Had some time this afternoon so thought I'd make a cover vid. I took audio as I performed it, but actually like the mic'd version more. also uploaded direct audio version
RC390 U.S. spec first thoughts

Here's a quick little peek and summary after my first ride on my new RC390. Didn't go into a whole lot of details. If there are any questions, let me know. Sorry about wind noise

Finally got around to setting up my camera and stuff. Wanted to check if the straight audio recording is any good. Seems like it'll suffice for a pinch.Just screwing around in this one.

This was just made as a quick video to show my friends the new bike. Sorry it doesn't contain a whole lot of useful info or more time with engine running.

Thought I would give my new guitar a whirl. Quick guitar cover of August Burns Red' "Meddler". Goofed in the solo, but meh.

    how well does this camera work for concerts and such? Any distortion?

    • @coryedwards6065
      @coryedwards6065 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had it at a concert so can't really say. I've used it a few times to record some loud guitar playing and there wasn't very noticeable distortion. Nothing on the level of live rock concert though.

    I've been looking into getting this bike a lot. Am asking anyone who is owned it how they feel after riding it for some time. Still feel good about it?

    • @coryedwards6065
      @coryedwards6065 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Michael Gilman Still feel great about it. It has its quirks, but I wouldn't trade for another bike. Not as smooth as R3 or as fast as the bigger sportbikes, obviously, but man, is it fun to play around with. Would buy again.

      +Cory Edwards I'm 6"1 200 pounds, do you think someone my size is a little too big for it or is it comparable to other sport bikes?

      @coryedwards6065 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm 6'1, 190 and have no problem with it. It's a physically smaller bike but not any more cramped than any supersport.

    I hate to correct you brother but having a Buell with a Drummer exhaust is not simply having a Buell with an exhaust that "a dude in a shed ripped stuff out of". Kevin Drum is a master craftsman, whom has dedicated his life's work to the performance of these motorcycles. You will find no better exhaust for these bikes; consider yourself lucky.

      woodlovesniki You would be correct! It is a fantastic piece of workmanship. Of course no disrespect was meant by my offhanded comment. I was going through a Top Gear marathon about the time I recorded this and one remark is "built by a man in a shed" or something like that when referring to small in-house creations so it just kinda came out. Kevin does some amazing work with those exhausts, especially the SS with EBR race ECM combo.

      +woodlovesniki What are you talking about master craftsmen? This version of the Drummer is literally the stock exhaust gutted and then filled with muffler packing.

      Jesus Benavidez The Drummer SS however, now I may be inclined to call that master craftsmanship.

      Roy Batty That's what I have in my 03 xb9r and I couldn't picture that bike without it it's perfect👌

    Any issues with overheating? I live in Texas, and it gets might warm down here. And would I be silly trading my zx10r straight up for this? I love the idea of this bike as my track day weapon. And something to ride often to work and back. Not really a touring type guy, but work and track...

    • @coryedwards6065
      @coryedwards6065 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joey Medina I haven't had any issues with overheating at all. Then again, I live in Michigan where the high has only been 62 the past few days. I got rid of a Buell XB12R for this and i'm very happy with it. It's not as quick obviously, but can hold it's own in the corners. I haven't taken it to a track yet, but it's right at home on my commute to work, back roads or interstate. It's great fun being able to wring it out and still be within legal limits. Slow bike fast and all that.

    I brought some small rubber grommets to stick in the holes left by removing the rear foot pegs.

      Good idea. I thought of doing something similar but decided to go with my gut and keep the pegs on.
