This game is awesome.
Australia bungled the game when a player, I think a power forward, split his charities which would have tied the game and would have change the complexity of the game. Australia has another chance to wrap up the game but its point guard went into heavy traffic under the board, commiting a turnover which but sealed the game for Germany. Germany had survived a lot of closed games but managed still to win which but underscore that it was destined to win the gold.

I always thought he was good. A well-rounded PG that can defend. Lakers were smart to pick him back up and their record improved again after they did. Schroeder is the wrong piece to be giving away. Lakers are headed in the wrong direction again. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: well-rounded PGs that can defend are a critical piece in this new post-2020 era. It will become common knowledge within the next few years and will influence the way teams draft and the way players develop.

Great Game! I've gotta say that the quality of coaching for the Aussies isn't quite up to the talent level of the players they have, or that of a lot of the other high quality basketball nations out there. I felt the same thing watching the Boomers Vs Slovenia game. Literally every stoppage of play where the Coach is able to have the most impact on the game (organising the team to do specific set plays), the opposition goes on a 8-2 or 10-3 run, which we then proceed to come back each time each game. This screams of amazing player talent, but poor quality coaching, in my opinion. Look out when Australia gets an NBA level coach to go alongside the talent!
All that being said, well played to Germany. Clearly a better offensive gameplan and execution. That, and Daniel Theis (Thais?) is an absolute beast defensively.
Both have terrific coach and players. It's a battle of strategy

It really was amazing how Germany beat all these teams with NBA players filling the team.
It was a very tight game close.
Patty Mills went ballistic in the first thereafter the Germans controlled Paddy very well.
Paddy did his best in the fourth quarter but way to desperate coughed up ball charging into heavy traffic.
I was disappointed in Josh giddy's performances he seemed to be looking for players to feed and was unable to take charge of the game in the fourth quarter. German player Schroeder was unstoppable from the start to the end. The way he moves and carries himself in the game reminds me of the great Michael Jordan in his heyday.

Two of the best 5 teams at World Cup right here. Canada,USA and Spain are the others. Two of these 5 will be knocked out after quarterfinal though, because of the uneven brackets and draw though. France is already gone because most of the good teams are in Indonesia or Japan. Phillipines way weaker field, missing superstars from teams.USA will make semi easily.I expect Germany and Australia to advance to quarterfinal instead of Doncic and Slovenia by the way too.Spain and Canada I think will be the other ones making it to quarterfinal from Indonesia and Japan side.
