One of my V8 sedans is modded...It went a but funny....the exhaust note changed and it was doing a little bit of hesitating / sputtering when going to move off from a stop at intersection etc. I described it as though the car had lost some of its balls / growl / rumble. Despite the O2 sensors not throwing any fault codes....and the car only having 67,000 km on the clock, I thought the issues were either due to the exhaust clogging up a bit from only being driven on short trips around town.... or one of the O2 sensors might have been on the blink.... Anyhow, I ran some injector cleaner through the car, took it on 3 or 4 longer highway drives at higher speeds for about 30 minutes to an hour.... then I put 4 new O2 sensors in the vehicle.... The old ones pass the multimeter test... but the new ones appear to have solved the issues...the hesitation and spluttering has gone.... it sounds like the car has got back its deeper growl.... and it goes great when I put my foot down. My point is that the OBD2 never picked up a fault code. The old O2 sensors passed the multimeter test...and check engine light never lit up. What I think the issue was caused by is not taking on longer drives at higher speeds, and maybe an O2 sensors beginning to fail under prolonged heat.
Gomma Bangani lol exactly what I thought when starting watching this video No one will ever be able to fake or copy scottykilmer that guy is the reason I know what I know today 👌🏼
🙄 Why is this the number one comment? SMH... His 'pitch' don't sound at all like SK. Sounds more like he's from the same neck of the woods most likely. Besides, If this guy was trying to copy SK then he would have a corny ass intro and a goofy ass animal pop up each time he 😄'd. you're a copycat too ya know? Every word you ever spoke came from someone you know. Originality is so damn rare these days... Eff who sent the message, did ya get the damn message ?!

Hey I tested my o2 sensors voltage after 5 min of car warmup in warm weather and the voltage jumps from low to high constantly. bad sensor? Just replaced cat and front afr sensor

No bro. The pitch makes you sound like you're faking ScottyKilmer. Your explanations are fine
That's cause you're racist. We don't all look and sound alike.

Great video full of useful information on testing O2 sensors; no blah...blah...blah!
👍😊
I'll be damn. An oxygen sensor IS a generator. She blinded me with science.
I have a p0430 code on my 2013 ford edge and tryin to find out if it's sensor or cat wish there away to check without takin sensor out
that's great but what about the other 3 cables?
He looks like Red Foreman from That 70s Show 😂
So was that 02 sensor good??? it went from zero to .89 volts...thax
roadstar499 It works but not at optimum performance. It should reach 1 volt.
@@proclaimliberty2000 a cheap volt meter could be off slightly also... thax
Just curious what a new sensor reads vs a used sensor, and what is considered an ok amount of voltage?
So if it stays under 1 volt it’s no good?
How do you know the blue wire is the one to test?
Because it's the only one that will complete the circuit when testing for voltage output.
proclaimliberty2000 ..... Ok, in latest O2 sensors it comes in different colour and how to find out this ?
What's with the Scotty shaking the head under the hood for? Lol
Bad o2 sensors could cause the transmission to go into Limp Mode correct? And God bless you too sir.

can an O2 sincer make your car die..
my car is dying but it starts right back up I replaced alternate an battery
Nice thanks
Tanks, very good

Just replaced cat and front afr sensor
Yeah ur upstream o2 sensor suppose to fluctuates like that
Awesome thanks 🙏👏
Gerard Donaire 👍😂
maybe show what setting to use on volt meter for us who haven't had much experience?
Simply set on DC volts
Good video.
Andy Ridley 👍😊
very nice
Really

Looks like you demonstrated a temperature sensor, not a oxygen sensor, unless the oxygen level changes also as a function of temperature.
