By far my favorite indie game to come out recently is Dave the Diver. It’s a “fishing” type game, but instead of just using a fishing rod, you gear up and take on the fish in the ocean, using a harpoon gun. You also get to use said fish to run a sushi shop. You should definitely check out Peglin if you haven't already. It's a deckbuilding roguelike where you attack by playing Peggle (or Pachinko). It's still in early access but it's one of the most unique roguelikes I've played recently.

Pizza Tower singlehandely revived my passion for video games. I like games obviously, but the unbelievable fun and engagement I had with PT is incredible.
I'm so tired of platformers (and alot of genres) being so bloody derivative or just fine or relying on nostalgia bait and barebones level design to be called a masterpiece (I'm looking at you Mario Odyssey)
PT made me realizes games can be stupidly fun and innovative like they used to be. I hear Celeste is pretty good too, so now I'm intrigued in whatever the indie scene has to offer. Because god, Nintendo sure as hell cant seem to satisfy my platformer needs.

Dude, I'm sitting here, my brain still cannot comprehend how underrated ProjectMoon games are.
And I dont mean just library of ruina. All of them, the gradual dive into a post singularity world dystopia, chipping each of its concepts, the slow burn of the growing chaos, slipping out of hands each time you feel comfortable...
To see how far we've gone from Lobotomy Corporation in it's Alpha version, through Library of Ruina being a completely different genre, and now Limbus Compay - a gacha, that doesn't feel like gacha???
I made my personal mission to make as many people aware of those games as possible. Because of unique setting. Grim, dark and surreal stories. Amazing OST. And you know who likes amazing OST.

I just experienced vivid flashbacks of loading between my save and the “person who owned the game before me”’s save in oracle of seasons to try and figure out where to go and what to do in a game that I didn’t fully understand. here's my contribution to game recs and engagement:
-Your Only Move is Hustle/Yomi Hustle - a *turn-based* fighting game, where each turn is a few frames, so you can already start getting into the high level play of fighting game mind games even when you're just starting out
-Do Not Feed the Monkeys - an interesting, slightly randomly generated, story game about hidden cameras and peeping people's lives. The resource management can get a lot, but it does play into the story too, do you do the morally decent thing, or do you do the thing that gets you more money because you have 2$ to your name and are on the verge of starving to death

Fine, I'll buy Tunic! Meanwhile, I have a few recommendations for you.
Mortal Sin - solo dev first person action roguelike game with an absolutely awesome art style and very fun combat. On paper it's a very simple game but I find the mix of classes, weapons and passive skills on top of the combat system that encourages animation canceling and different types of combos to be very addictive.
Against the Storm - Roguelike citybuilder and one of the few games with roguelike elements where it feels justified in being a roguelike. Each session is 1-2 hours and each run does really feel different as there are many ways to achieve victory in each scenario. I know citybuilders aren't most people's cup of tea (I don't really like them myself) but this game is really well done.
Signalis - if you enjoyed Resident Evil 1 or Silent Hill then you'll likely love this. One of my favorite indie games of all time. If survival horror is something you like just buy it and go in blind.
