    Rifles, shotguns, optics, ammunition. I have no preference on the subject matter. Every time I watch a video on this channel, I'm learning something. That's what I'm here for.

    Baffled by the comments on this video, haven’t you always made the odd video about rifles and non-shotgun related stuff? Personally much more interested in this but happy to watch both.

    Rifle content! Yeah, finally. I’m a 50/50 rifle/ shotgun shooter myself. For rifles though, I place my stocks in Germany..😅

    I've owned a BRX1 for 2 years now, bought it for the various features like the straight pull bolt, interchangeable barrels and the ability to switch between left and right hand aiming and shooting (I'm a lefty myself).
    What I can tell from my experience: the rifle lives up 100% to the Beretta pedigree. I like its weight, feel, ease of use, the way it fits with my aiming and shooting style. Without bragging, I never missed a shot with this rifle, although the distances I usually shoot from don't exceed 150m.
    It's a great option to consider!

      @robinpcavery 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Pretty much the same for me. I loved the concept and felt that at the price point it wouldn't be a bad shout as a first worker rifle that probably wouldn't lose that much value because it's quick convertible from back from left handed. I can also heartily recommend the Hollands rifle cinema as a great way of spending a morning - bit expensive if you start on the doubles, but somewhat cheaper when you switch on to a "house" BRX-1 in .308

    • @Bat-Fool
      @Bat-Fool 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      My experience has been exactly the same, other than I will criticize the fact that they have their 300 win mag barrel in 22".
      If you don't use a sound moderator on that thing, it is at Canon, and I don't always feel like using a suppressor so having an extra two or four more inches of barrel length would be nice.
      I have a 6.5 creedmoor barrel and a 308 barrel as well and I love those!

    Props for the .30-06. 8 lug, I can respect that. Bulky safty is nice in gloves.
    Do the Cabin Fever Challenge this year, Ant too.
    More rifle content please.
    Look at the Springfield 2020 (3/4" MOA guarantee) or the Wilson Nula M20 (I think the MOA is about the same). The Sako 100 Explorer is something I'd love to see you take apart.

    Beretta used to make a very good bolt action called the Mato (bear). It was, unfortunately, overly expensive and was eventually discontinued.

    Had one. Broke it. Had lengthy row with GMK. Got a new one. Clean the bolt a lot - it doesn’t like abuse.

    • @nicktubby3768
      @nicktubby3768 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I was trying to cycle the bolt at speed and it didn’t eject the spent round properly and it then fouled the breach by bending the next round. The shop I bought it from sent it back to GMK who claimed the barrel was rusty… though it had less than 20 rounds through it and was properly stored. After much looking on forums, it seemed GMK has told a number of users the same thing. After much wrangling, they supplied me a new rifle for the price of a new barrel. The new one has operated well, but you do need to keep the bolt cleaned and oiled for it to be reliable. It’s spending more time in the cabinet as my Tika T3 has become my go to.

    I think beretta makes quality products but for the price they are charging id be looking at a Sako/Tikka.
    The Franchi Momentum/Horizon is also under the beretta banner and i think they are about the best budget rifle on the market, only gripe is the built in sling swivels.

      @@collinius i can tell you from Germany when you have a Hunting License you go to a Store and buy one no Paperwork in Front needed after you bought one we must go to our local County Administration and Register the Supressor like a Rifle it costs 15€ but we can buy as many as we want there is no limit and buying and Register a Supressor is as easy as it gets
      And yes a Supressor is worth every Penny you pay for them 30-40% less Recoil and 30-40db less Noise no need to carry Earmuffs for Hunting
      I have 2 Supressors both Rodale Hybrid 47SH+ and a Hunter 50XK

    • @OliCM3
      @OliCM3 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Here in the UK you have to apply for each gun and any modifications to that gun, such as a moderator. Regulations are put in place to limit the deadly potential of a firearms owner - the range, rate of fire and the ease of concealment are the main aspects of what makes a gun more 'risky'. Applying for a bigger calibre will warrant investigation into the reasons why you absolutely need a more powerful gun, but applying for a silencer is almost a given.
      The vast majority of UK shooters use a silencer, many ranges even require them and I don’t know anyone who doesn’t use them for hunting. I’ve never shot mine without it, don’t know why anyone would.

    Thank you for your review. I heard that in the very beginning, this gun had some issues, fiering when the bolt was closed! Any idea if Beretta already solved this issue? Another concern: any chance that bolt safety fails and just hit you when fired? Appreciate your insight on these matters. These are the only answers holding me back in buying one.

    Been flirting with the idea of one and rebarreling/having the chamber bored out to 6.8 Western, keeps it legal (albiet highly overkill) for coyotes in Southern Ontario but ample power all the way up to moose.
    Seeing how easy the barrel comes off is great if I want other catridge options, but not sure if I misunderstood or if you are stuck with swapping out the entire barrel/rail/whatever you want to call it section? Was hoping with Beretta spec tolerances I could unscrew the one barrel and screw the next on and off I go (so long as the catridge rims match up obviously)

    Beretta paid YT channel reviewing a Beretta owned Rifle and used at a Beretta owned company and Beretta owned range using Beretta owned ammo...oh which the rifle clearly didn't group
    The UK didn't take to this at all, various reasons of which this channel didn't cover...wonder why...including the safety issues.
    Approx 60 for sale in the UK right now compared to say almost 300 Blaser.
    As for straight pull designed for driven...I'm sure Mr Mannlicher would probably say otherwise as it was designed for the military roll on a few years to the K31...same purpose.
    The safety mentioned...probably need to rewatch that bit about 2 stage..."Set the gun to fire to empty it"...what? it's either safety on or off and no locking of the bolt...
    The plastic...sorry "polymer" is the cheapest plastic...yes plastic...you could possibly want on a rifle. Makes Howa stocks, the Hogues, seem to be made of steel.
    How unstable are those sticks on the cinema?
    There have been so many problems that Beretta in the UK, aka GMK, for a long period didn't even admit to the BRX1...oh and GMK also distributre the Stalon suppressor.
    Sorry to be so critical, but when you openly tell people that Beretta are "Filling your pension" and then do a review of a rifle known to be shocking...come on...change the name of the channel to "tBs Outdoors"....the Beretta show....
