One other point - the platinum purchase options vs the bundle/skin prices is a predatory practice. They price things such that you have to buy more plat than you need because the plat cost of the item is between the quantities of plat you get when you purchase it.
I would have spent easily $50 by now purchasing different things, but instead I have spent $0 so far because I think the prices are ridiculous
Yeah just not worth it the average consumer can’t afford to spend the outlandish prices.
@@raymondjimenez1753 I can definitely spend the $50 but I also can buy 2 AAA games On discount for that much money or one AAA game that's new or so. Is literally a game on Beta, so your purchase might be worthless in a few months

10-15% drop is wild bro. They need to cut all prices in half. I spend money on every game but I refuse to spend $20 on this game plus skins make you look lame because everyone knows you spend $25 on a single skin
So for us that plays, we have 80-180k amber and NOTHING to spend it on.
i think you should be able to buy everything with Amber, cuz they do need people to keep playing the game.

I use Amber to unlock the new heroes they release. Most recently unlocked Aurora with it
Glad more players r bringing this because monetization is terrible. I get this company is brand new and completely off the ground... I want to support it but, prices are not at all reasonable in my opinion. And the game should have a reward login system, either xp boosters, amber(small amount), free sprays or emotes after a 30 day login.
I say making at least common skins available to buy w amber would go a long way
they go the smite route, 15 dollars all current and future heroes with 1 '' simple'' free skin per hero done. everyone would pay it massive influx of money and then change the affinity stuff and grind or get xp unlocks for free with ingame grinding
Overprime had better quality skins for cheaper. It was awesome.

Yeah, and the wildest thing is that they had bad prices the first week's or first month's, players complained and Overprime re-structured their prices and offered good pricing from there on. And that having Netmarble in the background

Some takes I be like ehhh but this is 100% agreeable Krashy. Give us a choice of what to spend money on. Literally would make more money if they gave players the choice to buy things separate and made bundles cheaper.
They claimed they haven't made the option to do that on the backend yet. But it's BS because I don't think it's hard to make another few tabs in the store. I want the game to survive and want to support but y'all not getting $54 out of me for some shit I don't want.
50 games in with Khaimera and still 1 level away from the Affinity Master Skin, if you aren't paying be ready to grind
Never forget they wanted to charge us for mastery skins if it weren't for community outrage. Of course there's nothing to spend Amber on outside of heroes. $50+ bundles in a beta is absolutely ridiculous. Why are recolors of these skins even in required bundles? If the Belica skin is already the equivalent of $24, why does it not just include the two recolors as well? That is so much more value at an already steep price point. Omeda is greedy
This is part of the reason I gave up on Overwatch 2 after a good bit of play. Really fun gameplay... but virtually all the skins were paywalled and anything you could earn for free was shit you didn't care about.
100% agree with everything you said. If you look at the Discord feedback section there are tons of people sharing the same views as you and the devs completely ignore it. Iv only ever seen devs comment when they are being "attacked". They rave on how they got a team of 80 but feels like its either a team of 80 newbies with 0 experience OR its actually a team of 2. They have gone back on a lot of things they've said and are losing players. The community is getting frustrated and rightfully so. I personally will not spend a single cent as i have 0 trust or respect for them right now. If they prove me wrong, sure, ill happily spend money to support them, but right now its not there. I find myself playing less and less lately
They are not experienced enough developers. And/or not talented enough. It's been clear since mid last year. They are doing EVERYTHING possible outside of actually making large changes. Changing numbers. Stats. Item percentages. The map has been largely the same exact map for over a year. When it absolutely needs to be changed.
Brawl is a poorly though out, unbalanced mess of little creativity. The Omeda original heroes are too. So much potential. But nothing unique.
Good players do not equal good developers. Occasionally sure. But they don't exist in parallel.
Omeda developers are existing on the premade assets. And the fact that standard Moba rules have existed for over a decade. They liberally pull ideas and mechanics straight from League of Legends.

It's ironic that they have been looking for someone for marketing and the community that 99% of us don't have a degree in can easily fix these issues. I've even made a reddit post on how pricing should be and bundle vs the cost and profit margins would be higher if the skin was $20 and the bundle was $30. Than I added in make affinity pass grind able than if a hero is purchased with plat it automatically comes with the boost. I also mentioned making common skins grindable too if they aren't a new hero. (New being past 6months)

Instead of any kind of a deal it just holds stuff hostage and charges you more for stuff you don’t want it is absolutely awful
Omeda did right by players in the past when they lowered skin prices, offering Plat refunds to those who paid a premium price before the reductions. I'm hopeful should people choose to pay these insane prices now that they will receive plat refunds should prices come down.
I remember how grossed out ai was when I saw that you have to purchase Affinity for each character instead of a simple battle pass
100% agreed. If the prices were cheaper then I'd have spent money on the game. So far, all I have spent is my starting platinum from buying into early access, since then, the prices don't seem worth the content given. Whilst I understand OverPrime died, their skins were fantastic for their price point. If Pred had OP content in it, it would have probably rinsed me for at least £100 by now lol.

Soooo...I am quite new to Pred (~ 1 month and 75 Games) and while I think the monetization is a problem, it is a minor one and the focus should be elsewhere. I will open a new point, because it seems that my following problem doesn't get as much attention on TH-cam at least that it should get. Why? Skins are mostly a thing for players, who have already played a lot. The skins don't interest me or any friend that I am playing with. We still "explore" the game and the expensive skins where just a side note. Pred has to opt, to keep new players interested and this doesn't function over skins. It's about the feeling of the game itself. That a win is feeling rewarding and a loss is about: Damn, sad but close. Most people will now know, what this is about: The match-making. In my experience when it comes to Preds match-making, it is more like a side note and not a point that is discussed a lot. But the critics focus should definetly lay on it. My experience the last days when I played it, was hilarious. Out of 15-20 Games, 10 were complete stomps...either from my team or from the enemies. All the time I had reasonable stats. In the lost games I didn't feed (Jgl/Offlane) but I also couldn't do much when the kill count was 10:1 after 10 minutes, in the won games I sometimes was fed but not all the time. 2 times I also was just vibing/playing farming simulator. I also don't want to blame my teammates because I don't think that it's their problem, because maybe they are also new to the game and that's fine, but the match making system is just so utterly bad that it realy killed my fun. My friend convinced me 2 hours ago to play another 2 games with him...guess what: One stomp from the enemy side, one from our side. Both games didn't feel rewarding at all...was almost boring because the game was over at minute 10. And I don't know about you, but I only got this rating pop-up about fairness and enojoyment after fair games and also just in the beginning last week. Never ever have I got it after a stomp won or lost. But yeah that's about my rant. I don't feel like this topic is getting as much attention as it should, but I am also just new and only know 2 creators where I am watching their videos now and then. Would appreciate your opinions! Keep that in mind, most of the skins were seen back in Paragon 2018. Plus most of the skins released in Pred doesn’t have new styles. Yes, I really want to support Omeda Studios for bringing this awesome game back to life . But not in this way . They must bring new skins ideas with reasonable price . Then, I would buy more than a skin in each hero.
Honestly, I think its going to hurt their bottom line in the long run..... I am middle aged and don't mind spending money on games as long as I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. The prices are so bad in Pred that I just dont bother. If they would lower their prices they would get significantly more money from people like me. Feels really short sighted for long term revenue.....

If these bundles were half the price I'd buys some. I'd just feel like a chump at these prices. That Belica bundle should be like $16.
So far i didn't buy anything from Predecessor I'm lvl 50+, skins i want i can't buy any more, and some of the skins are not as cool, i want more skins for Khaimera, but on Paragon you could unlock more by just playing, and i had fun playing it, so i did spend like 100$ on it, but they refunded all the money back cuz they focused on Fortnite and killed the game.
I agree. I purchased the game in early access multiple times to gift to friends but I refuse to spend money on the skins at these price points on principle. RGSACE told us to vote woth out wallets, aftes all. If I could buy the skins I want for $5-10 a pop, I'd buy damn near all of them

Selling a $50 skin 5 times vs. selling a $10 skin 50 times. A tale as old as time with f2p games and their pricing. I know they have bills to pay and a studio to fund but i sometimes feel like they miss this point and could net them more profit. Obviously i don't know their costs but if you could push more volume with lower pricing why wouldn't you? I don't see many people with skins let alone the really pricey ones.
The consumer is going to feel better and be more inclined to spend money when they are getting high quality assets and they don't feel like they are getting shafted on pricing. You need to make them feel like they win so to speak.
That aside the way you have to buy platinum and the breakpoint in cost of assets vs how much currency you can purchase is really really shitty and it is very specifically set up that way to make you spend more than you need.
i remember when ppl where saying they would be glad if somebody makes the game great again and that they would pay a lot too keep it growing... and now we´re here

Consistently missing the mark indicates to me that it’s intentional. Maybe not cash grab but I think saying they are just figuring it out still gives omeda too much credit especially considering their track record thus far

Prices are cooked on this game I shouldn't have to spend $75 aus to choose the belica skin I want I'd easily pay $15 just for the purple one same thing with the ascension sparrow skin I want it guess what can't get it unless I buy the bundle game is no where near good enough to justify these prices, this is coming from a guy who doesn't mind swiping the card for cosmetics
