I used to Deliver the Santa Monica Evening Outlook in 1979 to 1982 and I remember thinking that 300 k was a lot to pay for a ranch style home near the Rivera .If only I had known! You would not think that throwing newspapers would be that great of a job but it was like working at a resort everyday seeing famous people and every one was happy all the time. I had Ronald Regan on my route as my most famous customer. I met Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel and Linda Carter .I used to see Dean Martin everyday at the Rivera . I guess I am sounding old now but I am glad that the Palisades are still going strong . I used to live in Westwood Village and I think all of the charm is gone now due to overcrowding , but I drove down sunset over the summer and even though it has changed a lot from 1979 it is still mostly as I remember it.
300k was a lot back then! Crazy where the prices have gone! Glad you found this video and that it brought back some old memories!
I'd have delivered that route for free, just to be able to see Lynda Carter as often as possible. Still one of the most naturally beautiful women I've ever seen. 😍😍😍
