Just a recap: buying a used car is always a risk, so make sure you always have extra money on the side for any repairs that you may have to pay for and do your research before buying! Always ask for the CARFAX! I did, but there weren’t any reported issues on the report.

I’m very happy for you! I’m on my road to getting my own car, I have a good amount saved. My only problem is I’m too busy trying to get the newest or 2018-2020 car when I really just can’t afford it. I’ll be saving forever if I keep that mind set but hey lol congrats tho

I'm gonna get a car soon!! My mom said to pay it in cash, just so you only have to pay for insurance, I'm getting my license this month!!! I think my mom's buying my first car (that's what she said she was doing) I started thinking realistically about my first car bc I wanted a new 2020 car that I don't have money for 😂, I'm thinking about asking for a Chevy Malibu 2013/2014 or a Hyundai.

I got my used Chevy Cruze and like the fourth day having it the engine light came on I was like 😳😳😳 luckily it was a small part covered by the Chevy warranty so I didn’t even have to pay and I had a free diagnostic done so I could find out everything that was wrong with my car (to get everything fixed in my car it’s 2300 but it’s not major stuff so I can get it done over time) I still love my baby tho

Given my experience, I would try to save up at least $8,000. Mine was in the 8k-9k range. But there are definitely cars cheaper than that. I found plenty that were around $6999. It also depends on the year and mileage. Try looking at different auto sales places, not the raggedy looking ones but the ones that look decent. Another option is looking at dealerships on the "Certified Pre-Owned" side. Some dealerships have good cars that may even have a warranty on them but those can be pricey sometimes depending on what the year and mileage is.
(Also remember that you should add at least $500 to the price that you initially see on a car due to the taxes and extra fees like tags and your plate. So a car that is $6,999 will more than likely be around $7,500 after all of the fees)

@@naledims9082 I just got my car for $2000. If you have to go cheap look on marketplace. It might take a while to find a good one but definitely worth it. Just bring a mechanic with you to check out the car. Mechanics will come if you pay them a little bit. I got a similar car to the girl in the video for reference with low miles. I hoped this helped.
I'm late but congrats on buying a USED CAR because a new car will cost alot more in insurance, it will still have problems. Having a car is a machine it will always break down but just always keep a amount of $ for repairs. Again atleast you can sleep in peace at night not having a car payment!
10:000 hondas last to 300k easy not every car must be under 100k, the majority of people will be broke and buy a 16 year old car, nothing wrong with over 100k miles unless its a ford or some shit

I got a used car, engine light came on 2nd day, i have 30 day warranty, guess where the car is now, at the dealer getting fixed...... they thought the light wouldn’t come on before warranty was up
I recommend you put some tape on your aux cord in the middle console for the times it gets yanked around (that's how I broke my aux port) Great car, take care of it and it'll take care of you.

you can buy a bluetooth car adapter so you don’t have to use aux it also has a car charger port attached to it. that’s what i got cause aux is very much ghetto when u got people in the back tryna get on it

Chileeeeee not even a few months after having my car my rotors went bad, my electrical stuff was glitching, my trunk button stopped working, etc. I have a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT, low mileage and the previous owner kept up with the maintenance so I was taken aback lmao but she’s been treating me good for 3 years now so I can’t complain. Congratulations on your purchase btw, nothing like getting something completely on your own 💖

I love my Chevy Malibu too! It doesn’t have blue tooth because it’s an LS mine is a Lt and it has a touch screen and Bluetooth music and flip up screen. I love love my Chevy! 😍✨✨
Im so sorry that happened to you 😢 that happened to my husbands top of the line 2015 Kia Optima and they refused to say it was a lemon at the Kia dealership so we had to trade it in early 😣 will never buy another Kia again 😪
Congratulations on your car girl!! I will say I highly recommend you get a little more versed on the car itself and any other common issues that model has. They charged you a huge chunk of money for something you could have probably fixed yourself if you were able to self diagnose. You’d be surprised at how many things go wrong in a car that you can fixed on your own, and with a used car, that skill is going to be the best thing for you so that you are not paying for repairs beyond the worth of the car. Trust me, I have a used car and learning to be my own mechanic for smaller issues has saved me literally thousands of dollars. Good luck boo!!
I did a lot of research on this situation and unfortunately, there was no true safe way to fix it on my own which is why i got it fixed! I wish tho! Thank youu

I have a 2012 Buick lacrosse and it does that too, it's nice to save gas but like they should've fixed that out the factory.
right, it seems like a lot of cars with this feature have this issue. if it's something that would mess up easily, then they shouldn't have even given cars this feature🤦🏽♀️

Some advice coming from a 2014 malibu owner. DO NOT BREAK,LOSE, OR GET WET the key fob remote. You cannot start the car if anything happens to it. Keep spare batteries for the remote because if it dies, you cannot drive. There is no way to bypass the security system that forces the remote to be working to start the car. I have lost my remote atleast 12 times and stranded at home. Very good car besides the remote

Hi! I was wondering how many miles should you look at when buying a used car? Like what’s TOO much miles for a used car you should lookout for
Me personally, I didn't want to get anything over 100k miles, so mine was around 80,000 something. (I was really trying to get below 80k but you have to think about the year the car is and if the mileage on it makes sense)
I also calculated on avg about how many miles the avg person drives in a year which was around 15,000 and then I looked at the year of the car and calculated it to see if the car had avg mileage for the the current year we were in.
I hope that makes sense + helps! But looking at the car fax is also very important!

I'm not sure, i think it just depends on the place and the car
different deealerships require a different percentage for the down payment. sometimes a high credit score can help you with securing a low down payment and low interest rate whereas a low credit score will make those variables higher. it really just depends on your financial situation and the specific dealership and car that you are planning to buy.

I have Chevy Cruz lt 2017 and it does a auto stop when I’m at a light and when I park I thought it was something wrong with my car at first I didn’t know mines have that feature
I see your engine light is on do it ever say engine reduced?
You can set it up for bluetooth for your music. You just have to rest the sync. I did it on my Ford Fusion.

yea theres different ways that i saw that weren't actually legit. i didn't want to mess with my car in ways like that. I've seen all of the videos though, I just preferred to actually get it fixed

I have a 2014 Chevy Malibu LTZ with the 2.5 Liter engine. It comes with the Bluetooth for music that I play from my phone and it can be used for calls. The screen is bigger and it's a touch screen. I also have the option on my key fob to turn the car on from the outside and the stop start scared me the first time as well. It's my second car and I've had it since August, it really is a beauty. Good fuel economy and smooth ride. I really hope you've been able to enjoy it so far.
I got a 2013 how is the car now ? My engine light is on but they said they going to fix it see why it’s coming on and also my radio stay on even when I open my car door
@@linnellbrooks5711 interesting. My radio turns off when I open the car door. I had a check engine light turn on because of the Intake Rocker Arm Control Valve Circuit. It cost about $500 to get it fixed with the dealer. My car just passed 88000 miles today
