They really are a great little addition to the fleet, and I can't wait to use it again ... Top editing too Nicola
Thanks Chris, looking forward to taking ours to Tenby
Thank you for the video. It seems 6hp is barely enough to get this boat on plane with 3ppl onboard?
the boat did struggle to get on plane with 2 adults 2 children but we've bought it as a holiday boat so speed wasn't a consideration when pairing this boat and engine. Next trail run will be with the 15hp that we have
How do you find the 6hp with thr Bristol channel tides?
We were only in very close using the 6hp. To be honest I wouldn't recommend anything under a 9.9 for the Bristol Channel as the tide run can be very fast. Solo it is a great light weight combo tho.
I just bought one of these, but pairing it with a 20 HP Suzuki.
Just so you know they are rated to a 15hp.
@@frompooltopoolefishing6716 Since the 9.9, 15, and 20 are the same motor and weight I couldn't resist. I noticed a lot of SIBs in this size range will rate for a 15-25 HP. I want it to scoot... but hopefully not to the point of going for an unscheduled swim!
@@lombasto let us know how you get on. We've only tried with our 6hp. We also have a 20hp on our excel and a spare 15hp. Maybe we'll try the 15 next!
I have on 18 hp and runs nice
@@frompooltopoolefishing6716 had it out last weekend with two people, bernese mountain dog, and a cooler. GPS indicated top speed was 19 MPH. Planed well and hole shot seemed good, but was hoping to get more out of it! I’ll have to see how fast it goes with just me as it may have been a combined trim/weight distribution issue, as well as verify that I’m getting the RPMs by installing a tach. I see no reason for concern on putting a lightweight 20 on the dinghy
What inflation pressure is all your tubes, keel and air deck at? Mine seems to ventilate etc when inlfated to manufacturers recommendations. Have you gone higher?
We've pumped them upto the pressures stated on them it says on them what they should be. Floor Keel and tubes are all differnt as I remember.
Always worth checking pressures again once on the water as the cold water can make a small drop in pressure
