Originally I only wanted to run this with Wardcliff, as looking through exotics it was one that I genuinely forgot about until I saw it. From there, it made me remember this being the original D2 meta weapon, alongside Midnight Coup and Manannan at the time. Unfortunately, the Manannan collection roll is only void, so I went with Tone Patrol which was a decent alternative, and is arc. Here's the result.
The run itself is very slow going, I forgot the pathing in The Harrow and I didn't want to hit myself with the Wardcliff. It still gets a comfortable 2 phase, although that's with quite a bit of help from Geomags and Chaos Reach. Either way, the upside to running these 1600 dungeons is that the weapon choice allows for older sunset options. And with Midnight Coup coming back as part of Into the Light, I guess the timing works out.

Wardcliff coil has to be one of the most forgotten iconic destiny 2 weapons, like it was literally the gun for awhile only to just repeatedly get super nerfed into straight obscurity.

@@mr.firstshot5652 It's still used a bit in PVP, although not as much that's for sure. It's very satisfying to fry the wizard boss at the end of Shattered Throne with it. Literally 1-shot with the 3 buffs.
Nice to know it was once meta. I'd love to see 6 Guardians (or maybe 5, because someone has to use Gjallarhorn?) unloading multiple Wardcliff volleys into a raid boss.
It was originally going to be in d1 but they moved it to d2 for sone reason. It was in the game files for rise of iron.
@@dembro27nah sadly gjally only buffs legendary. Wardcliff is purposely nerfed so that it does way less damage to anything coded as a boss. It still smacks gorgons in vog tho lol that’s about its only shine except crucible
I remember how in every raid or item location vid from Red War until Shadowkeep, you used Midnight Coup in those vids; probably because it was still a lightweight frame handcannon that gave +20 Mobility.

Probably not, as there's nothing really special about it or a way I could show it to be interesting imo. It's mostly just filled with a bunch of random armour pieces from raids in case they're ever needed for a solo or something, and a lot of the weapons are nothing special either, just filling random slots. The only remotely interesting or old thing I've kept is the original 0 power level armour pieces from the beginning of the red war campaign for all 3 classes (scorched / tattered / wrecked), which you had to reroll and delete a character to keep them at the time. No idea why I'm still holding onto them, other than ever needing some niche super low power level set with 0 in every slot except for a power weapon
I remember old Esoterickk videos where Midnight Coup used to be the only primary I saw in most videos. Then they sunset it. Glad to see it being in the arsenal again👍

I literally used midnight coup throughout crota last week and throughout dsc
Had a teammate run khovostov, glaive, and boltcaster frame sword in DSC for my first run. He was friends with all the guys and was low key carrying with mechanics so we were all dying laughing the whole raid. Legit took like 42 mins for the whole thing

Being off for ~45 seconds kills you, curse of suffering makes you take more damage the more of it you have, and dunking the ball resets it
