great review Mike! We have a Soul in the family, It is definitely a great little car. They're so popular because they can start with manual mirrors, windows, 6sp manual, and then go all the way up to an exclaim. It's a great car for many different types of consumers.

Liked your very detailed review. I own the 2018 Exclaim with all options including the panoramic sunroof. I switched from the Soul Plus to that. I started with the base model before the Plus. Very versatile vehicle. Kia s have become a very good car and reliable. Look forward to more reviews from you like the details you go into witch can help a buyer decide if its for them.

I bought a 2016 Kia Soul base model with the 6 speed manual transmission. I just about fell over when I went to insure it, my premium just about doubled. The reason being is that the Kia Soul has a very high theft rate thanks to the so called 'Kia Boyz.'
This would make a great all-terrain vehicle with a few modifications.
I think these Souls are sweet vehicles. They look so easy to drive and park in any spot.
I have 2 questions... Is there a difference between wagon and hatchback? Is there room in the trunk for a spare tire?
I have a 2016 Kia and the only thing I don't like about it is that there is no inside button for the trunk release... and that there is no spare tire

Yes but only if you jailbreak your phone. If you do a search on here, you'll find directions on how to do this.

I like really like the new Kia soul Tubo I think it's a great car but I was comparing it with the new chevy Equinox ltz and I wish the kia soul had 4 wheel drive that's the only reason why I would go for the Equinox ltz instead of the Kia Soul Tubo and being it up 4" higher

Was that one without a sunroof? I am trying to find out if the one without the panoramic sunroof package has a small sunroof or no sunroof at all.
That can be optioned but I think most have it added - it's $1000 - no option for a smaller sunroof though....

Dude, the exhaust header is in the front...the intake manifold is in the back....
I think the turbo air routing is confusing you.
Next to the intercooler in the front, is the exhaust header, that has a turbo routing on it. then there's the intake manifold in the back of the engine. Closest to the cabin of the car. I work on these front wheel drive cars, I know what they're built like.
Exhaust and turbo are in the back. Plastic intake going into the head is clearly shown in the video at 15:05. Exhaust is clearly shown exiting the rear of the engine at 0:23. Exhaust manifolds are not made of plastic btw.
