Any issues with overheating? I live in Texas, and it gets might warm down here. And would I be silly trading my zx10r straight up for this? I love the idea of this bike as my track day weapon. And something to ride often to work and back. Not really a touring type guy, but work and track...
Joey Medina I haven't had any issues with overheating at all. Then again, I live in Michigan where the high has only been 62 the past few days. I got rid of a Buell XB12R for this and i'm very happy with it. It's not as quick obviously, but can hold it's own in the corners. I haven't taken it to a track yet, but it's right at home on my commute to work, back roads or interstate. It's great fun being able to wring it out and still be within legal limits. Slow bike fast and all that.
I've been looking into getting this bike a lot. Am asking anyone who is owned it how they feel after riding it for some time. Still feel good about it?
+Michael Gilman Still feel great about it. It has its quirks, but I wouldn't trade for another bike. Not as smooth as R3 or as fast as the bigger sportbikes, obviously, but man, is it fun to play around with. Would buy again.
I brought some small rubber grommets to stick in the holes left by removing the rear foot pegs.
Good idea. I thought of doing something similar but decided to go with my gut and keep the pegs on.

+Cory Edwards I'm 6"1 200 pounds, do you think someone my size is a little too big for it or is it comparable to other sport bikes?
I'm 6'1, 190 and have no problem with it. It's a physically smaller bike but not any more cramped than any supersport.
