I was really disappointed with the OnePlus 7's camera too. "Depth sensor" just to call it a dual camera setup was not expected from a brand like OnePlus!
The OnePlus 7 should have had triple cameras, better haptics, 90Hz, etc (basically a 7T) and it could have launched at 38K (same price as 6T) and people would have been happy. But now after just 4 months (not even 6 months) they launched this. People who bought the 7 Pro for 49K just 4 months ago are seriously disappointed.
As a genuine OnePlus fan, I frankly feel the Pro model for 54K is absolutely worthless. 16K over the 7T for literally no tangible difference. Feels like they're too confident about their fanbase and banking on them to blindly get the product!

@Azar what update? You'll get software updates to improve small things but op7 lacks hardware like macro lens of op7t and this can't be fixed with software.

I agree. Most of phone review videos are boring and unhelpful. They never uncover phone weakness in good way and smartly mix phone weakness with user requirements. I bought iphone xr after watching various reviews that its very close to xs and money saver model whilst giving most of features. I was disappointed with bulky and thick dimensions along with Non 1080p display. If you listen to them, they will say its very good display even if its not 1080. But that is not right.

Even I'm feeling betrayed too, I bought OnePlus 6T (6/128) at the cost of 37999 rupees, after 2 months the OnePlus 6T (8/128) was being sold at the cost of 26000.

He is right this what even i feel 😪. I bought Onplus 6 last year and it's just 1 year and i feel my model is 3 generation older.
Finally someone who showed Oneplus their darker side. This is actually betrayal. Oneplus is now playing with everyone.
For the fucks sake they are not killing anyone. There is no 'darker side'. They are a company ,they are free to do what they want , same way consumers can choose their phone. Although i agree somewhat to this video i see some people blowing it out of proportion.

Absolutely spot on. I own OnePlus 6T and when I bought it.. my friends who owned OnePlus 6 were annoyed how fast their phone got old. A few months later I got into same boat with launch of OnePlus 7.
And guys with OnePlus 7 had it worst.. they got sent back to school within 4 months.
I bought one plus 7 for 33K and was immensely disappointed when the sold for flat 4000 less during sale. Difficult to explain what is OnePlus upto now.

Bought OnePlus 6 last year and in November when OnePlus 6T launched my OnePlus 6's performance dropped significantly. It took 2 months for OnePlus to provide stable update which sorted the thing.

In Oneplus 7/7t, you do have your flagship killer. In 7 pro/7t pro, you're getting 1000 dollar flagship at 700 dollar theoretically speaking.
But I've used 7 pro, Huawei mate 20 pro and currently a note 10 (regular non plus). I've to say Oneplus 7 pro felt the cheapest. Not recommended. But who are not nitpicking like me, can easily be Happy with the phone.

The trend of removing the headphone jack is really irritating and frustrating..I think all tech TH-camrs and the general public should make some noise to get it back.. waterproofing as an excuse to remove it is laughable cos there wer many devices that had a 3.5mm jack and still Wer ip68 rated (eg-Samsung flagships till they decided to remove it) Even though I own a pair of wireless headphones I find my headphone jack useful in many cases..I condemn the removal of headphone jack,especially when we have moved to having our entire music on our smartphones and need every possible connectivity solution for it especially something as basic as a 3.5 mm jack..f@#£ u apple for messing with our music and ur silly stupid trends and all other sheep which are following it

Awesome... Finally, some tier-1 reviewer addressing the elephant in the room. I couldn't move away from OnePlus because I was in love with Oxygen OS. I couldn't do without it. But because OnePlus's steep bleed into the more premium segment, I have decided my next phone wouldn't be a OnePlus.

I am also using 5T.. I love it except the Camera and I don't think recent OnePlus phone camera's have improved much and aren't worth upgrading except 7t having 90hz, wrap charge etc.. I have always been a fan of Pixel and it's camera but due to budget can't get one. Will get it on my first pay whenever I get a job.
I am using OnePlus 3, now will upgrade to Rog 2.

I'm so glad that a reviewer said this. I always felt that oneplus is going in the wrong direction with the pro lineup... this is by far the most honest video i have seen yet.. hope oneplus listens.
The pricing 'issue' seems fairly straight forward to me.
They have not done enough to generate the brand equity required to justify the prices they are now demanding.
They started with a 'budget' brand image and unfortunately are still stuck with it.
They could take a closer look at Volvo and see what their upper management did, to be able to sell Luxury cars from what was known to be a 'truck' manufacturer.
When we talk about the history of companies, we can't miss out on Sony.
I was a Sony user, now OnePlus. OnePlus somehow reminds me of Sony. Great products, but..

I felt the same I first purchased 7 pro when 7t launched I sold it for 30k in the span of 4 months they are launching new mobiles it's totally unfair for a user so I shifted to Asus Rog 2 atleast I can use for 1 year. TQ for the video they must feel the pain.

Seriously, man what are you doing? . I myself am using a Oneplus7pro and has no regrets. I was aware when I brought Oneplus7pro that there will be a Oneplus 7T and even a 7TPro later this year. However, what am concerned about is not whether my device is the latest in the market or not but whether it is still powerful and feature rich or not. Oneplus 7Pro still is an excellent device and 7TPro is just a minor upgrade. When you buy a flagship device, use it atleast for a whole year to get your money's worth and not fall on the hype train of newer releases.
P. S:Asus ROG 2 is a great device but I myself prefer Oxygen os and cameras of Oneplus7pro over Asus flagship. That is why I brought Oneplus7pro.However, each to his own.

Yeah I had purchased Oneplus one. I was a fan of oneplus & so many people I personally know have purchased oneplus phones was inspired by me. But after that never used another oneplus device mostly coz of their pricing, charger, battery, updates etc. From flagship killer to flagship itself. Huh!
