So someone on SoundCloud said that it was his friend named Michael and his band named "Sparkplug" from Canada back in the day. They weren't signed to a label but they posted their songs to radio stations. They didn't give much more information after that.
sounds like the kind of band that has a discography. as opposed to some one-off. my guess is its another Canadian band. whoever the vocalist is, they know what they're doing.
