Deputy Revives 1-Year-Old Girl Overdosing on Fentanyl

- Deputies in Alabama raced to save a 1-year-old who allegedly was overdosing on fentanyl. Bodycam video shows the response. When a Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputy finds the little girl sprawled out on the floor, he tries to look for a pulse. He administered Narcan, a nasal spray to revive people overdosing on opioids. It worked to wake the child up, but she was then rushed to the hospital. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more. #InsideEdition

When a mother is more worried about herself going to jail and loving her drug addiction more than her child is sad to think about. 😔😔😔
No one said it was an addiction. That is assumed. People do get prescribed these drugs for pain or whatever reason from their doctors so it’s not just a street drug…however when they do and have children in the house it should be locked up and out of reach of children!!! And usually when such a powerful narcotic is given, they give a prescription for narcan as well. You just can’t assume it’s an addiction.
@@candya1040 pretty safe to assume though.
@@candya1040 It’s an addiction. That house has no furniture because the mom uses her money for drugs. Assume rhe worst
long essay: let's not make assumptions this is a mother that needs to better and not do drugs and she should have keep them out of the baby's reach In the first place may that poor baby get help and I hope the mom gets help to and goes to rehab she might really care about her child drug addicts have feelings to and they can still love their child anyways yeah
@@candya1040 they already did the search and was reported as that. Do not try to sugar coat this issue. A damn baby is involved for God sakes.
I understand addiction but this mothers level of carelessness is just inexcusable.

He deserves a medal of Honor, for saving that child real heroism
Lmao thats a military award dumbass 😂 but nice save by cop
That's his job. U give awards for people that go above and beyond. He sprayed narcan In her nose. The bare minimum he could do. Now had he done CPR knowing she just swallowed a unknown amount of fentynal that would have been brave since trace amounts can kill.
It’s his job.
I think everyone who's saved someone deserved a medal of honor bit then the medal of honor wouldn't be special anymore. It's kind of like money, if you make more of it, it becomes less special
Yes!!
Man that's intense. And the disregard for the child's protection against deadly drugs and substances is appalling. Also, your child has been like that for 30 minutes and she's still on the floor and not being rushed to a hospital?? Weird.
That's what I was thinking!! 30 damn minutes!!! They probably were trying to get their damn lies straight!! They should have arrested every damn adult in that house. Trifling...
Sometimes it takes 30 minutes for police/ambulance to show up after they’ve been called. That’s a possibility here.
@@millicentdollhouse5252 some how I doubt that was the case in this situation.

Oh damn! I thought she said one minute. I was thinking holy! That cop got there fast! 30 minutes? Why not rush your own kid to the hospital?!?
Everyone in that house should have been locked up. They just standing there. This just sickening

Exactly what I said! This is clearly a drug house.
I was thinking the same thing!! I thought maybe they were in the middle of moving?? That was the only logical thing I could think of that the house was completely empty like that and full of people...still a drug house though. and maybe they weren't paying attention to the baby because they were moving and their stash that was probably out on the counter or something and thought she couldn't get to it. I am in no way justifying what happened here and everybody there should get in trouble in my opinion but I was just trying to think of how the hell this effing happened!!
It’s a Trap house. The baby should have never been there :(

As a recovering addict with 8 years clean from heroin this definitely hit home for me. My life was unmanageable and I made my fair share of fk ups, but if I had children I just can't fathom doing this to them. If she doesn't wake tf up and get sober from this, there's nothing that will. I truly believe every single addict has it in them to get clean no matter how far gone so I do have high hopes that she does whatever she needs to do to end her battle with addiction. My heart goes out to her daughter, and I'll be praying for her recovery.
8 years is a long time! You should be proud of yourself!
Your a strong women, thats awesome.
This better be her rock bottom. Thank goodness mine wasn’t nearly as tragic. I was as careful as an addict could be, at least when it came to my daughter. Congrats on you being 8 years clean, ive just hit 4 years after my relapse.
Finally constructive criticism
Always say no to temptation. It's the 'trigger' that makes you start, that needs to be removed, or healed. Deliverance from those things hitchhiking on the 'trigger'. It can be something as simple as stress, or as drama, as trauma, but you have to find it. Unpack it, and examine it. It gets less scary when unpacked, and you realize your normal. But not until you unpack it. So much freedom in Deliverance! God bless you all on your journeys, He is our redeemer. 💌
You can’t be serious right? Cmon people! Your really gonna put your kids up like this!?
That was terrifying. Wtf is wrong with people. Standing around crying while a baby almost dies. Thank God someone (the officer) knew what to do. Did they just move into that house or were they moving out? It was empty of anything but people.
What were they supposed to do
Imagine my shock when the same group of people wishfully thinking they’re going to defund the police stand back and do absolutely nothing but play victim as a police officer revives their own overdosing baby. Let me clarify at no point did I say or imply the mother did this on purpose.
@Basleal S seriously? Calm down? You have to be as dumb as the mother!! She endangered that baby for what!? Oh yeah... Stop acting like a butthurt child! If the mother gave on purpose or if it happened accidently, nothing about this should be taken lightly, so stop telling other to "calm down" and keep your idiotic opinions to yourself
you're as ignorant as they come...how would you know if the child was given or not? So wait till the police keep the investigation on the case.
@Basleal S bro, the house got no furniture, she was a drug dealer, thats the only evidence that this entire video can show

That’s all she was charged with? Not possession? And they didn’t say anything about CPS removal. Some people should be permitted to have children.

@@rachel4339 Fentanyl prescribed for home use is only available as a patch. Kids don’t slap patches on themselves randomly, so she must have ingested it.
@@shalaywashington6326 yeah I read that the mom admitted her daughter ingested it after I wrote this reply. However a child could definitely use a patch, it's not much different than a sticker...
Regarding the possession, a lot of states have a Good Samaritan Law that deters users from not calling for help. By punishing her, it gives a message to addicts that calling for help gets you into trouble which detracts them from calling. Lives get lost that way.
