    here's some more useful resources for you guys! ♡
    ▪ bibi's tuning tips (page is in japanese, but it translates quite seemlessly into english)
    big-up.style/zine/article/column/20240906-28990
    ▪ jaxonloid's tutorial on pitchbending
    th-cam.com/video/1Ul63VVaaf0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tahVOhoOH5Rxcq0Z
    ▪ joezCAFE mixing tutorial
    th-cam.com/video/IgzRIZokcZA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bjsxmjXgxHI86N5p
    ▪ lastly, some additional advice from me, is to try and download some pretuned vsqx files!!! looking at how other people tune will help you so much, so try to grab some! you can even observe how AI programs like Synth V autotune!
    good luck everyone! 🫶

    something to keep in mind is that the longer main note we notebend into can sound wildly different based on what kind of phoneme we use so it's a good idea to experiment between using [-] and [a] (or another vowel we're using at the moment) to get the kind of sound we want (or even forgo notebend and simply pitchebnd a [ka] (for example) note instead if we prefer that).
    additionally notebending especially with extremely short notes can completely throw off the consonant AND vowel lengths of the neighboring notes so you should always keep a look out on that c:
    also i find it's generally a good idea to make use of the portamento parameter if we're notebending

      @@red_covers_it changes the point at which the pitch of one note changes into the next one. with a high value it's later and with a low value it's earlier. it's easy to see the effect in vocaloid 4 and higher because of the visible pitch curve on top of your notes ^^

    This really was a great intro to notebending! It was an easy enough technique taught in a concise way for me to get used to editing a UST/VSQx without getting too in the weeds. Then, by the time I tuned a whole short song this way, I'd gotten familiar enough with the program to combine this with some basic pitch bending and dynamic adjustments to take it even further beyond splicing. This is a fantastic "dipping your toes in" kind of technique that will still have good usage as you advbance, it seems! Thank you for the video!

    at some cases to tight notebending can make voicebank swallow some consonants, so it's better to learn tuning through pitch bend parameter

    • @SweetSoSweet
      @SweetSoSweet  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      i don't think one way is better than the other, they both have advantages. notebending is easier to do, and you can get some very interesting results out of it that you can't achieve by pitchbending alone. its also a beginner-friendly technique. but you are right, sometimes there is an issue with the consonants. i personally actually use a combination of both techniques.
      i think teaching people to notebend is a good way to open the door to learning how to pitchbend. seeing how you should bend the note helps you understand the process of tuning and how you can apply it in different ways. (:

    • @soriroguri
      @soriroguri 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@SweetSoSweet no, i absolutely don't mind notebending, it's still a good option in learning and actually tuning, i'm using it too, but the next step after learning notebending is using pitch bend and i want people who are new at voca-producing to know their course
