I personally moved from Irvine to Lake Forest and I honestly do like it so much better. It’s peaceful & quiet and we are only 7 minutes from Spectrum. It gives us the best of both worlds. We also live on the Lake Forest Keys which makes life feel like a vacation every day.

Affordable if you were looking at Irvine, 1 million dollar, 3 bedroom single family homes (starter homes) isn't necessarily "Affordable" Us locals are getting driven out, the 3 bedroom townhouse I live at has a retail value of nearly 1M 😅
