- Jeff's Mini Moke is awesome. He thrashed it at the Driveway Austin, and took me for a ride.

We owned one of these little suckers for 10 years. Never let us down, no rust. Traded it in when child 3 arrived. Ours was a '75 model, slightly wider & larger 13" wheels....
They are a riot
these we used in the Caribbean as car rentals to tourist in the 70's
So cool , that made my day ..! what a fun car & it held thru the turns well. The back wheel got off the ground ! Nice
In Australia, every newsagent had one, the perfect car for delivering paper and magazines, east to throw them out of either side and heaps of space. There used to be a guy in a large (for Australia) country (regional - i don't want to get into trouble here) town called Toowoomba, I think he made custom refrigeration. Anyhow, he used to get rusted out "tubs" remove the compliance plate and build a complete new 316 stainless tub around the compliance plate. I remember seeing all sorts of fun mokes, shortened ones, long ones, 6 wheelers, etc, I am pretty sure it was the same guy who made them.
About half of the original mokes were made in Australia
They are strong due to the box section monocoque tub.
The perfect car for honeycomb aluminium or carbon fibre "tub" construction.
They are always noisy, the gearbox is in the sump (same as a standard classic mini), so thin oil which did not lend itself to quiet operation. Straight cut gears would be more suitable for this arrangement but as shown noisier. It looks like it is still a standard H pattern, synchro?
The early Mokes till about 1973 used a type of universal joint as the inner joint on the drive shaft, these were also noisy, after 1973 they changed to CV joints.
The later Australian ones were fitted with 13 inch wheels, much better.
Very cool
How is that thing track legal without a Roll cage?
Looks like an absolute blast, I'm adding this thing to my wish list
I remember seeing this car when it was at Jet Motors in Portland Oregon. Sweet ride!
I love the Gulf livery. I want to do it to my Moke as well... 😍
Used to see loads of these when I was growing up.
Can’t beat a bit of British inventiveness!
Daniel Hurlbert the Bond Bug was another... very weird !
Daniel Hurlbert google is your friend Dan !
And Greek Alec Issigonis of course!

Strangest looking 430 I've ever seen, but hey I bet his exhaust valves don't seize! lol keep up the good work Dan!
I own a 74 model moke, been restoring it , it goes in for paint over this weekend , cant wait to finnish it and drive, i own a zx14 street bike which is insanely fast , but these things are a completly different thing just plain fun and giggles , people love them , there is still a few of them getting around here in Australia, but they are getting rare
Smiles and giggles for sure! It's fun in a totally unique way.
The Gulf Porsche colours make any car look 100% cooler.
Accurate!
Be nice to Sr you take us for a ride on one of those power trikes!
Looking forward to a Meg and mini update video.
Any chance of seeing what the track times some of the cars in The video were doing?
Been liking the vids...hope it gets back to being fun for you. Sometimes a little break is good for the soul.
Most fun car I have ever driven.
I do not understand why no manufacturer picked up this model and made it into a basic electric car.
Just a car on a battery. No fancy crap.
Although a hard top and fixed doors should be an option.
It's a crazy little thing
Ever time I see those, I think of that T.V. series The Prisoner.
+Rakatawhat I've never seen that show.
I worked on the building Tilbury docks they had a fleet of these for people to move around the site
That's not a bad idea. Scoot around and doesn't take up much space.
I have a question! Could you take this out on the golf course?...that would be a blast!!
My dad had a few mokes when I was growing up, but nothing like this.... holy hell, that thing’s a monster
Haha right? It's hilariously awesome
It hit 60 on the first straight!!!!
I'm pretty sure that car is faster than my Camaro. I would so drive drive that as a daily.
Lol. Cool!!!
Too cool!! Those wheels!!! Probably feels twice as fast as it is. Goes good!! Too fun!!
What's the story behind the front plate
M-Parts in the UK will sell you a body shell.
There we go.
Normal Guy Supercar www.m-parts.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=37
Driving it in a Mini skirt would be no Moke!
Are those street legal in the U.S.? And whats the average cost...
They’ve sold on Bring A Trailer between $10k & $40k.
Yes on street legal. Ours is.
I knew they existed, just not in the US.
The Sock Monkey! We have a ‘79 Leyland Moke that’s LHD & was sold here in the USA.
You have NEVER heard of a Moke?? Not a car guy are you.
Please,Revive this model in the Philippines..
I'm not sure that's in my control
May Mini Moke ba dito sa Pinas?
roll cage?
Naaaa.
Never happen to me right?
Joker. Go karts have a lower centre of gravity and close to zero roll.
In fact there was also version with fabric roof which had something like roll cage.
No big problem to make one.
The telephone

I have a '67 original moke that was my grandmother's. I just dumped $10 K into it, roll cage, engine rebuild, new electrics, etc. Mine will run 70-80 mph. This one here is a death trap. no reason to wear a helmet becasue if it flips your'e dead.
Ok
Lol that's the point
