To answer your question Lol Hounds.
Heat engager is only +1 on block with a lot of pushback and only about +2 or 3 on hit which isn't a lot so opponents can challenge with fast attacks
-1 on block, +1 on hit
and to add, they are usually punishing you with a quick jab or something close, since bear wind fist is 15 frames at the fastest, anything thats around 10-13 frames beats you even on heat burst hits

kuma used to be my main, in the old games at least he was so insanely simple to play, big combos with zero execution and even his regular hits come out fast and hit really hard.

Tried Kuma for the first time yesterday, and I gotta say he’s probably my soul main. All they had to do was make Kuma a true Mishima and give him electrics and I was hooked.
I mean, you can do "charged electric x3 > electric > Heat Smash”, and it’ll do over half your opponent’s health. This bear is too powerful.

The more you play fighting games the quicker you get at learning those sorts of things. You either can just learn an easier combo if you dont have the time or just stick with it. There is no rush in learning it because once you get the muscle memory then you will start doing it in your sleep.

I suspect the reason you weren’t plus after heat engaged is because there’s not enough plus frames to do kuma electric after it. Kumas electric is 15 frames and can be beaten by a faster move after heat engager.

I would argue that Fighter to Eliminator are beginners, Garyu to Batte Ruler is intermediate, Fujin to Tekken Emperor is good players, and Tekken God to Lord of Destruction is pro players. Although certain characters definitely carried people way past their rank.
