What a beautiful car. I love Kia. I have a 2016 Kia Sportage SX and I fell in love with it.
I never thought of KIA when our chevy equinox took a shit on me. The dealer said to take the KIA for a test drive. I was thinking nah....that is till my wife and i took it out. Ive got to say its one of the best riding/driving vehicles we have tested. No strange squeeks or rattles at all. Just a solid driving vehicle. It came home with us.

I bought my 2017 Sorento SLX V6 last February 15. It is the silver color, with the same interior as your demo. Plus, it has all the features you showed in the video. It is exactly the same car as you showed, except for the exterior color. I LOVE that car, Mike. I had a 2005 Kia Amanti that I traded in, so I'm familiar with Kias. The ONLY feature I found that my car does not have, is the rain-sensing windshield wipers. If it has that feature, I've not found out how to turn it on. My 2010 Mazda3 Hatchback has rain-sensing wipers, so I know how to turn them on, if the feature is present. The wiper handle on my car won't turn the wipers on for rain sensing. I just can't seem to verify that my Sorento has that feature. I would think that a car with all the features mine has, would also have the rain-sensing wipers. If mine had that feature, would it be listed on the window sticker that was on the car when it was new? My windows sticker does not show that feature. Is there any other way to determine that my car has that feature? Other that this one item, I am very please with the car, my wife and I love the ride, and am really glad we bought it over any of the other SUV's. I would recommend the car to anyone considering it. Thanks for the video. Good job on doing the video.

I have a 2020 Sorento SX AWD V6. And i have to say that i LOVE my SUV. It's far better than my previous 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD i had. From the extra room and the throaty and powerful V6 especially when in sport mode. And a VERY underrated Dynamax AWD system. Kia really hit this SUV out of the park. One thing i wish they had kept since they dropped the SXL trim in 2019. Was the ice cube style fog lights and ventilated seats. I know the SX trim had a package that kept the LED headlights, ventilated seats, heated steering wheel. However, the chrome rims were dropped completely due to chipping. Apparently they don't last in bad weather and the chrome finish just starts flaking off after a while. As much as they did look VERY nice. I was torn between this and a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and while the Cherokee offers a better 4WD system. It falls short on cargo space only having 68 cubic feet with all the seats folded flat. The Sorento bests it having 73 cubic feet. And those few extra cubes make ALL the difference folks. Especially, when your camping or taking a dog with you as i do. Everything is flat in the rear cargo area so Kia designed this very well. The Grand Cherokee rear wheel wells take up a lot of interior cargo space. Making it very narrow in the back. So that was a huge game changer for me as well when comparing the two SUV's. It doesn't surprise me now that it won best SUV in it's class. With only 38k on it i hope to have it for a long while.

Will the automatic tailgate open in a garage if the garage door is closed and it detects the keyfob within proximity? Was't sure if it is integrated with the backup sensors to tell it not to open so it doesn't damage the tailgate. My Sorento is another 4 weeks away from delivery.

Yes I will try to film more base models. Dealers like to show off all the features of the loaded vehicle (so do I) but I still like to show the basic vehicles as well.
I understand and some are really cool no doubt but I as well like to know some just plain basic features. I'm hoping car makers don't make all their cars push start. That's one big thing for me.

You are right I own this exact vehicle, in the exact coloring displayed. It is a beautiful interior. The seats are very comfortable.
No need to treat the leather due to perforations on seats for heating, and cooling. Treating seats would clog up the perforations. I have not had an issue keeping Ivory leather clean. I just use dishwashing liquid on a wet paper towel, then a paper towel to dry. That's all that is needed. Of course we don't eat in the car. (smile)

It is not hard to experience the heat reduction of privacy glass... just sit in the back with the window closed on a sunny day then open the window and you will feel the sun raising the temperature of your skin.
