Great tips! I always like to pack light when I travel, so that bag looks perfect! Packing cubes are great too. I did laugh when I spotted the cat right near the end haha
Oh yes, the cats could NOT stay away from us shooting that video! They kept trying to jump inside the bag, too. As cats do. :D
I've been to Africa many times and I'm only just starting to get this right 🙈 It's amazing how cold the mornings can be but then as the day goes on, it becomes sooo hot. So yes, lots of layers is important! I also love packing cubes. They make packing so much easier and more organised throughout the trip.
It's amazing how it can get so cold at night and so hot during the day! Packing cubes are definitely key, I totally agree! (That was a rhyme, whoops!)

These are great tips! I learned first hand about wearing bright colors and attracting bugs a long time ago. Even though I seem to just attract them regardless of the color. But the brightness makes it worse.
And I love packing cubes as well! They keep things organized and packs things nicely!
I still ended up with lots of bites from the tsetse flies, even following the rules. I can't imagine what would have happened if I didn't. I would have been one giant bug bite of a human!

These are some really great tips, i personally am African and i concur. You covered all the necessary equipments but just to add on please don't forget heavy jackets as east African weather is very wet and in the wild can get crazy cold :D
Oh that's so great to hear that I have endorsement from someone from Africa! And YES it rained a whole bunch of times while we were there! Thankfully, we had a tarp over our jeep that we put down, and our lodges had lots of umbrellas. If we had to walk around outside at all, I would have been lost without a rain jacket!
Awesome tips! I also use the pack cubes when packing. Very convenient and I like my things organized. And that Malaria tabs, is it really necessary when traveling in Africa?
Always speak to a travel doctor in advance, but I've always taken malaria tablets when traveling to both Tanzania and Kenya. Better to be safe!
I'd add a sun hat in there, and a swim suit, as often the game drives are in the early mornings and late afternoons with the middle of the day spent resting and relaxing by the pool.
