argue better for sure, but they also have more bad teams imo

Oilers as a Cup contender? Do you have them there bc they went out this summer and improved their deficiencies? Oh wait. They did nothing for goaltending or defense. Two players on the pp cannot win a Cup.
Yep everybody always overlooks the fact that the Oilers have two great offensive players and suspect defense and goaltending and pick them as contender...than these holes cost them, they never fix the problem and the analysts completely forget and go ahead and pick them again the next year only for the same thing to happen. They are great in one facet out of three which is not even enough to guarantee them a playoff spot.

Detroit in my opinion is a 7th Atlantic lock they have a offensive strong defense and Debrincat won't make them much better, No way Florida with 3 Defense and Tkachuk for the start of the season is a playoff lock Buffalo and Ottawa will start with a better roster and arguably have better forward depth.
Also Pittsburgh honestly is a bubble team weak depth and defensively not the greatest as they have guys but they're also more offensive minded and a weak Left D side.
Other than that i think its somewhat accurate

I think putting Colorado as cup favourites does not make any sense. As a roster they are not that much better than let’s say a team like Boston Bruins. Boston has one of the best D-cores and their goalie tandem is better than Colorado’s. Offensively, I don’t think Colorado is that much better than Boston. Yes Colorado is a playoff lock, they are in an easy division, but Bruins would be a lock too if they were in central.

I am thankful to have added by May 2021 NHL Centre Ice to enable me to watch a lot of those games that feature Canadian teams in action even if my hometown Leafs aren’t one of the teams in action. The season during which I started that TV subscription is the same one that had featured all Canadian teams‘ having gotten to play in a single division.
Although I still believe the Canucks are a bubble team, I agree with the TacTixHD TH-cam man’s classification of the remaining Canadian teams (albeit barely in the case of an Oilers’ team that last season took quite a step back in the postseason). When it comes to, in which range within each division such teams to finish, I see:
- the Leafs and Oilers finish in top-three divisional spots
- the Habs finish no higher than fifth in the Atlantic, but among teams out East that end up in the wildcard race, at least three that end up with higher point totals
- among the remaining Canadian teams, the:
- Canucks finish anywhere from 4th to 6th in the Pacific, considering the unlikelihood the Sharks or Ducks will finish sixth or better in that division
- Flames finish in the same range in the Pacific as the Canucks, but (considering minimal changes they’ve made, with the only trade they’ve made, following their most recent game, if other than a near-league-minimum player, having been the trade of Tyler Toffoli that brought Yegor Sharangovich the other way from the Devils) for the second consecutive season, finish out of a playoff spot, even if only barely
- Jets and Sens each finish anywhere from 4th to 7th in their respective divisions as I respectively see at a bare minimum the Blackhawks and Habs finish below them
Do I intend to change my predictions on where any of the Canadian teams finish the regular season? I don’t intend to change such predictions going into the regular season, but once the regular season gets underway, all bets will be off depending on actual on-ice results.
Well since you hate the hawks, it doesn’t surprise me that you haven’t heard of Kaiser. But you will in a few years be hearing about him. He’s one of the most underrated defensive prospects in the league. He also has been the hawks best looking defenseman out of the 4 young guys that are fighting to get into the he lineup, which includes Korchinski. He is almost certainly going to be a solid 2way Dman play logs a bunch of minutes in a teams top4. He’s a nuts skater too.

I would move the Panthers to a bubble team and Boston to a lock but the rest looks good. Boston has too much talent and should be a decent team but Florida I have a gut feeling they will drop and miss the playoffs.

My hot take is the Preds make the playoffs they got a team that wins from the goalie out their goaltending and dcore is amazing and sure their forward core is young but highly skilled and in a small sample size theyve shown they can produce skattered throighout the lineup a full season will be a test from the forward core but I think their backend and goaltending can psuh them into the playoffs

I'm a PS5 player so I can't download your rosters, so I would really love if when you were showing the ratings you could scroll down through every player's potential, and then scroll back up showing their ratings. You don't have to talk about every player at all, just gives play station players a chance to see your changes since I'm a firm believer in the way you rate players. Great videos every time!
