  • Part 2 of the restoration of a 1977 Mini Moke bought for $500. With the engine due back from the machine shop in 6 weeks, we had a deadline to restore the bodywork and repaint. It only took us two years to complete the body work of our last project (my Mini), so no pressure! As always, we discovered more issues with the body than expected. The body was rusting from the inside out in places where damage had been (poorly) repaired and despite it's mostly flat surfaces, there were dents and ugly welds hidden all over. We sanded and sanded and sanded, then bogged and sanded, then did some undercoat, then sanded some more and again when we weren't happy with the finish. In the end, she came up alright. She's now a bright, shining yellow and ready to become a car again. #TheYellowRAW

Very nice work - great attention to detail & no corner cutting.

If you use white as a first coat , your yellow will cover a lot easier , great work

Some viewers are so stingy! All those views, yet so few likes. Personally, I thought this was a great video and a fantastic paint job. Well done!
