I love this color story but I completely agree with you about the darkest shade. I feel like most people like the deepening shades to be matte, so I’m not really sure why companies are making them shimmers. It’s definitely a letdown for me because if it wasn’t for that, I would have no reservations about picking this up. I’ll probably end up getting it anyway though lol.
I was thinking I really didn’t want this palette but now I’m rethinking it lol. That first look was SOOOO pretty! Like forest fairy vibes!
i think i’m the only person that’s never owned an abh palette, and it’s not that i never wanted one, it’s just that they were always so pricey for me in my situation. i’ve played with my friend’s sultry palette and instantly fell in love with it, but then they discontinued it and i couldn’t get it. i reallllly like this palette. i loveeee the color story. and yes, i wish that the deepest shade wasn’t a shimmer, but i can just grab a chocolate brown single shadow. i think both looks you created were STUNNING and i think the purple blush looked so pretty on you!!! i’m going to get this palette whenever a sale comes around. i just have to. 💚💚💚
I love the greens in this palette! This is a great palette for them to come out with after not having a new one in awhile.

Obsessed with both smokey looks you created!! But I find it frustrating that they put pressed pigments in a palette that aren't meant for the eyes and i totally agree with you on the darkest shade! It absolutely should be a matte!! Love the color story but I don't think I necessarily need it. Thanks for the video!!!

I Think the best Anastasia formulas and color story’s are in the Norvina pro palettes their absolutely beautiful and long lasting the formulas in those palettes are everything
Those are mostly pressed pigments so this would be a similar formula :) I have the vol. 4
So I know this isn’t totally doable or practical but this palette and the rose metals palette work together beautifully. This one’s more day and the rose metals is definitely darker and more evening. BUT to darker up the daytime the other palate works great. It just sucks that you’d have to buy both to have more versatile looks. But I will say I love both. Her formula just works well with my hooded oily lids.

You're the first one to say anything about how it is a different shape that definitely makes me wonder if I should add it to my collection or not cuz it won't fit in perfectly but it could always sit in front I don't know

There's a Melt cosmetics palette with similar colors I can't remember the name. I used my ABH palette first time today and it's my dream palette. They nailed this one even without a matte brown

I picked this one up. My love for the feels of the past got me!! I have an olive yellow undertone. I use 2n2 Esteelauder. It really blends into my skin the I cant see the violet shade on me but its pretty. I regret my purchase I feel its powdery and that's normal for ABH but. I only like a few shades, SAME needs a matte brown..

Love your eye looks
These colors look beautiful on you. Looks like a beautiful palette. Wouldn’t spend that much because I have sensitive skin and never know how I’m gonna do with certain products.
I like the ABH formula, and it’s a work friendly color story, but at this price point, I can definitely dupe it. Have you picked up the Blend Bunny palettes? Probably my overall favorite formula and very affordable. I’d love to see you do some Dollhouse looks!

The palette packaging reminds me of the ABH Riviera palette. I can’t find my riviera palette so I don’t know for sure, but it reminds me of how that one felt.

Ok when I first saw this palette I thought love it but the pale purple killed it for me. Then you had and go and make it make sense with that beautiful eye look! 😂(Both looks were stunning btw💛) and I’m with you on the brown shade
This palette is SO GORGEOUS. I swatched it inside Sephora...omg the shades are so creamy and pigmented...especially the shimmers. I cant buy it now but i def am in the future 💚

Matte deepening shades are a must! I sometimes do use shimmers, but I prefer mattes

I haven't seen anyone compare it to the ND mini retro palette. I would love to see that comparison. IMO, the ABH palette is what everyone wanted from ND and then got that pinky palette instead. 🤷♀️

The Stila The camouflage palette which I tried so hard to get a TJ Maxx but it was always broken.

Agree, the darkest shade needs to be matte.
Shimmers in the outer corner tend to almost overblend / blow out on me, even having a deep matte as a base helps control the blend for me. So dark mattes are a necessity.
Ya know this made me realize, ABH palettes in general are usually way more matte heavy,mor at least balanced more evenly. Where this seems very shimmer heavy ….I didn’t see that when first looking at it.

I thought of the tiny marvel when I saw this one too.
I picked this up because I love a green palette. I swatched it out next to the Natasha Denona mini retro, mini zendo, Huda Khaki Haze, and Nars Climax. There are serious dupes among ALL those palettes. I have no regrets picking this up because I love green and there is a bigger variety of green shimmers in here. But if someone doesn't want duplicates and has those other palettes, I'd consider skipping this one.
I think at this point any palette can be duplicated but it’s fun to try out different brands and formulas.
Thanks for mentioning that. I was curious about similar looks with the Nars Climax or any ND palettes.
@@kyliemac02 Nars Climax is very similar. Just less green selection, and no bright pop of coral, purple or the peacock shade. If you have the two ND minis, the only thing you're missing is the purple and the peacock shade. I seriously did not NEED this palette....but I'm so happy to have it lol. The lili shade is soooo beautiful - and having all those greens in one place is divine. I kind of wish the bone shade was another green matte.

It’s so pretty but I just can’t 😞. So many palettes lol.
I thought long and hard about this palette. I don’t have many, maybe 5 or 6, and my favorite singles (Urban Decay) seem to have changed their formula and no longer thrill me….so anyway, decided to get it, and have no regrets. Usually there are at least three colors I will not wear, in this one there is only only the orangish “Metro,” and I love the soft green shimmers, don’t have any other palettes with those shades. And the duo-chrome shade is a nice touch. I don’t mind the shimmer in the darkest color, since I mostly use them as liners….though that shade is in a lot of palettes, I didn’t really need it.
But wait a minute….what do you mean about “not eye safe colors” ?!!? This is an eyeshadow palette. Why would they put in shades you can’t use on your eyes?
It’s usually a pressed pigment which have the super pigmentation that people want in their shadows but can sometimes cause staining on the lids. They have to state this for legal reasons but it’s usually not a huge issue
The palette reminds me of the Nars Climax.
I definitely want this palette but why would ABH put a colour in an eyeshadow palette and say it's not suitable for use near the eye? Isn't that the point of eyeshadow? This palette reminds me of Parisian Nudes by Laura Mercier.

Probably because it has more pigment than a typical eyeshadow which people tend to want
