Happy to see you included the regional adaptation effect. Very important component. 👍

Thank you! It’s honestly one of the best reasons to save seeds, if you ask me! It’s so vital to save well adapted seeds, especially given the changing climate. I’ve been testing many of my high desert seeds here in the Pacific Northwest now that the summers are getting drier and hotter. It’s been interesting and I’m looking forward to seeing how they do over the years.

Yes! Actually I’ll be sharing a bunch of seed saving videos this year! To make them easily digestible, I’ll be sharing them one type of plant at a time - Starting with a video on saving onion seeds which will be posted next week! 😃

This was the first year my green onion ever made it to seed, it was so cool to see!

I cut 2 onion blossoms off yesterday that had the round beads on the head. So I assume the seeds will be in them. Never have saved them before, so excited to eventually open them to see the seeds. Lorraine

Oh that's awesome! Yes, the seeds develop inside the flowering heads. I actually have a full video on onion seed harvesting coming next week (on Tuesday). It will help walk you through the full process of harvesting the seeds! 😁

Saved a few sunflower heads from last year, I got hundreds of seedlings and the slugs ate 99% 😂 b'stards!!
    But...
A few survived, safety in numbers.

That is a fantastic point! And a great reason to save more seeds! Plan for abundance and redundancy! 👏🏼
