My favorite Simplex device of all time in action, and I like the message these play! Great video.
Thanks! Now just a question I want to ask you. Was this the correct model for this Simplex speaker stroke fire alarm that I put in the title? Because I’m not very well with these types of devices other than the TrueAlerts. And this voice evacuation message sounded almost similar to everyone’s favorite message that I think if you still have it in your collection.
@@JimLiElevators Yep, you got it right! It's the 4903 series of devices. The full model number (4903-####) I am unsure of (separate model numbers for different speaker voltage settings and the candela of the strobe). Ex: a 25v speaker w/ a 15cd strobe would be the 4903-9146.
@@NewEnglandElevatorsThe other 25V models like the 4903-9146 are: 4903-9142 25V 30CD and 4903-9144 25V 110CD. 70V models include 4903-9168 70V 15CD 4903-9171 70V 30CD and 4903-9174 70V 110CD. The sync models of the 4903 speaker strobes go under the model numbers 4903-93XX. For TrueAlerts it is either 4903-935X or 4903-936X.
Good ole 4100+ system. Glad to see one of these custom messages. The default one is very ineffective
It is 4100 36th also
From 1988
@@josephfrye7342 Theres very clearly a 2099-9761 at 1:03, so no, this is indeed a 4100+
Thanks for the close-up recording like I asked about last time you recorded this system in action!
I luckily did my best to get this, but this wouldn’t have happened if I got caught.
@@JimLiElevators I honestly have no idea why anyone would think anything of you doing such a thing, but alright.
Those don’t seem loud I might get one!
love the voice evac
Considering the style of slow whoop this is doing the system is either a pre-4100u or earlier with voice evac or a Simplex 4003 voice evacuation control panel linked to a host panel i,e,e Simplex 4100es
One of my campus buildings once had Simplex 4903-9107’s. Those were the speaker strobes where the strobes flashed very slowly similar to the 4903-9200. Pulls were 2099-9795’s and the panel was a 4020 (assuming paired with a 4003). System was recently replaced.
There's a building campus of mine that has the Simplex 4903-9148's which are a little newer than these
I believe these are tied into a 4100U panel which is an addressable system that has some type feature in it that sends the voice into the system. I don’t know if there is any details on that specific message but all I know is there is this male voice that I heard in this video and there is a female voice for these type of alarms. I learned all this because I’ve also been interested in fire alarms recently just like you have and I also love and collect household smoke alarms now too
My college has a GE EST 3 network (one panel for each building). When fire/emergency drills happen, for fire drills no systems go into full alarm. Some pre-recorded message happens in all buildings, and the same happens for all other drills and emergencies.
Nice video! I honestly think this should become Simplex's default voice evac message.
I already got the standard simplex message with the one re entry floor or main lobby though but in 3 languages English Spanish and French too however this is the 1988 version of this tone
It's important to practice a fire drill
Awesome
Reminds me of the 90s
seems like a custom message available by simplex. I believe this must be a 4100+ just cause it seems to be an older message... but It might still be available in chipsets for today. Any new simplex guys correct me if im wrong.
gosh! i remember when a fire alarm was a simple bell
I hate commenting more then once on one video but if have to ask. I've been watching this video over and over again because of how good the audio messages are. Would you be considerate if I remake the audio file use on this particular system? I'd love to eventually use this audio on my system.
Yes, of course. I’ve also did the same exact thing with the TrueAlerts. Credits are definitely appreciated. Thanks!
@@JimLiElevators I will definitely give you credits! Thank you for allowing me to use the audio to complete the project! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
My school has a notifier Voice evac, but has the Symplex 4003E +4100ES Message
My old school have those fire alarms back back box but one is different simplex 4903 - 9220 in the library
Can it be a code 3 tone
Maybe. Depending on how the control panel is functioned.
@@Ericlovestrains there is an option for a code 3 tone it is rare I think though
I thought they didn’t do fire drills in college. I know dat tha campus I’m going to doesnt
Everyone is acting like the alarm isn't there
