i feel like i need to make the switch 😭 they turned out soo good. my only question is how do you take off the prior set before starting a new one? do you drill, file, or soak them off?
Thank you for watching!! & that’s a great question: I soak them off with acetone. I use the nail clips, similar to the ones in the nail salon & use cotton balls with acetone to soak my nails. I take my nail file too to kind of buff off the layers too and use my cuticle pusher to gently remove the gel. Maybe I can do a video showing that process!
1.) It’s important to know that cure times (drying times) will vary based on the gel polish you’re using. Go based on the directions of your polish. Fully curing your nails for the right amount of time is important to keep from developing an allergy to the nail polish. 2.) Be sure to avoid getting gel polish on your skin. Make sure to clean up any polish on the skin with acetone before curing, as this also helps prevent any nail allergies. I am not a professional nail tech & this video only shows what I’ve learned along the way. As with all things, always make sure to do your own research and do what’s best for you! ☺️
