May I say something about suffering? I'm a woman in the Middle East. I'm familiar with pain and suffering, I know them intimately. The pain and suffering, their intensity and utter hopelessness brought me to Jesus. Had I not been drifting in that pitch black darkness, I could never have seen the light of God. You need to know both. It's like those drawings with charcoal, shadow and light play together to create a beautiful picture. Seems immature to expect only goodness in the world. How would we learn anything then?

What makes you ssuppose that the pork chop understands anything of christianity when he is no christian because he could no more be a christian that you I orany dreaming machine, and like you or I could not be christuanymore than he could fast for eve seven days; the smug pork chop is a fraud. You simply*cannot* define'god without resort to cngonates synonyms desciptions(and of course not) examples and other forms of circularity or begging the question or x=y=x where neither x nor y are defined or ascribed a value because god is just some vague dreamy idea that *some_else* put into diddum's head,so it is somene_elses* idea not diddum's who is just the passive recepracle of someone else's shit- a sort of organic walking chattering bog or lavatory and what the word actually*means* diddums has not the faintest idea. and that titch you are about to demonstrate why the fcuk anyone supposes that Christianity has anything to do with the god fantasy is anyone's guess, because it is not a word that a Jew is allowed to use thus jesus christ*Never* used the word god for obvious reasons and if ever anyone suffered in translation it is that poor fcuk, who picked a *very* queer way of committing suicide indeed.

I'm Albanian by the way and even though I was a kid in the 80s I remember pretty much everything. It goes to show you how stupid the human pcyche in the Western Europe it actually is. @@angelawatkinson245 What type of "evidence" does utility provide? There is utility (to different degrees) in the scriptures of other religions as well as in various works of fiction (both ancient and modern). Aseop's Fables, which predate the Christian scripture would be a good example. Are you arguing that utility implies truth?
I suspect that "tiny drop of faith" is simply a euphemism for "accept the proposition without sufficient evidence". Essentially, you're asking me to "believe" something I don't believe because there are not sufficient reasons for me to be convinced. You would definitely NOT accept this line of reasoning from a member of a different religion, so how can you reasonably expect me to accept it from you?

This is an interesting point. William Lane Craig had an interesting conversation with The Cosmic Skeptic on this issue. While the utility or social aspect of Christianity is not direct evidence of it being true, I think the social impact of Christianity shouldn't be overlooked - I would ask, WHY did Christianity have such an impact on our culture and shaped our Western mind? As for truth, I also have an episode with John on 'What is Truth?'.

To improve the efforts of encouraging others…
We all are oblivious to: The Affects of Critical Criticism on a perfectly good relationship.
Critical Criticism is how we can express ourselves with positive intentions (because we believe we’re being Constructive) to others. Yet somehow our statement results with a negative response. This stimulates a reaction from us… Thus ultimately cutting off the lines of proper communication and closing the window of opportunity.
The negative interaction was not simply because others are sensitive and don’t want to listen to anyone tell them what to do or what they should be doing, or what they’re doing wrong. And it’s certainly not because we said what was needed to be said and they just didn’t want to comprehend.
The avoidable error is created when we mistake Critical Criticism for Constructive Criticism and then never adjust or correct the poor mentality.

Which part is a myth and legend to you - and why would that keep you from the essence of the gospel - that we are all sinners in the presence of a good and Holy God (evidenced by the conscience, morality, the presence of good and evil, objective truth). We can look at the justice system, and realize a criminal is not pardoned for the good works that he has done, for he is being judged for that sin which he has done - the way out is to throw yourself on the mercy of the judge, and Jesus came in as judge and savior, and imparted on himself the penalty of our sins, that we might come back into communion with a good God in spite of our sins, IF we believe in that which Jesus is and what He has done. Don't let something like Jonah or Noah stop you from belief, because in the end, if this is all created, creation itself is a far greater miracle than we could ever understand. Ive always taken it as an act of humble faith to believe those parts of the Bible that seems unbelievable, because in essence, all of reality is that. Prof. Lennox is an admirable and thoughtful Christian. Nevertheless I cannot help but be curious about how he sees, as a Christian, the genocide currently unfolding in Palestine, or, the devastation incurred in Iraq under false pretense, or, going back further for that matter, the morals of the British Opium wars committed on another country, before he holds and promotes his strong conviction on his 'persecution of the uyghur' belief. I wish Prof. Lennox did not get his strong conviction on the 'uyghur persecution' from the BBC and the like. How much time has Prof. Lennox spent in Xinjiang, or in China, for example? As a Christian myself, I sincerely wish Prof. Lennox the best, because the first loyalty of a Christian is to Truth, not to political ideology, however deeply ingrained. May God Bless you.

Flat earthers may be able to cobble together a few biblical texts that APPEAR to give credence to their lunacy, but this doesn’t make them Christians. Satan himself quoted scripture to tempt Jesus into sin. He quoted scripture accurately and in context too! The problem is that he left out the counterbalancing texts which prevent an unbalanced and erroneous understanding of the texts he quoted, which is the exact same mistake that irrational Flat-earthers (who claim to be Christians) do.
The texts used by these people do NOT teach that the earth is flat and given that this is a deception, a true Christian who knows and loves the truth as embodied in the person of Jesus Christ, should KNOW the TRUTH and be set free from such lies (see John 8:32) which come from the father of lies.
Jesus didn’t say that He wanted us to learn the truth, He said that we WILL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL MAKE US FREE.
He also said that He would send the Holy Spirit, who will teach us all things (John 14;26) and lead us into all truth (John 16:13)
It follows from these texts that people who are deceived to such an extent that they can’t read the word of God properly, don’t have the Holy Spirit and therefore cannot be Christians.

‘What does atheism offer a dying person?’
It seems arrogant to presume ‘a dying person’ needs to be offered anything, other than relieve of pain, for comfort, if required and if possible the presence of non-religious family loved ones. Especially if you have lived a ‘longish’ life.
To ‘slip away’ knowing that you’ve contributed what YOU can during your time on earth, is quite enough. If you are aware of loving family members at your side, then what more do you need? Certainly not a guilt/sin ‘obsessed’ priest, or other (Their interference is really for THEIR benefit), poking their nose in, as too many seem entitled to do and are puzzled if their presence is refused.
Memories of you may or may not live on in the minds of those you loved, but if you believe that to be probable, then that is more than enough to ‘go quietly into that good night’ (to misquote Dylan Thomas - no need for ‘rage’). Certainly NOT to meet some mythical ‘maker’!

It's an interesting point. Although I wouldn't think the question is offensive in itself, as it refers to the idea that Christianity offers hope to a dying person, the hope that there is something better in the afterlife, which may even bring peace in this life. That is, of course, if you believe there is such a thing as life beyond death. Otherwise, as you say, Christianity doesn't really bring anything to the table. Your answer reminds me of a great book, A Secular Age, by Charles Taylor in which he makes this very point, that our world doesn't really need God anymore because you can accomplish things and feel you had a good and meaningul life without God. So the question is, why would anyone need Jesus Christ, why would anyone need God? The question is then, do we think our accomplishments (whatever that means) are enough for us to find meaning beyond death. And that's actually the subject of my next interview with a UK theologian.

There's no love outside Jesus. Atheism says you were created for nothing and you live for nothing, no love can be extracted from that. But truth and lies exist, good and bad exist, we all have a moral code inside us and life is bigger than us.
I'll never follow another human being like me, because I know the limits of a person. And if a human, limited and imperfect is the lie, only a perfect and limitless being can be the truth.

And if whatever god there may be keeps you from heaven merely bc the fact that you reject him and hurt his feelings instead of being judged on your conduct , then that god would not be worthy of respect nor worship .

I agree with you that some of our atheist friends who are very decent people may have stronger moral values than some Christians, and live a 'better life' in a sense. But the question remains, why would anyone do what's right and proper, and if we are to live a just life, where do we get that idea from? In other words, what is the basis or the standard for our moral values. Is it just because of our social norms that have evolved over the years in our respective cultures? And most importantly, are our moral values objective?

It is certainly conceivable that early hominids as consciousness evolved over time eventually figured out that it is a lot better to cooperate with one another rather than be hit over the head with a club or stoned or lose loved ones in conflict . Perhaps a mutual sense of pain and suffering eventually led to the foundation of rudimentary notion of morality . Who knows 🤷🏼‍♂️

In fact I’m not to put off by the idea of the deist version of god, that is to say one that set everything in motion billions of yrs ago and then either died, can’t intervene or doesn’t care to . I just reject a personal god , one that hears and answers prayers , intervenes , creates miracles etc . I find no convincing evidence for that .
Moreover, what do you have to say about Buddhists and Jains for example , who are amongst the planets most kind compassionate and loving people and who revere the sanctity of life so much so that they walk on cheese cloth to avoid killing insects ? Interesting, when reviewing the word religion, we have to look at what religion actually is based upon what their name is and what the entomology of that word means to gain context.
Religion obviously Greek word, 'relegios' meaning "return to the law"
    Well, whose "law"?
There is only one set of precepts and commandments created before civilization started to take route and spread from there... Find buy a system of morality external to our, benefits external, that means it's a standard, because if it was internal or cultural exercise by people that just makes it an opinion, and that's all culture is and opinion by a group of people, and as we know opinions can change rendering it entirely subjective.
The ten commandments were meant for everyone, The Gospel is the doorstep to live righteously after inviting the Holy Spirit into your life by accepting the death and resurrection of Christ through the propitiation paid out of that one time for all... When this transaction occurs that's called justification which is a financial term... Meaning basically the books are now rectified - or the right category.
The prefix 're' "return to" obviously meaning go back to... and then we have the suffix "legios" which means to legislate or to govern.
It's where we get our word "legislate" from
The ten commandments are an anthropomorphic stamp by the Creator on the sentient and conscionable being he created and gave free will to use him as evidence of him having created them, of course rejected by man, by-in-large...
This is why man will be doomed for rejecting him, the only purpose he was allowed to live was to serve him but to demonstrate love he gave you free choice, course is what Satan ever exist to pervert and corrupt.
So, we have to deal with man's labels...
If we take the apostle Paul standard for anything that denies the spirit, that is testing spirits by the spirits and denies the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the one time appreciation for all sin for all time.
I'm very common faith, get excluded though they are invasive and require discernment to not get frosted up as religion knowing that it is not
No, in linear time table fashion, liberal Judaism existed before catholicism, the liberal Jews are sadducees, Sadducees reject the spirit, they deny the resurrection and they say there are no angels, this is in the book of acts, they are not religion as a matter of fact they are responsible solely for the crucifixion of Jesus christ, why? Because Jesus represented a material threat to the coup that they established to displace the Pharisees and to Buddy up with Rome to keep their power.
They are still doing that today.
Cowering behind the hard work of the pharisees, who are not as guilty but still guilty, of placing the Bible would call the "traditions of man"for us that would be culture, ahead of being obedient to his precepts and doctrine through his word.
So the Sadducees effectively, may as well just be the local ACLU branch, at your corner synagogue, there is no Jesus in them at all as a matter of fact they hate Jesus - because they reject the supernatural you are automatically disqualified as religion.
Roman Catholicism came next, it was because of the heretical acts of Aries a third century church elder, was booted out of the church because he denied what is called in theology the hypostatic union, meaning that God the father in Christ are not one - was rejected.
The seeds of the Roman Catholic bishopric were formed that same year in 325 AD
Then you have Islam that came almost 500 years later, it was not battling the first century Christian Church he was actually battling catholicism, therefore more contemporary arguments against Christianity are polluted, because they were taking on the Catholic church in the name of, which we all know is just frosting
Christianity at face value is neither, it is a relationship.

Some of these molecular machines are also the things that reads the DNA’s code to construct the other molecular machines and to make copies of the DNA. In the first case, well, you won’t be conscious to remember that offer, and in the 2nd case, you will be in a new reality no matter what ever you have been told about the afterlife. After we die, an atheist will never know if he is right, but only if he is wrong. Conversely, the Christian will never know he is wrong, but only that he was right.
The most rational person will take the second choice as much happier than the first.

I humbly submit these questions to Bible scholars and all spiritual people.
I have heard over and over that the Nephilim were created from the daughters of men and fallen angels.
Whether true or not, this is why the Creator destroyed the Nephilim in the World-Wide Flood (WWF) and imprisoned the fallen creatures in a dark place. As far as I know you can destroy physical beings but you can't destroy and kill spirits but you can imprison them.
    So these are my questions?
    1) How can disembodied angels sleep with human daughters and create Nephilim offspring?
Are the Nephilim hybrids created from a special being we don't know about, or have UFOs slept with the daughters of men ?
    2) The Lord Jesus said that the end times will be like the days of Noah and Lot. Could this be one of the reasons why UFOs and Nephilim have reappeared on this earth?
    3) Could AI and Transhumanism play a major role in Nephilim reincarnation to wipe out human genes?
We know that God used a flood to destroy the Nephilim race. And will we see Nephilim reincarnation before the apocalypse?
    4) The Bible says that after we enter the kingdom of heaven or after our physical body is separated from the spiritual body, we humans will be like God's angels. It means that we have a spiritual body, but when we live on earth in the physical world, we have a physical body. This is the main reason why human beings get married, but does it mean that when God's angels enter the physical world, they will have a physical body like ours?
    5) Why did the Sodomites want to sleep with the angels who came to earth to destroy them? What did these Sodomites see in God's angels? I thought angels were spiritual beings?
    6) Do God's angels appear to the righteous? Or will they reveal themselves to all mankind? Is it because the Sodomites saw God's angels in physical form?

If we examine the Scriptures we see that the earth is in the grip of a raging war between God and Satan. God cannot destroy Satan summarily because His precious humans are being held hostage. So Christ has to rescue us one at a time.

In terms of people taking up things contrary to the evidence. That’s a predicted effect in the Veda’s of this life age of the earth - Kali Yuga. It’s the time of least spiritual potency were people attention spans are weakened and is described as a spiritual winter.
The effect of this is people don’t tend to think very deeply about things. It’s why people want everything explaining to them in a 60 second tik tok video instead of research.
It has other predicated effects too. The decline in morality and nutritional value in food.
