Crazy how good you guys performed regarding all the problems you had. Coach Pesic is such a legend ❤️😭 And while this was a very physical match, I am pretty sure, that the refs missed several calls on both sides. I hope you will have all your best players available for Olympia next year. To me Serbia would instantly be the top favorite for the title and I can’t wait to see you guys play. Fun fact: Aside from being the champion , Germany have never lose a single game in the entire Fiba tournament!
Well if you think about it everybody has to lose apart from the winner of the tournament. Yes Germany could have lost in the group stage and still win it all but it‘s not that important in the group stages if you lose one game

Both Germany and Serbia played beautiful basketball. Huge respect 🙏 They are showing euro basketball is getting closer and closer to the NBA. In fact, I think euro players has much better awareness but NBA players has better physicality or solo attacking skill

@@user-hf8zv7qw4l Actually I agree with this. Shroeder just has more athleticism and really solid handles. Bogdan has great handles and while a bit of a liability on defense, he still will score 7-10 pts and give you 5-7 assists a game. He also will get you a steal a game as well and will never quit on defense. Bogdan and Jokic would be an epic duo for the Olympics.

7 years ago when I had a business trip to Hamburg, my global team colleague told me Germany's basketball is a joke and Dirk was never meant to be a German German, he was being "exported" to the US - I did not agree. Look at now, Germany is the World Basketball Champions!!

What cost Serbia this game was the two rush and forced fastbreak at 4:00 plus remaining, remember they made the deficit down to 3 and if they only set that 2 possession up they could have taken the lead. The other mistake was when Aleksa Avramović was on fire, all of a sudden Marko Gudurić took the ball off Avramovic, he took shots and the worse was the corner 3 Guduric missed and that was for the tie and if only he give an extra pass to the hot hands Avramovic who by the way was wide open at the right top of the 3 points lane. Guduric cost them the game.

@@NikolaGavic nope not Avramovic, he did well until Guduric came and ruin things. The 2 fastbreak that was 1 against 4 and made by there bigs that might be pressure get to them, rushing because it was a 10 plus deficit, but they still manage to caught Germany up, Germany began protecting the lead rather than just playing on. Those two rush Fastbreak and Guduric is to blame.
They did not rebound the ball in 55 seconds after Gurudic's failed 3 point attempt. They could have done easy two points not 3 pointer. They did not guard Schroder at 25 seconds. Lastly, the Guduric TO cost them the game.

Germany played the best throught the whole tournament and was better in the finals a well deserved wun, Serbia played amazing, we missed MVP of NBA Jokić and MVP of Euroleague Micić and we miss Kalinić from Barcelona, Nedović Red Star, Pokuševski Oklahoma, Simanić lost the kidney in 3rd game and Dobrić who was one of rhe key players at the start of the funal game but still we played amazingly, high team spirit, will to win, congrats Germany from Serbia

On a serious note, I am so proud of our guys. The team gave everything and each and every game another player stepped up to help us win. Right now, I am just happy. But lets not forget to give Serbia its praise. They had a lot to overcome during this tournament and missed a ton of key players to begin with. And yet, they fought like hell and reached the finals. It was a close game and I dont really want to play Serbia again next summer... at least not untill the Olympic final! Can we all agree to meet there again? 😁
@Americans, it's rather simple, here is an example of Germany becoming 'World Champions' as they won a World Cup. Winning a national competition does not, under any notion, make you 'World Champions'. Funny how that works isn't it?
