Hello brother. Youre moving along and I suppose im making along, LOL. I just ordered some valve cover gaskets for my 05 lincoln with a 4.6 engine. Im only going to remove the left engine side valve cover because on cold startup theres a clank clank clank sound that makes me believe there could be a temporary cam shaft thrust happening and it disappears after 3 seconds or so. In your video just now I got a good view of the left cover on your 4.6 and it looks the same as where I dont think the injectors or coils are going to have to be unplugged to remove that cover.

@@EarlGuyton425 something it not Earl is the wiring harness on my motor is just sitting there. Shouldn't be too difficult.

@@WoodiePaulI noticed how mine was clear of any wiring 3 days ago when I changed my oil sender unit, I removed the air intake and unplugged the maf and crankcase ventilation tube to change the oil sender from the top of the engine. It was an easier job I think to just remove the oil filter and change the sender from on top of the car. The front of that lincoln sits low in the front and changing it that way was easier than a floor jack and jack stand. I was surprised at how that valve cover can be removed without anything in the way, being I have seen YT videos of guys taking those off and having to remove the injector plugs and coil plugs. My main harness sits directly behind the valve cover as to where others ive seen the harness goes over it. I believe whats causing that clanking at startup is the cam bracket just behind the cam gear has the main oil squirt port for the entire cam and lifters and I think it may be partially plugged up, so if I take that front cam bracket off and clean out the port in the engine head and the bracket itself. Its not a lifter tap or rod and isnt a chain noise, but is right behind that cam gear is where the clank is where the oil feed port is

@@WoodiePaul I will let you know for sure. The reason I respond sometimes with lengthy comments is because I like to help others educate on certain engines that are viewers or the video maker.
