In this video I am going to go on about how less mist step and sway mechanics work to give you a better idea of timing an how exactlee this move functions. I stream @ / etherealomni

I main Jack, whose combos are pretty straightforward and I could do without even looking at the screen. Always liked Lee in Tekken 4 and wanted to pick him back up. Didn’t realize all the execution tricks required to do his combos. Your vid answered a lot for me 👊
Bro! i have been looking all over the net for a video on this specific move. I can do it from time to time but i constantly drop it which annoys me. Been a Lee main since Tekken Tag, I'm not the best but i don't ever watch videos or tutorials until tekken 8. Great video man
I really appreciate that. I hear your struggle, I do. I've been playing heavily since T6, and I still drop it too. It's just one of those things, man. Can't do it 100%, but you can get close!
Back in T6, I learned the timing for Lee's b+2~f is by looking at his left knee... when his left knee bends from mist step that's when I hit b+2. so by the time TTT2 came, his b+2~f combo becomes a 2nd nature to me. also when you're playing on lever like me, expect your combo to drop as lever has less accuracy than pad or hitbox/mixbox.
Absolutely, give your self time to learn how to use the tool first and foremost, I remember when I was learning stick I was so mad cause I could barely link a B2f. It definitely takes time on both ends, for the character and the controller type.
Hey man first off I love the content. Quality stuff! I had a pretty specific question on a WS route that seems to give me issues with consistency. Kind of a specific and wordy example. Is there a direct message or inbox route I could use to be a bit more specific? Great video!
You can hit me on discord at EtherealOmni. I would prefer it asked here so that way if anyone else has the same question, that info would be readily available for them.
@@EtherealOmni Your preference is most important! Bare with me on the wordiness, as it is kind of niche, but the combo I've started to use is B4 into 4U3, B2, Mist Step 1, 2 into another MS 1,2 followed by Heat Engager (ws2,3, run up, bb4, ff3, another ff3 if willing to burn heat dash). It's a staple I've used for a while now that usually nets me near 90 damage. For some reason, about 50 percent of the time the second 1,2 wont go through and the combo drops (pain). I have practiced this combo an embarrassingly large amount of times, but it's started to happen more often. The 1 registers, but the 2 doesn't and I'll end up with this weird MS 1 into Hitman stance. The Input history doesn't seem to look any different, so I'm really unsure of what I'm doing wrong. Again, I apologize for the lengthiness, but thank you so much for your timely response!
th-cam.com/video/3VLe0XBaoHQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WOSnEgRfq2QgNVOU I made a video to better show the issue. First combo being the correct one and then the dropped version. Hope this helps.
@@victorycalls4179 From the looks of it, you are inputting the commands at pretty much the same time. So instead of getting WS1,2. You are getting WS1+2. Now, I am assuming this but I suggesting giving that a shot. Do the combo and on the second ws1,2. Try WS1+2, 2 ad see if that clears it up. But from what I can see you are hitting 1+2 and that will give you Ws1.
thank the gods for you thank you sir... I couldnt take it I was panicing and just couldnt figure this shit out..I was mashing button slamming controller reading religious scriptures and everything.. my family almost left me my woman said if I could do mist is back12 shed leave me and take the kids.. But thanks to you my family is happy and I once can move forward in training.. You sir are a life saver!!!!!!!
Ya love to see it. Glad I could patch your patch and give you a second chance at life. I too had a girlfriend who left me when she found out I couldn't B2f~. But then, I could and now I'm unstoppable.
just recently started using lee and i kind of got his sway down but when i do the back neutral 1 2 or 2 3 it just does a normal standing 1 or 2 and i dont get why am i pressing back too early late idk?
So, in this instance, you wanna press it the same way you would do a while standing move, so for that, you would hold down. Then, as soon as you let go, you do your input. It's the same here. Tap back, and as soon as you let your finger off back, press 23. To answer you though, your 1, 2, or 3 are coming out too late, yes.
I’ll sit with this video for a while first before I count myself out but on a casual just trying it a few times , right after the first loop I’m Done. My input is to slow n I feel like I’m unintentionally mashing it out
@@Len_Villain Don't beat yourself up, it's all practice. Give yourself some time. I've been playing for over a decade and I still fail this move from time to time. Just gotta let your hands feel the rhythm.
As a new Lee main going into T8 your videos have been phenomenal! Thanks

Thank you so much - so hard to find content explaining this to new players online 🎉

Very good to know, thank you!
Lever is fun as shit though
@HeartPliz Oh this is without a doubt the best Lee we've had since Tekken 6!
I learned this in T6 but after fighting so many Lees in T8, I’m wondering why I haven’t been seeing it at all.
thank you so much! The way you've explained made everything more clear in my head
I am so glad I could help. It was genuinely a challenge racking my brain on how to explain everything without leaving out the...small stuff.
im building a flatbox as soon as i get that imma lock in on my lee and get the hard stuff down, thanks for the resource goat

Excellent tips!
New to tekken as a whole started with jun so im going for a harder challenge imma study this whole channel and other guides trust the process
His pose in the thumbnail is wild!
