Record the regular sermons that involve politics. Several of them. Then post them online and send them to a lawyer. There are many organizations that will take up the case for free. Because this violates the law. Church and state separation was originally to keep the state from getting involved with religion. People did not want a charitable organization which they donate to, to be taxed, as they themselves bad already been taxed. But the one rule to keep it this way, was for the church to not involve itself in politics. Don't tell people how to vote, or who to vote for. Period. If a religious institution starts promoting specific laws or politicians and telling people how to vote, it changes tax association from being a house of worship, to being a political action committee. It is using money i tended for a religious service, to become a political rally. And that means they are guilty of things like fraud and tax evasion. If you have spoken to leadership of the church, and they know about this behavior, and they have not stopped it, then they are fully aware they they are doing something illegal. Their house of worship status, specifically them being an untaxed organization, is in jeopardy. So, they either change, or start payiing taxes. It is literally the law, and so many churches have forgotten that the church/state separation was for their protection. If you really want to make an impact, and stop this behavior, walking out is not going to do it. They will just start smearing your names.
