Hi Jose! Good morning. This is C. S. Roy from Kolkata, India. I'm going to have L Vannamei and P Monodon culture in 5 hectares water area. I gather knowledge and writing note in diary from different TH-cam videos including yours. I really like your lecture. I would really be happy to get your support and suggestions during my culture period. Although I get most of my questions answered from your videos. Still if I need something more than how could I get you in touch. Please send me some guidance.. By profession I'm a teacher. Fish culture is my passion and I want to support my local farmers in this. Thanks....
hi , i am a hongkong farmer who is farming shrimp in gd. It is hard to get sodium nitrate as it is not common fertilizer. Can i replace it with calcium nitrate , mg nitrate , K nitrate , Ammonium nitrate ? And will you talk more about the ion management of open pond biofloc system in future. thx
Hi Patrick, yes you can replace with othe Nitrate, probably not Ammonium Nitrate as it is explosive and highly regulated. Calcium Nitrate is good but mat come with 1% ammonia. K Nitrate a bit more expensive but good if you don't use seawater as K is limiting in inland waters. I can consult if you like. We are also planning a short course on shrimp if you are interested
@@joseantoniosantosdom thank you very much. then i can use k nitrate as they need K in fresh water. and my experimental biofloc open pond is about 1700m2 with 1.7m depth 4ppt unlined a3 venturi injector with 4kw x 2 (x4 in future) under water pumps 18kw inverter for the pumps planning of 300000 fast growing seeds 3m3 settling tank 1m3x2 em tanks Do you have any suggestion on density , ion and management of these unlined pond? do i need extra shielding of sunlight ? will i have big problem with the unlined pond ?
Greeting, thank you, your presentations are the best. I am raising shrimp in New York area,
