Thanks for blowing out my ears with your intro music. Holy shit! 😆
Haha omg so sorry
Just like Rivian call center’s hold music.
@paulc6575 omg haha I’m so sorry I’ll make sure to fix it
He's just making sure you're awake and ready for info.
@@sstevens805 I sure was after that 😂. Carry on Jose!
Nice! I hope they continue to update the rear screen. Would be great to have video playing for the kids.
I hope so too!
Yes PLEASE hope to have video back there. I thought this was on the list unless i am mistaken.
yes this will happen, but i love the free hotspot and wifi
Jose, keep hoping for more ABRP feature integration since Rivian purchased ABRP in June, 2023.
Looking forward to updating. 🤙
You’ll love it 😍
👍🏻 for video. Also I feel better when I’ve noticed some air bubbles on the left of second row screen protector. I have same thing. Even though my front 2 screens protectors installed perfectly 😂
It’s hard to get the small screen perfect and I tried lol
Great steps in the right direction. Now we need TH-cam and Netflix.
Yes!
awesome!
🔥
I love Foxtail Coffee too! they are coming down here in South Florida too!
Literally the best! It’s so cozy and delicious
thanks, can't wait to update. i wish they would improve the profile management. it's a pain when friends borrow the truck and have to go through the process of inviting them.
Hopefully one day, it took Tesla a while to integrate that
Just got the update last night...haven't driven my R1T yet. Thanks for the information.
Enjoy!
Super update. Kudos to Rivian and thanks for previewing it for us.
My pleasure
Thanks!
Oh wow thank you! You’re my first super ❤️
You do not look like a Jose! Great reviews and X feed!
Haha I’ve been told 😂
One thing I noticed was the Tesla chargers were not appearing in my infotainment until AFTER this update. I know this because I got my adapter and wanted to find a Supercharger and had to use the Tesla app on my phone. Then I got the Rivian update later today, updated, went looking again and they were there!
Make sure in the filters you don’t have HIDE adapters toggled on. It is by default
@@riviantrackr Appreciate the tip. However that was not the case either version. They must be updating their acceptable charger list within their infotainment updates.
Thought the notes indicated garage door updates? Anything occur there?
Nothing on that front
The rear screen updates will be great while car camping.
The flaw I see is convoluting locking the ability to take actions with the ability to see information. A lot of us would like our riders to be able to see information (track info, route info, weather, etc) but not give them controls.
Feels like if your riders are adult enough to digest the info, they will be responsible enough not to mess things up. You could always ask them nicely right? Letting them explore a bit is good too. Doesn't make them feel like 2nd class riders.
@@LarsDennert In my case they are 3 and 5, so not quite ready to trusted with the outlet control and seat heaters. But they do love to see the album art of the music and see how far we've gone and how far to go. I was also thinking about ride-share drivers, though I'm sure that's not a lot of Rivians.
i dont see any option to update yet! thanks though
Will the screen show trip progress while it is locked? I'd like my kids to see the progress but I don't want them changing any settings.
Unfortunately it will not
@@riviantrackr That's a bummer. Maybe you can pass along that feedback?
@@Linuturk Maybe you can ask your kids not to mess with it or you'll turn it off.
@@LarsDennert yep, and enforcing that while trying to drive down the road should go well. My kids are young enough to still be learning impulse control.
As always, thanks Jose. Rivian - here’s some feedback for you. Please start providing more substantial new features and functions in your updates. You’ve dropped a couple nice one’s this year, but not even close to the pace that was promised late last year. Particularly with the reliability of Tesla superchargers that are coming online, charger ratings are much less relevant now. Already have what I care about most - availability, charging speed and price (either native in Rivian or via a phone app). You need to come out with updates that will help sell cars and these don't move the needle.
Wait, so when you lock the rear screen they cannot even turn on their cabin lights? That doesn't make sense. When you lock the screen, they should be able to turn on their lights and maybe even adjust the heated seats.
Correct, as of right now it locks all functions
@@riviantrackr here's hoping for an update. Cause locking everything out is downright silly.
What if you don't want the rear passenger to mess with the rear screen at all?? I agree that their should be a third option but there are a lot of scenarios (kids) where you don't want them to have any controls at all.
Well, the way the second row lights work in my R1S (prior to this update) is that all you have to do is tap on the light itself and the individual light turns on. Tap again, turns off. Currently (prior to this update) you can lock the back display. I have no need for that so I don't know if I locked the screen if that would affect manually turning on/off the 2nd row lights, though I highly doubt it. As such, it would be silly if Rivian took away the manual turning on/off the 2nd row lights just because the rear display screen was locked.
They can still do that by touching the lights.
Need entertainment in the rear like the Tesla for the kiddos
Agreed! It’s in the pipeline just not soon enough
When do you think the rest of us will get it?
One week
New update is being installed, as I type here.
@@sreekanths2140 same here
Apple should buy Rivian.
Unfortunately Apple no longer does what’s best for the customer but what’s best for Apple. They have too much of a monopoly already. The last thing we want is apple getting into other markets.
