@@Arandomguyat1 I would've agree to this if I or he (Ranjit) said anything wrong. But, this time I think everything he said was completely logical. Content creators like him often have 8 GB RAM in their laptop/PC, they also don't need any more. Also, putting more RAM is definitely not 'INNOVATION'. Features like face recognition, voice assistant etc. can be considered as innovation, but RAM? Nobody needs more than 8GB RAM in a smartphone. Even if they did give it, it is useless because no app surpasses the usage. IMO companies need to focus on the quality of the existing features instead of trash features like 2 MP macro camera...

more RAM so that browsers stays with all the tabs and doesnt reloads and consume all my data. And all running apps stay there.
but actually i dont need it. earlier i had canvas turbo (17000/-) and its battery died so i exchanged it for Redmi note 3 (12000/-) but i just had to pay 9000/- with exchange value and im using it till 5G Network covers 50% of Indian Mainland.

Watching this in 2021. You are so true. Sometimes I feel someone told me this a few years back. I used to be crazy about smartphones. Didn't realize it wasn't worth paying so much hard earned money. Also, lately there has been no proper innovation. They purposely don't upgrade certain features so that they can introduce it in their future device and to compete with Apple, everyone is following in their footsteps increasing prices, removing headphone jacks and such. Its really infuriating. 5G isnt even here yet and everyone is simply investing in expensive phones promoting 5G support thinking they wont have to make new purchase when 5G is introduced. Sir you used to make videos like best phones under 15k like that. Please do that every 6 or 8 months so people can make an informed decision. You are one of the most reliable reviewers here.

Well said by him. 16 GB RAM is used by gaming laptops, and Windows games are usually very resource-heavy. 12 GB RAM on an Android smartphone is simply an absurd and unnecessary way to obtain boasting rights.
4GB is the best and enough for games too.
This is one reason why I consult tech channels only when I have to buy some new product, since technology gets outdated very quickly, and reviewers try extremely hard to convince customers to throw their money away when there simply is no need to. Upgrades really do not need to be undertaken as frequently as these manufacturers and biased reviewers suggest. This is why Geekyranjit has the respect he deserves.

Thank you for this video. I also couldnt understand why people were giving importance to gimmick features like macro lenses. Sad to say but many 'tech' youtubers unnecessarily hype phones like the new i phone se with half a day battery life.

Depends on your usage case and your ui. All Chinese brands have heavy ui which is not that optimised. But 4 gb is the sweet spot.
$gb ram is decent and 6GB is more than enough for everyone but the brands should optimize it. My k20 reloads some apps even with 6GB ram.

I saw your previous video too, regarding this very same topic and I must say you are blunt about your opinions and no one generally open for the fomo by brands. I was using Moto X Play and after using that for 3 and a half years and the screen broke I purchased Realme XT and then I decided to get away from all the new launches because marketing literally plays with people's psychology and I myself learning digital marketing I know how targeted marketing can be. I just keep myself updated once in a while and that's enough for me.
My request will be please do the same thing for laptops because in that field too marketing is going way ahead in nurturing minds.

I'm so glad someone called the refresh rate hype. I've been using the OnePlus 7T for over a month now, and I honestly don't see the difference between 90 Hz and 60 Hz. But every TH-camr goes crazy over 90 Hz.

this is the reality now a days, no one is talking about it, companies r making hype of such irrelevant features & most of the youtubers r blindly supporting such nonsense things. because of it the common people who is earning just 25-30k per month started buying such 30-40k highly priced phones & trapped in companies cheap business tactics.

2. 3 cameras namely a good primary camera with better post-processing, a 16MP wide angle camera and a telephoto lens with at least 5x zoom
3. OIS at 4K 60fps
4. Stereo speakers
5. No Ads
6. A good AMOLED screen
I think you are right I believe most consumers don’t change drastically their phone usage in their normal day unless they depend on the phone to make money like shooting videos or taking pics, etc.
Do factory reset in every 10 months and Google will send email "congratulations for new phone " and definitely u will see performance difference.
