good video. may i suggest using a breaker bar, rather than your torque wrench to undo your wheel bolts. and maybe not wearing a suit when doing the dirty work =)

Good morning from Athens - Greece. I have a 2006 BMW E90 316i with 90,000 km very well maintained. Thank you for your viewing. I replaced the pump with a new one but it doesn't work - it doesn't throw water. All Insurances are good ok. The windshield wipers work normally. What do you think the problem is? Thank you.

      1. Check the fluid level: Make sure there is enough windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. If it's empty, fill it up and try again.
      2. Check the washer pump: The washer pump is responsible for spraying the fluid onto the windshield. If the pump is faulty, it won't work. You can test the pump by trying to spray the windshield while someone listens for a humming noise. If there is no noise, the pump may need to be replaced.
      3. Check the washer nozzles: The nozzles that spray the fluid onto the windshield could be clogged or blocked. You can use a needle or a small pin to clear any blockages in the nozzles.
      4. Check the windshield wiper stalk: A faulty windshield wiper stalk can also be the cause of the windshield washer not working. The wiper stalk houses the switch that controls the windshield washer pump. If the switch is faulty or not making proper contact, the windshield washer may not work.
If your BMW is equipped with a rain sensor, you can try using the rain sensor button to test the windshield washer. The rain sensor is located on the windshield and controls the automatic wiper function. The rain sensor button is usually located on the wiper stalk.
To test the windshield washer using the rain sensor button, follow these steps:
Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
Press the rain sensor button on the wiper stalk. This will activate the automatic wiper function.
This should activate the windshield washer pump and spray washer fluid onto the windshield.
If the windshield washer does not work when using the rain sensor button, it suggests that there may be an issue with the wiper stalk. Replace the stalk or BMW Combination Switch/Spring Clock.
      5. Check the fuse: A blown fuse can also cause the windshield washer to stop working. You can check the fuse box and look for the fuse related to the windshield washer.
      6. Check the wiring: There could be an issue with the wiring that connects to the washer pump or the switch. Check for any loose or damaged wires.

is there a filter in this system? I can hear the pump running but no fluid coming out.

There isn't a filter in the car's windshield wiper system. First, make sure the motor is actually spinning; worn seals might cause air leakage, which can result in insufficient suction, hence no fluid spraying. Then, check if the water pipe is blocked.

Thanks. I was able to fix mine by disconnecting the tube under the hood and blowing air through the windshield nozzles AND blowing air backwards through the tube back into the pump and tank. I figured it must have been a blockage because I could hear the pump running, just nothing was coming out. Easiest fix I have ever done on my 2008 in my 14 years of ownership.@@taoli1239
