“You could not write a script like this” This World Cup was the moment at age 25 I fell in love with football. Never watched it before this, and now I watch it more than any other sport.
I was three years old then.still a kid,I can really say I remember much about this particular world cup.all I remember was me and my father always just looking at the tv to watch different match at the world cup.
The player got a booking for dissent against the referee. It looked like the player was about to hit the referee while arguing. However, the referee booked the wrong player. The #5 for Algeria, Rafik Halliche, was supposed to be booked and not #4, Antar Yahia.
I was there it was so intense in the stadium the 🇺🇸 really were clutch at the end with everything on the line. Fun fact Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger watched the game together in a luxury box.
family guy got me here....🤣 also, this is painful to watch... if you didn't score, my country would go through, and if you scored earlier i would be more at peace with our elimination
The play was almost missed by the camera work because Howard started that counterattack so fast that it was half over before the network covering it realized it was happening.
this. Judgment. I was. I hope. If they didn't put it. Referee for the match. originally. It seems. Outside. The framework of football and sports in general. ?? 😒
Disagree. If you want to see a winner who did not deserve to pass, then watch Uruguay vs. Ghana in the quarterfinals of this same tournament. *That* was truly an illegitimate victory. Luis Suarez shamelessly cheated to avoid an otherwise-certain defeat. But *this* match was a success won without cheating. It was a 1-0 match, which is an extremely common result. And so there’s really no substance to your claim that the US victory was undeserved. If they won it, then they deserved it.

2010 was an insane World Cup…time flies…
Mannn I was 12 at this time and will be one of my most memorable childhood moments in sports so legendary
And coming from a Boston sports fan ifykyk 😉
That's all you can do in soccer 😂
Not even American... I'm Canadian... but the call on this goal from the commentator is absolutely brilliant, one of my all time favourites.
The most legendary moment in USMNT history! ⚽️🇺🇸
Best moment in USMNT history. GO GO USA!!!
Lol 😂 yanks are trash
You beat me to it!
I was crying when It happened.

Peak USA. They haven’t come close to anything since this moment. I miss the heart and grit the 90s/00s teams had.
@@AdamGee8mine was 2022 at 22 years old weah goal vs wales first goal I ever saw live
Can't believe it's been 14 years. Iconic moment that I will never forget
I was born that year. Too bad, I missed this moment
@@dawidmalan8727 Which part of the year? I was born 3 months after the world cup ended.

What a night. I will never forget that game. 14 years ago already. Time flies faaaast.
USA legendary playert's one,
Mr. Donovan. I love his performance ⚽
Andres Cantor’s call of this goal was/is epic.
14-year-old me is still screaming and jumping for joy. What a day to be a USMNT supporter!!!!
this and previous usmnt had heart and never gave up. the current team doesnt have that but maybe with POCH itll change.
Greatest moment in US men's National team soccer history, even more incredible than the victory against Spain in the confederations cup
One of the most iconic lines. From hope there is glory.
Let’s goooooo!!!! USA!!!
That was 14 years ago
that red card, can someone explain? it seemed like the captain pulled away two players who were arguing with the referee's decision.
The player got a booking for dissent against the referee. It looked like the player was about to hit the referee while arguing. However, the referee booked the wrong player. The #5 for Algeria, Rafik Halliche, was supposed to be booked and not #4, Antar Yahia.
I was in stunned disbelief when Donovan scored that I didn't see the red card to Algeria
I was named after Landon Donovan
It hard watching the higlights because of all the horns, imagine being in the stadium lol
I was in the stadium that night. Well worth it.
From hope there is glory ❤😢
لا بأس غانا إنتقمت لنا🇩🇿❤🇬🇭💪🏿💗💗
Then we avenged ourselves against Ghana 2014
It's okay, you're still Algeria.
@@rodgermurphy5721 Ghana beat you guys 2-1 in 2006 and 2-1 again in 2010 you guys beat Ghana 2-1 in 2014 once only so

@@Spinachlover-wv3yojust sad you have to live through other teams cause you can’t beat us
Pretty sad you have to live through other teams cause you can’t win
This is why as a neutral I root for the US at every World Cup. Such patriotism is remarkable.
ALGERIAAAA ❤
The outlet by Howard might be the most underrated play in USMNT history. But man, if we couldn’t win with that lineup….
Ahhh the goosebumps
Wednesday 23rd June 2010
Algeria is the best ❤
De Bleeckere showing the current level of Belgian referees 🙄🙄🙄 It's shambolic
until this day I still didn't get why he gave Yahia a red card, Yebda screamed at him + Halliche but Yahia did nothing.
Haha, he was like I'm not taking that abuse from Algeria and I'm sending someone off, I don't even care who it is!
I was there it was so intense in the stadium the 🇺🇸 really were clutch at the end with everything on the line. Fun fact Bill Clinton and Mick Jagger watched the game together in a luxury box.
Vive algeria
4:25 😮why redcard???
Ik???
the most undeserved red card in history...
the redcard was given to wrong player, but i guess the referee didnt care and just wanted to send a message
Payed, robbed usa what do you expect
Would be nice if we could see the score or time or hear the announcers...
Man. What a day.
wow 14 years already. getting old.
As an Egyptian I was celebrating this because of the nature of how Algeria got there lol That moment when Anter Yahia got red carded was pure karma 😂
That was a really bad end for Algeria in this World Cup
Gooo Algeria 🇩🇿
GGG, I'm waiting!
Algeria is juste the team when she will be strong at 2010 in south afriqua maybe🫰 in this years fifa living football❤

Lol referee should be ashamed of himself for carding the wrong player. Such an embarrassment
It was just a lucky day🤣🤣🇩🇿
Lucky? We had been beating y’all all day.
We had multiple chances and even a goal scored ridiculously called back by a bogus offside try again bub
This is one of the most impressive counter attacks ive ever seen in football
The play was almost missed by the camera work because Howard started that counterattack so fast that it was half over before the network covering it realized it was happening.
❤😊❤

Referee on American payroll!
Any latest football match
الجزائر غير زوامل في المواقف تاع الصح مثل كاس العالم ههههه
الجزائر لعبت أفضل من امريكا لكن الحظ لم يكن معهم
No no they didn’t
We had more chances and even had a goal waved off ridiculously by a phantom offside
What country is Algeria ?
Algeria is the largest country in Africa situated between two small countries ( Morocco and Tunisia ) on the map😁
The largest country, go back to kindergarten lil bro
Hi😊
Referee saved USA from Barbarossa
Well, not so wild. I thought we would've seen three or maybe two goals. The tittle just a click bait!
Yes, I agree.
The US were seconds from being eliminated and clutched out the goal. That's a pretty wild ending to me...
🇺🇸💪
Poor Referee
Miss the vuvuzuela so much

all that hype just to lose to ghana lol
